We recently stayed at Joanne’s home in the Brighton Hove area. We were an extended family with 7 adults and 3 children. There was plenty of room for everyone with large bedrooms and comfortable beds. A wonderful Kitchin area with plenty of room to gather. The most amazing doors that open out to a beautiful and private yard. The home was a short walk to the beach, or to the bus (very reliable and comes often) to get to town. There is a tesco nearby as well as cafes for a morning coffee and bakery treat. The only item to be aware of is that the stairs are a bit steep so if you have accessibility issues, this might not be the right fit. Overall, we would highly recommend this property and certainly rent again. Thank you Joanne! Beth

My friends and I had the most incredible time staying in Brighton thanks to this amazing accommodation ❤️ with it being metres away from the sea front we caught some beautiful sunrises and sunsets, enjoyed all the local restaurants and had the best time seeing friends! The home was beautiful, so much space, so many kitchen facilities, beautiful main bathroom, comfy beds and even a surprise terrace ❤️ not a single fault! Thank you Dawn.

This was a return visit to this lovely house. The house is bright, clean, well equipped, and not cluttered at all. The kitchen is bright and has everything you'd need. Old Town is a lovely area of Eastbourne. We are a family of four, the bedroom set up is perfect for us. There are nice playgrounds in Gildredge Park and the nearby recreation ground (i forget the name). Recommended :)

Stayed here with my Wife and Son (18 months) for 1 week and was very happy with our stay. The house is a good size and location was ideal. Graham was a very accommodating host and answered any questions we had very quickly, despite being on holiday at the time (sorry Graham). Sad we did not get to use the rear patio due to cold/wet weather but looks like a lovely spot to spend your time in the warmer months. Great stay. Will definitely be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Candy box for my hen weekend! it's a very unusual townhouse shape based over like 4 floors but every room has its own flare. we used the top bedroom as our main hang out space for 14 of us & were able to sit round the couches/table before going out on the town. On the first night there was some difficultly with the pull out sofa upstairs. The host very kindly after some messages back & forth with no success getting the pillows out came out to help as they lived very close by. Be aware when staying that a few of the beds are in the kitchen living areas so would highly recommend pre planning who goes in what room to ensure older family members get a proper bed rather than the sofa beds. Would definitely stay here again. 10-15 min walk from the train station & short walk to anything we went to that weekend.

Sehr freundliche, hilfsbereite und authentische Gastgeberin, die sich um die Gäste und deren Wohlergehen kümmert. Stetig erreichbar über email und Telefon. Liebevoll eingerichtetes Haus mit Wohlfühleffekt. Das habe ich von einem alten englischen Haus erwartet. Viel Platz für eine 4-köpfige Familie. Die Umgebung ist perfekt, das Meer direkt vor der Tür. Trubel am Palace Pier und ganz viele Shops und pubs etc. fußläufig erreichbar. Ganz tolle Unterkunft für 8 Tage oder mehr. Sehr zu empfehlen, wenn man nicht ins Hotel möchte.

We had a great stay here, would highly recommend! Renny was super helpful and friendly every step of the way, even prior to our stay. The house was spotless and felt cosy enough as a home away from home. It had everything needed for our stay and everyone agreed that the beds were comfy! Highlight was the location as it’s walkable to a lot of places in Brighton, including some of the hot spots and beach.

We loved at Jon’s . Wonderful stay and very relaxed. Truly Like away home. So much so, we booked longer terms stay later on. Jon had been a fantastic host and very responsive to all my messages. Easy check in and clear instructions. Co host Charlotte is wonderful to talk to. Thanks again , both

Great location, very close to the train station and the Lanes. The beach is a 10–15 minute walk, but the walk is very nice because you can go through the Lanes, which is full of cool local stores and places to eat or have a coffee. There are lots of pubs nearby, and a 24/7 convenience store just outside the building. At first, we didn’t know how to turn on the heating, but we sent a message to the owner, and he explained - there were instructions on how to turn it on, but all the radiators were turned off. Everything else in the house was great and clean. There is a nice terrace with a view where you can smoke or have a coffee.

We stayed here for the Brighton Marathon. Very close to train station. House is lovely and beds comfy.

Perfect for what we wanted! Nice little area for a few nice children’s parks and national trust place. Cottage was perfect, everything we needed in the kitchen, clean, and comfy bed! Little park right opposite and one stop few minutes walk. Hosts were very helpful and inviting and the welcome gift was a lovely thought.

Very quiet house, as described, and very comfortable inside. Parking space was clearly marked. EV charging in local car parks, a very short walk away. Would stay again.

Julian is a great host and the place is both lovely and beautiful. It was well stocked and had everything we needed for a nice stay. Couldn’t recommend more and very grateful for the hospitality!

Overall fabulous, but my feedback would be the room with the bunk beds was very small, obviously that can't be changed. There were no champagne glasses, but it seemed like that sort of place. Outside seating was only available for 6 yet there seemed room for a slightly larger table and more chairs, and perhaps something on the balcony to sit on. There wasn't a cafetiere there, and the coffee machine hadn't been cleaned but was single cup use and hard work! Perhaps we didn't read the small print here about the coffee!

This property in the heart of Arundel is an absolute gem. The home is spotlessly clean, tidy and well organised. The beds are all extremely comfortable with beautiful fresh linen, fluffy bath towels and bath mats, hairdryers and hand soap is all provided, you will have all that you need for a break in the beautiful town of Arundel. The lounge area is very comfortable and a well equipped kitchen allows you to prepare a meal or collect a delivery from one of the many local restaurants on the doorstep. If you do stay for a longer break, a full laundry with washing machine and ironing board is available in the basement along with a third WC. We stayed as a group of 6 adults and would not hesitate in booking again for a weekend or a 7 day break.

Very well kept property, lovely amenities provided, comfortable beds and good showers. Location right by the train station made getting into London very easy.

Nice cosy home. Basement kitchen and living area was a nice space to retreat to at the end of the day - perfect location for us, easy walk to the north lanes - fantastic Japanese/korean place to eat O’shio a few minutes walk away and couple of pubs at the end of the street. We visited in Feb so was cold and didn’t use the outdoor space - but would have made a nice spot to chill out in when warmer - Mathew was good, quick to respond with info etc - check-in etc all very nice easy. Would stay again next time we back in the uk/brighton!

Great location. We didn’t use the car once which is the sign of a good break. We managed to find a parking space less than 1 minute walk away which was ideal. House was lovely. Beds comfy and felt like home after a few days. Loved all the houseplants too. We didn’t use the garden or balcony as it was cold but would be great in warmer months. Pumpkin was well behaved too. We felt right at home in this great split-level home. The sunny roof terrace and sea view from some windows was a real bonus. Everything was immaculate and super practical - thank you for a great base in Brighton and Hove.

The property was very well presented and exactly as per the photos and description. The entry instructions and process was very easy and even included recommendations for restaurants etc. We would recommend this property for a central location to exploring Brighton.

We loved the house and fab location. It ticked all the boxes for a perfect getaway break. Hope to return another time and stay for longer!

C’était parfait, nous avons eu un coup de cœur pour cette si jolie et cosy maison, très propre, très fonctionnelle et très confortable. Avec un beau petit jardin. Bravo à Jill pour la rénovation ! Jill a aussi toujours été réactive et nous a parfaitement accompagnés, le processus d’accueil est très bon. Nous y avons passé un excellent séjour à la découverte de Brighton et de ses environs. Nous sommes également allés à Londres, c’était vraiment facile avec la gare de Portslade à moins de 10 min à pied. Il y a aussi des commerces à proximité. Les permis de stationnement fournis par Jill nous ont été très utiles étant venus de France en voiture. Nous serions bien restés plus longtemps et espérons avoir l’occasion de revenir dans cette maison !

This was a beautiful property, really nicely situated in a lovely town, with everything you need for an extended stay. The host is very friendly and super responsive and helpful. Thoroughly recommend staying here.

A great place to stay for a family break. The decoration throughout is beautiful and we felt at home straight away. We loved the front room especially and that we could all sit together at the table for breakfast and dinner. We will definitely be going back.
