Amazing place! If you're looking for a calm stay away from the most touristic areas this is it. Lovely decorated and close to a perfectly empty beach. We really loved it, hope to be back soon. Can totally recommend this place especially for families.

Unser Happy-Place auf Sansibar (English review please see below) Wir durften im August zwei Nächte bei Leila und Abbas im Laguna Palace verbringen und haben die Zeit dort sehr genossen. Wir hatten die Wohnung mit der riesigen Dachterrasse. Diese war mit Abstand die am liebevollsten eingerichtete Wohnung unserer gesamten Sansibarreise. Die Wohnung selbst war luft- und lichtdurchflutet, unter dem Moskitonetz liess es sich nach einem Blick in den tollen Sternenhimmel von der Dachterrasse inmitten des Dschungels gemütlich schlummern. Leila und Abbas, mit denen wir zwei tolle Abende verbringen durften, sind herausragende Gastgeber, die uns wie Freunde begrüßt haben. Auch das gesamte Team im Laguna Palace ist super- Winny servierte uns nicht nur das leckere Frühstück, sondern begeisterte uns an einem Abend beim gemeinsamen Abendessen am Pool mit ihrem "Octopus-Curry mit Kokos-Reis". Den Abend ließen wir dann bei Wein, Bier und netten Gesprächen am Lagerfeuer ausklingen. Der Strand ist in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß (barfuß ist möglich) erreichbar, der Sonnenuntergang in der Kae Funk Bar ist ein absolutes Muss. Wir waren traurig, dass wir nach nur zwei Nächten wieder abreisen mussten und ärgerten uns, dass wir nicht länger gebucht hatten. Herzlichsten Dank liebe Leila, lieber Abbas- wir kommen ganz sicher zurück! Our Happy Place on Sansibar We had the luck to spend two nights in Leilas and Abbas "Laguna Palace" this year in August and enjoyed the time there a lot. We slept in the apartement with the huge roof terrace, this appartement was by far the most adorable accomodation of our whole Sansibar trip. The flat was airy and lovely decorated, the view from the roof terrace into the jungle or in the night into the starlit sky was amazing. Leila and Abbas were perfect hosts, they welcomed us as friends and made us feel at home. We spent two very funny nights with them including a delicious dinner (the Octopus-Curry of Winny is great) and later a nice and relaxed chat at the bonfire. They also have a very nice team in the Laguna Palace and they offer a very good breakfast. The walk to the beach - u can walk barefoot - takes only a few minutes, the sundown at the Kae Funk Bar is a must do. We were very sad that we only booked two nights, thank you so much Leila and Abbas, we will come back for sure!

The communication with Bagamoyo went smoothly, the accommodation is beautifully located and overall we were very happy with the booking. The garden is a dream and the breakfast exceeded all expectations. Very, very friendly staff at the Spice Villa. We would love to come back. Thank you for everything!

Utupoa made me feel so at home, that I didn't want to leave at all :) I stayed for a week and felt so welcome. Joyce is an amazing, kind and very cool woman! With soo many interesting storys, I could listen to her for hours. But not only Joyce was great, her staff was lovely as well and helps with everything. The food is very delicious and freshly cooked. Utupoa is so, so beautiful with a fascinating garden and a huge mainhouse, with lots to see. I love, love, loved the view! The beach is great aswell and much quieter than other places, with viewer beachboys. Snorkeling is awesome with plenty of sealife to see. Mnemba Island is not far away and a must do for diving or snorkling - breathtakingly beautiful! I enjoyed the dinners with the other guests and Joyce, we had lots of fun. I met super cool people :). Utupoa is a home away from home with so much character, heart and sunshine. I would go back any time and hope I can one day. Asante sana Joyce!

Super location, everything was nice, good breakfast, kitchen in the garden with coffie anytime, grill, all personnel was fantastic. Clean, no smell, net mosquito, airy. I would like to back to this place again. I recomend this accomodation! Negative: Often does not flow water, but owner always arranged lorry cistern.

Erkan place is located in the most beautiful part of Nungwi with many amazing restaurants and beaches. It is a super peaceful place to stay, surrounded by palm tree and very clean and secure - feels like best vacations memories. Erkan itself is a very friendly person, super collaborative and easygoing. He recommended us couple of best worth spending places around Nungwi and I must admit all of the were spot on.

J’ai passé d’excellents moments à Kweli House. Merci à tous pour le super accueil qui m’a été réservé. Merci à Eddy de m’avoir aidé et accompagné tout le long de mon voyage. Le logement se trouve dans un environnement très agréable et à quelques minutes à pieds d’une très jolie plage. Je reviendrai avec grand plaisir !

We spent almost a month in this house. The room is great, the place is quiet and everything is green. There were very tasty and varied breakfasts. The room was always clean, bed linen and towels were changed regularly. Special thanks to Mudi for this! When the electricity was out on the island, this house always had electricity and Wi-Fi, which made remote work comfortable at any time. I would like to separately mention the owners Simona, Musa and their wonderful daughter Jamilla :) Wonderful people with whom it is interesting to communicate, from the first minutes it became clear that these people treat their guests very warmly and love to host people. We will definitely come to Simona and her family to visit again!

Simba und sein gesamtes Team haben sich zu jeder Zeit um einen gekümmert, egal ob es mitten in der Nacht war oder ganz in der Früh. Die Unterkunft hat mit die beste Lage auf Zanzibar, da man sich ganz entspannt am nahegelegenen Strand Sonnen kann oder doch abends mal zum ausgehen in die nächste Stadt fahren kann. Die Unterkunft bietet alles was man braucht. Das Essen ist super. Simba sorgt sich nicht nur um seine Gäste sondert hilft seinen Mitarbeitern bei jedem Anlass, das kriegt man nicht überall. Wir freuen uns solche herzlichen Menschen kennenden zu dürfen.

Two two seven exceeded our expectations ! The place looked even better than the pictures. Azania was warm and accommodating, and she and the team went out of their way to accommodate our needs - we’d love to go back. They gave us recommendations on what to do and kindly connected us to other people and activities in any ngwi. The company was great too! Omar from Two Two Seven was super helpful and sociable, available for any questions or assistance we needed. The stay at Two two seven was genuinely one of the best highlights of our holiday in Zanzibar. Thank you to Omar and our host Azania !

Klare Empfehlung! Wer es ruhig, etwas kleiner, individuell und persönlich mag, ist hier genau richtig! Von Buchung bis Checkout (und darüber hinaus) die beste Entscheidung für Afya-Village! Die Häuschen liebevoll, individuell und sauber. Ich hab mich so wohl gefühlt und nichts hat mir gefehlt! Und die Atmosphäre fast schon familiär :) Schwimmschuhe sind beim Zugang zu Strand & Wasser hilfreich! Verpflegung immer reichlich und sehr lecker. Und so günstig, wie ich fand. Très bon séjour à Aya beach. Vue magnifique depuis la piscine et le restaurant. Accessible à pied du village. Personnel réactif et très sympathique. Chambre très propre. Au top.

Beautiful stay at Lalacabana, room was gorgeous and clean, beach was a 2 minute walk away with wonderful restaurants, and the amenities were everything you need and more (lovely pool and even lovelier restaurant for great prices). Thank you Lalacabana!

Eine wirklich süße Unterkunft. Die Besitzer sind super freundlich und hilfsbereit, die Lage ist sehr ruhig und friedlich. Wir waren insgesamt 8 Tage hier zu Gast und haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Das Frühstück war jeden Tag anders, immer mit einem Teller frischem Obst und gutem Kaffee. Das Wasser in der Dusche ist etwas salzig aber nichts worüber man sich beschweren sollte. Die Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden und kommen gern wieder.

Great value for the amount of money paid the staff was very attentive and always on call to be helpful the room was as described overall a positive experience I’d only say to anyone who is visiting and isn’t use to being in a hot environment to bring a small portable fan with you. There are ceiling fans and air conditioning though but definitely would stay again

My stay at this Airbnb in Nungwi was excellent. It’s a 9-minute walk to the beach and 5 minutes to the main road for transport to Stone Town or nearby beaches. The room was spacious, spotless, and had AC, making it very comfortable. I arrived at 11 PM, and check-in was seamless the staff was ready to welcome me. Though there are occasional power outages and unpaved access roads, this didn’t affect my experience. The staff and manager were incredibly kind and quick to help when I had an issue with the safe, which gave me great confidence. Also, I never witnessed any mistreatment of staff by the manager, as mentioned in one of the reviews. If you’re visiting Nungwi, this is a fantastic choice at an excellent price. The breakfast is amazing, and the soups are fresh and delicious. 5 stars without a doubt!

Welcoming and warm atmosphere. I've stayed there for more than a month and will definitely go there again. The owner and staff are amazing and really friendly and helpful! If you ask, you will get whatever you need: Advise on places to visit, help with Swahili, great food (special thanks to chef Ali), .... If you are looking for a lovely place with personal details and a friendly/family vibe, you will have an amazing time. Looking forward to see you all again!
