This place is a hidden gem! A lot of thought was put into the design and functionality of these cabins - they are beautiful and extremely cozy. The view of the sunset over the lake was a highlight. The sauna was easy to operate and I loved being able to see the lake from inside. The projector TV in the bedroom was also such a cool touch. I absolutely loved this cabin. Can’t wait to come back in the summer!

Perfect for our needs and dogs.

I was searching for an affordable lake cabin and the Lakeside Lodge was the best bang for our buck. Exactly what we were looking for to unplug, celebrate our last month as a family of 2 and enjoy the views. The lake was frozen over and it was enjoyable to watch all the ice fishers from the cabin. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay inside for a long weekend. Jackson even gave us a sentimental gift upon arrival. We had a very warm welcome. We look forward to coming again.

My family and I enjoyed our stay. The cabin is beautifully decorated and clean ( loved the use of wood, especially photograph frames and mirror.) It's nice that they have water toys available, but carrying kayak and paddle board down a steep flight of stairs to get to the water was a bit daunting. Just something to be aware of that it's not simple if you want to just hop on the water. The fire pit was great, the views and sunsets were amazing. There were strong winds for part of the time we were there and it was great listening to the waves crashing just like the ocean. Overall was a good experience and I would definitely recommend!

Had a relaxing weekend here with three friends. This is a beautiful location with large windows showcasing the nature surrounding the cabin. Plenty of room for everyone with three large bedrooms and a loft. We enjoyed the fireplace and cooking in the kitchen. The open concept allowed us to spend time together while cooking. I’d recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful getaway. Also close to parks and small towns, but we mostly enjoyed the cabin! Lindsey was a great host and helped us immediately when we had a question about the stove.

Tim was very helpful in helping us plan our stay! he gave us lots of local recommendations and answered our many questions quickly! the cabins we stayed in were very clean and well equipped with everything we needed!

I had a great stay. I went solo and felt like it was enough room. I loved the back yard and the view of the lake. Our host was very responsive with any questions I had. But I would mention that the window in the bathroom does not have anything from keeping someone to look in. But besides that, I’d definitely stay here again if I’m ever back in the area.

Beautiful little cabin! And a beautiful yard. Had tons of space to barbecue and have a bonfire with the kids. Highly recommended it!

It was a perfect family trip, thanks to this Airbnb. The place had everything we needed, along with a beautiful view of the Rum River. The campfire and stargazing at night were truly memorable. The host was very responsive and super kind, making our stay even more enjoyable. We would definitely visit again!

We loved Penny's place located right on the water. Enjoyed relaxing on the deck while viewing the beautiful lake Milacs. Rented a pontoon boat for half a day fron a nearby reresort and hiked in Kathio State Park. Hope to return next year. Thanks for a lovely stay on our 35th Wedding Anniversary.

The cabin was very cozy, clean, and comfortable. I had the greatest time celebrating my birthday with plenty of friends and family, and every one felt like there was enough space for sleeping and lounging. I would absolutely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a cabin stay not too far from the Twin Cities.

When we first stumbled on this adorable cottage on Airbnb, it seemed too good to be true. What a find! We were provided with all the information we needed as far as check-in/out details and everything in the Airbnb was labeled so nicely and amazingly organized. Communication was very prompt. Beds were comfortable and living area was super cute and cozy. It was very tidy and well stocked. Tara and Dave were wonderful hosts who were available almost immediately with any communication. The Lakeside view is absolutely the highlight of this adorable little cottage. From the view inside, to sitting out on the deck overlooking Lake Mille Lacs. Picture perfect! Looking forward to staying here again.

This was a really special trip. We booked last minute after finding out my dad passed away and it was the perfect place to start healing. This cabin is adorable and has an incredible view. We were able to get a really beautiful view of the northern lights one night and we had beautiful sunsets everyday. There aren’t too many restaurants or things to do close by, which was what we were looking for, but just something to keep in mind. Although we didn’t bring our dogs, this was a very dog friendly rental. They had dog toys, bowls, and baggies. It’s a really sweet place and I hope we can come back. We did have some minor issues when we first arrived, but the owner was super responsive and very nice. Thanks for sharing your little slice of heaven with us!

Perfect location for a small team retreat. Kitchen was well-stocked with all the utensils we needed to make meals, the wood fireplace was great. Beautiful view of the lake.
