My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our getaway to Kersmains bothy. It felt very luxurious, with plenty of space for two! The sunroom/ kitchen is a lovely space to cook and the living room is so cosy and atmospheric in the evenings. We loved the hot tub under the stars as there is very little light pollution. Perfect for a country escape to the borders.

A stunning property with the most incredible views. The kitchen was very well equipped, a lovely bathroom and a comfortable bed too. We spent a great weekend here and loved it. Only one slight downside, as others have mentioned, the hot tub takes around 6 hours to heat up by which time it was very dark. Such a shame we could not enjoy the fantastic views ! Other than that, we would highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again.

Had a lovely stay in this property and location met our needs perfectly . Hot tub was worth paying a bit extra for . Flat would be ideal for a larger group as the rooms are very spacious and well equipped . Only comment would be that some information on car parking would be helpful for those not familiar with the area . We were unaware of the existence of a garage until after check in . I knew where to park without charge in Melrose but it would be helpful to provide this information to other guests . Thank you for our stay . I would definitely recommend to others .

Absolutely stunning cottage! Me and my wife came away to have a last little get away before our baby came. And it absolutely fit the bill. Private enough to relax without worrying about anything but also has great links to Edinburgh and other places to explore. Would also recommend visiting the Buffalo Farm for some fresh meat and produce. We spent a day in Edinburgh to visit the zoo and ate at a wonderful restaurant called The Outsider. A great day out and couldn’t recommend more. But to sum it all up, If you want a chilled out time to unwind then this is the place for you. Or if you want to get out and explore local areas or go and see some sights this is also the place for you! Such a lovely place and would recommend to anyone! Thanks to the host for having us!!

Lovely cottage right next to the Pentland. We loved the cottage and the scenery around it. Kylie was lovely and easy to contact. Would recommend to anyone who wants to be close to Edinburgh but in nature.

Super logement , cocooning comme nous le souhaitions! Accès à Édimbourg relativement rapide. Attention aux instructions d’entrée, car le tri sélectif en Écosse n’est pas le même que le nôtre en France .. beaucoup plus poussé ce qui est un bon point pour l’environnement . J’ai fais par réflexe comme en France ce qui m’a value à juste titre un message D’Ali . Si je devais repartir en Écosse sans hésitation je reprendrais le même logement .. le SPA avec vue c’est un bonheur!

Our stay at the Distillers Cottage was absolutely amazing. From the day it was booked we were so excited to get there and it’s safe to say that it did not disappoint, if anything, it was even better than what we were expecting. Jenny was a fabulous host and responded to all questions and made the whole process so easy. When we arrived we loved looking around the place and seeing all the animals. The cottage was very well equipped and had everything we needed to ensure we had an enjoyable and memorable weekend. We also did a gin tasting session at the distillery and this was definitely a highlight. Thank you to Mary for this, she made the experience so fun and entertaining for us. Our personal highlight from our stay was star gazing from the hot tub - just wonderful! Thank you so much ☺️

Peaceful location close to lake. Great secure garden for dog. Loved the wood burner and supply of logs to make it cosy. House was warm. Good amount of space, living area in particular was great. Would use the conservatory in warmer weather, though there was a wood burner in there too so perhaps that too is warm when that is on but we didn't try it. Shower rather weak. Quite an isolated spot so took quite a while getting about as it was far off the beaten track - this was only a slight issue though as we were going to and from family in Roslin, but if you were not that would be fine - nice in fact, as it was right in the country. Overall would recommend and would stay again.

Had a lovely stay in this cottage. It was clean, warm and comfortable. Also, both the owner and agency were very responsive and helpful when we needed to stay longer than expected. Recommend without hesitation.

Amazing cottage on a beautiful estate. The cottage had everything you could need an was not only spacious but warm and cozy on the cold nights. Beds were comfortable. Lots of beautiful walks around the farm. Lots to see including sheep and two beautiful highland cows. Gwen was very helpful and lovely to deal with. Highly recommend.

Cosy comfy cottage in a great location. This is an old cottage with oodles of character. We were a little apprehensive that it may be a bit chilly, but no need as the whole cottage was really cosy. There was great communication with the hosts who were super helpful. We needed accommodation which was close to the hospital, which this is. However also felt we were in the middle of the countryside, a very peaceful stay. The bathroom could be doing with a wee freshen up & I think storage may be an issue if there were 4 people staying. However this would not put us off staying here again. Really glad we found this unique accommodation.

I would highly recommend a stay at this lovely Bothy. The location is so peaceful and there are excellent walks from the front door. The three bedrooms are an excellent size and the en-suite bathroom as well as a family bathroom was an added bonus. The bedding was of the highest quality, very efficient heating The kitchen was fully equipped to enable us to cook a full evening meal each day. With a sitting room, a beautiful conservatory and a large dining area, we were spoilt for choice. The conservatory was even warm enough for us to use on Xmas Day (in fairness it was a very mild day). Car is essential Very dog friendly location Would recommend a visit to the local whiskey distillery A Five star accommodation and we hope to return soon. Thank you also for creating a very festive feeling.

Thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend away . Matt greated us warmly and showed us around cottage when we arrived. Our dog loved the walks and river ,lovely peaceful spot. Well needed break from city life.

I had a lovely stay at Stables. It's very peaceful, the surroundings are beautiful. located near to Preston Hall, ideal for quiet retreat for a few days. The house was very clean with ample supplies. Henrietta had provided recommendations for local attractions and things to do around there as well. The only thing was that it was a bit difficult to find the place as we were driving around about 10 mins before we reached the correct place. Thank you for the lovely stay. Devika

Absolutely perfect! perfect place for a relaxing and private getaway with stunning views and quick easy access to shops and Edinburgh. As well as local wildlife such as golden eagle just round the corner absolutely brilliant.

The cottage was lovely and cozy. Corinne and Charlotte were very helpful and approachable. We always loved visiting Edinburgh but our stay at this cottage made even better trip. We will definitely consider booking the same place again for our next visit to Edinburgh.

We have just had an amazing four day stay at Newhall. The apartment is small but lovely for two people with every detail considered. Everything is excellent quality including the amazingly comfortable beds!! The grounds are beautiful and there are some amazing walks from your door step. If you want to venture out, the Pentland hills are less than ten minutes drive away for even more beautiful walks. Gwen and the team were all so friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. We were staying as our cat was getting treatment at the Royal Dick Small Animal Hospital but the apartment made us so feel so comfortable and at home during a tricky time! Thank you so much much for an amazing stay!
