We had a fantastic stay here - a real gem as it’s close to the fun and activity of Muizenberg but at the house it’s very tranquil and spacious for the whole family. The kids loved the pedalos and canoe and playing in the lagoon and pool. There’s a lovely patio spot for evening drinks and BBQs. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. And the separate boat house meant two families were not on top of each other. I highly recommend!

A brilliant stay. Tony was great with communicating ahead of my stay, was extremely friendly throughout, and lovely to chat to. Had full use of the garden, pool and decking (with a lovely view), and will definitely be back.

Wonderful, wonderful spot in Bakoven. We had an amazing beach mostly to ourselves any time we were up for the 3-minute walk, and the kids played on the boulders and explored tidal pools there for hours. Lovely house for our family to unwind after a long few months.

What a lovely gem of a spot. Our family felt right at home and we had a divine and restful holiday. Avril is so kind and thoughtful, we cant thank her enough dor making our stay with two little kids that much easier and enjoyable.

Stayed for a week with my 2 kids and was perfect location to explore the south peninsula and close proximity to Muizenberg beach which was great for surfing. The local 5km parkrun on Saturday mornings at Zandvlei was a short drive to the opposite side of the lake. The outdoor entertainment area is very well sheltered from the wind and also has a retractible canopy should one require more shade, which we took advantage of, and braaied every evening. Everyone also had a lot of fun using the peddalo, canoe and row boat and we even tried our hand at fishing off the pier. The open plan indoor lounge/dining room is much larger than they look in the pictures and the main bedroom has a beautiful view out of the large sliding glass windows onto the lake. The area inside Marina de Gama is very safe and has some great walks around the island. Franks Bagels inside the Marina is also a must for a breakfast or lunch and is within walking distance. Will be back and highly recommend.

We stayed for a month in this beautiful home and it was a fantastic experience. The location is perfect,right on the lake, in a quiet, safe area. The house is spacious, well-equipped, and truly feels like a home. Our favorite part was the garden, with its lovely pool and breathtaking mountain views. During our stay, there were a few minor issues (such as the dishwasher, the gardener, and the pool), but none of these were things the owners could have foreseen or prevented. What really made the difference for us was how everything was handled—quickly, efficiently, and with great dedication. We especially want to highlight Veronica, the house concierge. Her service was exceptional. She solved every issue immediately, went above and beyond, and was always available to help and answer our questions. We have stayed in many Airbnbs all over the world, but we have never experienced this level of care and commitment. Thanks to her, our stay was seamless, and we felt completely supported. Thx!

Für fünf Nächte waren wir im März in diesem hervorragenden Airbnb. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist noch schöner und größer als auf den Fotos und es wirklich gut und geschmackvoll eingerichtet,. Es gibt zu den zwei Schlafzimmern, auch je zwei Bäder im ersten Stock und sogar noch eine kleine Toilette im Erdgeschoss. Was die Unterkunft besonders macht, ist ihre Lage. Marina da Gama ist eine Wohnanlage mit Häusern, die alle einen Zugang zum Wasser haben. Zu allen Häusern gehören Tretboote. Zur Unterkunft gehören zusätzlich noch zwei Kayaks. Wir haben beides sehr gerne genutzt. Die Sandvlei-Mündung ist eine außergewöhnliche Naturlandschaft und ist eine sichere Umgebung für Spaziergänger und Jogger. Die Kommunikation mit Dominique war gut. Wir können das Haus auf jeden Fall wärmstens empfehlen.

What a wonderful 10/10 experience this has been! Arrived here on new years, spent an entire month here and ended up booking an extra week. I don't want to leave this place at all. If you are looking for an AirBnB gem, this is it. Besides the fact that this house looks like something straight out of Architectural Digest, it also feels equally amazing to be here. Ronell & Ghe made me feel like I was staying at the house of my long lost friends. From taking me on hikes, drinks, and having braai's together - they elevated my SA experience completely in the best way possible. I felt super safe as a solo female traveler, and felt extra loved by Sila&Bo, the cutest dogs who made this stay even more special. Ronell & Ghe really made me feel right at home. This was my first time in SA all and I gained two new south african friends, and hopefully one day: neighbours! Baaie dankie for one of the best experiences I could have dreamed of. I will be back <3
