“It’s the people who matter. Caretaker Mark and his family made us feel home from the instant we reached this place. These were some of the most humble people I’ve ever met. I was traveling with a 2yr old who wasn’t feeling well, Mark got medicines for us even late in the night. One of the highlight was the bonfire and dinner setup around it which made the stay extra special for us. The homecooked food was so amazing that we ended up eating at home on all days! Staywise- The villa is not luxurious but is functional. Location is at the centre with most attractions nearby.

Das Airbnb befindet sich super idyllisch in den Bergen - dadurch war dir Anreise recht schwierig (sehr schlechte, enge Straßen). Dafür wird man mit wunderbarer Ruhe belohnt! Das Haus und vor allem die Aussicht ist wunderschön, das Sahnehäubchen ist aber der private Koch, der uns kulinarisch verwöhnt hat. Die Kommunikation mit Jay und vorallem auch Anu war super. Wenn man Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit sucht, ist man hier genau richtig!!

Dávám jen 5 hvězdiček, protože nejde dát více. Dana komunikoval velmi pohotově a nic pro něho nebylo problém. Cokoliv jsme potřebovali bylo předem splněno. Je to velmi milý a přívětivý člověk. Praba byla naprostou úžasnou hostitelkou. Hned při příjezdu jsme měli připravený teplý čaj. Zeptala se nás, co bychom si prali k večeři, že nám to připraví. A to co připravila?? Slovy se nedá popsat, jak skvěle to bylo! Oba jsou moc skvělí lidé. Mrzí nás, že jsme museli odjet tak brzy. Hned jak to bude možné, vrátíme se tam!

Lasithas brother Damit and the rest of the crew were the most kind and helpful people! We found Ella town too busy and noisy for our taste but thanks to the incredible staff we got a memorable experience anyway!

Every other five star I've given pales in comparison to this place! Highlight of our whole Sri Lankan trip. Breakfast and dinner were incredible, probably the best food we have eaten in Sri Lanka. The whole family was so friendly and helpful and Romeni and Grace even gave us a cooking demonstration. The hike through the cloud forest with Lal is also fantastic. The accommodation is very peaceful, we were sad to leave! Thankyou again.

My entire stay at Edgar Mansion was truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the thoughtful attention to detail in the decor. Every corner of the house exuded a sense of elegance and warmth, creating an inviting and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere that made me feel right at home. I would also like to extend my deepest gratitude to Chef Reggie and his talented team. Not only did they prepare extraordinary meals that delighted the senses, but they also went above and beyond to attend to all our needs with genuine care and professionalism. Their dedication truly elevated the entire experience.

Had a wonderful stay at Boutique Villa Kandy. The villa is nestled in beautiful greenery, offering a peaceful and relaxing vibe. The room was spacious with a super comfy king bed, and the pool was perfect for a refreshing dip. Breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Special thanks to the host’s father – such a warm and charming man who made us feel truly welcome. Highly recommend this place for a serene getaway in Kandy!

Man ist wirklich mitten im Dschungel, die Straße zur Unterkunft ist mit einem Tuk tuk oder eigenem Auto nur schwer zu erreichen aber der Manager und sein Team holen einen im Dorf am Parkplatz ab. Abends wurden wir von der Frau bekocht, was jedesmal sehr lecker war, vegetarisch war auch kein Problem. Allerdings dran denken in Sri Lanka ist alles sehr scharf. 😉 Die Gastgeber sind mit am Gelände, also wenn man etwas braucht immer erreichbar. Wir hatten auch einen Fahrer der uns zum Lion Rock und zur Safari gefahren hat dort gewartet hat und uns wieder zurück gebracht hat. Mit der Kommunikation war es nicht immer so leicht aber es hat schon immer alles gut geklappt.

The Villa was absolutely perfect for a quiet getaway — Mohamed and Tuan were the perfect hosts: super responsive and polite, always helpful and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The space is spotless, the rooms were large and kept perfectly, and the view was unmatched. As long as you have transport to get you into Kandy, it’s also located conveniently so you can reach the city easily but still get the peace and quiet of the hills. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay with more attentive hosts!
