We loved the quiet, peaceful surroundings, the spaciousness of the cottage, and the beautiful views from every window. We love music and spent a couple of evenings just sipping wine and listening to music through the sound system routed through the ceilings. The kitchen was beyond well equipped! Further, Donna delivered extra pellets for the stove before we had to ask, and Erik generously mitigated the problem with the hot tub. Truly special hosts who care about their guests and their comfort.

We had such a lovely family retreat. The lot size was VERY spacious and had room for many outdoor activities. That said, it would have been amazing to have a fenced in yard for our dogs, but we knew what we were getting into. Everything was clean and organized. Being right on the water was amazing! The kids were able to play by the shore and we were all able to enjoy the water. Liz’s place was absolutely beautiful, its likes a nice country get away and i loved it! the place itself is so amazing and the surrounding property is so gorgeous. Liz was very helpful giving local recommendations of things to do in the area. Overall it was an amazing stay!

Beautiful house, very clean, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, new bath towels and conveniently located! The only thing I would mention is that the EV charger was quite slow, definitely not a level 2, but not a deal breaker for us. Would definitely stay there again on my next trip to Ottawa!

We absolutely loved our stay here for Valentines Days Weekend. It was our last Valentine’s Day as a family of 2 and really need a getaway and Rob and Shari’s place was the perfect spot. We fell inlove with their air bnb instantly and would instantly love there if we could in a heartbeat. Rob and Shari are so friendly and very welcoming. Always checked in during the snow storm to make sure if we go out to let them know so they could get the snow all cleaned so we could get out and all. Their place is insanely beautiful and very high tech which we love and very large . Perfect location. We plan on coming back again and hopefully next time it will be with our little one :)

We had a great stay. Shari's place was exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated, we immediately felt right at home in such a lovely oasis of calm. The suite is very well equipped for a very comfortable stay, we appreciated the extra touches of complementary items including some delicious chocolate treats! And we delighted in soaking up the warmth from the fireplace on a cold November night. Perth is only a few minutes drive away for all shopping needs. We look forward to returning in warmer weather when we can enjoy the welcoming outdoor patio. Highly recommend Shari's suite to all.

The house is outstanding. Everything you need for a perfect stay. Beds are very comfortable and we all slept well. Kitchen fully equipped. Super clean and beautifully decorated. The views are incredible. Hosts were very responsive plus gave us tips of places to eat and told us things that are going on in the area. Super friendly. We will definitely be back to stay again. Highly recommend you visit. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Our stay at the cabin on Golden Lake was absolutely perfect! As always, we were warmly greeted by Cindy, whose friendly smile and attentive care make every visit feel extra special. The cabin was already warm upon arrival, and its cozy ambiance welcomed us for a relaxing weekend getaway. We were delighted to find delicious Lindor chocolates waiting for us—a sweet and thoughtful touch! The log cabin itself is absolutely charming, with its 3 beautifully appointed bedrooms. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the cabin was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need. The terrace offers stunning views of Golden Lake, where you can enjoy ice fishing or skating right outside your door. Plus, we discovered an incredible skating trail in the nearby woods—an absolute must-try for outdoor enthusiasts. We can’t wait to come back again. Thank you, Cindy and Desmond for making this another unforgettable experience

This is an amazing place to stay. Very simple, tidy and clean cabin in a beautiful and pleasant setting next to an aptly named “Lazy River”. And getting there is very much worth the time and effort. Winding through the Amish countryside farms makes the journey almost as relaxing as the destination. It feels like you’ve gone back in time. Note to travelers: The Amish will wave to you if wave first.

Place as advertized. All amenities there that were needed. Nice and quiet. Good place to telax.

We had a fantastic stay for a long weekend (birthday) getaway. Nice private location with a view. Enjoyed the hot-tub while watching the first snowfall of the season, wood stove and the well stocked kitchen. Host even left some treats for my pup, which she really enjoyed and was very responsive/helpful. Pros: private location, right on the water, kayak/canoe/hot tub for use, well stocked kitchen, responsive host! Cons: (only 1!) mice! My dog could not stop hunting the cabin throughout our stay lol (she is dedicated, like a cat!) , and we did find some droppings on the dishes in the cupboards, before use. Overall - we had a fantastic time. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay. We hope to be back soon!

We had the most peaceful winter getaway at the cabin! The cabin was the perfect place to get out of the city and enjoy the natural surroundings, the quiet, and the snow. We loved having a cozy fire in the woodstove or a hottub soak after a snowy hike or snowshoe at Gatineau Park. What a beautiful place. Thank you Kim and Scott!!

We loved our stay at "A Little Cabin in the Woods" in February 2025! Nice and secluded with a wonderful view from the front porch and fire pit area, which is where we cooked one of our suppers! Can't beat fire cooking! The drive from Canada was easy and we especially liked seeing both farm animals (chickens and goats) and wildlife (deer) on the road to the cabin! If you're looking to unwind and disconnect, this is the place to go! We'll be back!
