Fantastic peaceful stay in a beautifully located area. The accomodation was everything we hoped for from the details given on the website. The owners were friendly and responsive to any questions we had. Detailed instructions were at the property for everything and Joe came to meet us to explain everything in more detail. Even how to get the fire going to enable the heating to work. They even came by each day to check the hot tub and set the fire up ready to light it when we came back Every detail was thought of within the property from milk in the fridge to board games We loved the geese and ducks on site We loved the hot tub and sauna room too The local pub and food recommendations and local places to visit were greatly appreciated too We would highly recommend this place to friends/family who want to get away from it all and totally relax with the benefit of being a short drive to nearby towns and visitor attractions if you need that too

Myself and my partner stayed here to celebrate our birthdays. We had a wonderful time and are sad to leave. Hot tub was brilliant - lovely and clean upon arrival. Barn was also clean and tidy. Lots of things to places to eat and drink in Abergavenny. Would 100% recommend stopping here.

Absolutely loved our stay here! Came for the wife's 30th birthday, the hot tube under the stars was beautiful. Laura was brilliant, always responded to messages in a timely manner. The cider is lovely as well! Make sure to get yourself some. Plenty of walking trails around, our dog loved the place. Also Ewyas Harold, Is pretty local with a couple of nice pubs and a great chippy.

Had a lovely weekend with my family at Old Barn House including three very young grandchildren! We were extremely well catered for; stair-gates , cot and high chair plus well equipped kitchen. The house was very comfortable and the extra touches like small hamper with goodies were appreciated. I couldn’t find anything that was missing so would highly recommend this accommodation to other families! Thank you Sarah and Liz for being so friendly and helpful too!

Thank you for allowing us to stay in this lovely cottage, it's central to the village so walkable to everything. Chip Shop next door but don't be put off you couldn't tell and it's great food. Walking is fabulous and Britannia and Horse Shoe Inn are brilliant.

We had a wonderful stay. The house is in a beautiful location with amazing views. We were worried about the road to the house as it was long and steep but excellent instructions really helped and both our cars got right to the top. One of our cars was electric and low too! The house was cosy and homely and sitting by the log fire in the evening was a real treat. We went for a walk from the cottage and saw even more amazing views. About an hour's drive away were also some beautiful waterfalls. It is a perfect location if you like to get away from it all, enjoy being surrounded by nature but still have the comforts of a warm and welcoming house.

The cottage is very comfortable, really enjoyed our stay. Thomas and Camille are very welcoming. The wood burner was a great addition, as was the basket of goodies etc. Would definitely recommend the cottage.

Well what an absolute gem of a place! We take an weekend annual trip with grown up children , small grandchildren and dogs each March. I was blown away on arrival to walk from the car port to the house which was like wandering through the secret garden. the house overall is vast for the number people of staying- no falling over each other at all! Everything was spotlessly clean and felt quite luxurious, it was treat to be away from home. The house was equipped with everything we needed and more - the travel cot, high chair and even a step for the loo was much appreciated by the parents of the small children. The doggies loved their bowl, biscuits and towel and other provisions which were left. It allowed us to spend quality time together as a family. We took a walk down to the castle (dog friendly apart from upstairs area) - despite having grown up less than hour from Chepstow I had never been. It was so great not to have to use the car! I cannot recommend highly enough

Lovely couples stay with our dog. Wren cottage had everything we needed, it was clean, on a quiet lane and the dog wash area was great after muddy walks. It was the perfect place to base ourselves for exploring Wales/Forest of Dean. Highly recommend.

Nagi & Victoria’s place was perfect for us and a great walking holiday with our two dogs. The accommodation has excellent space outside to let your four legged friends free roam and inside is a well laid out space allowing for both family time and self time. Wish we could have stayed longer.

All was great whilst I was working away from home.

We had a lovely short break at the Walkers Rest. The property was beautiful, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed and more; Angharad had left us some lovely provisions which were greatly appreciated. As the weather was dry and fairly warm, we were able to sit out and enjoy watching and listening to the birds in the hedgerows. Angharad had left suggestions and recommendations within the property and we thoroughly enjoyed doing the Clytha short circular walk. Visits to Abergavennny and Crickhowell also made the break enjoyable. Thank you so much for letting us visit your wonderful property.

We had a lovely stay at Clare's place in le Hendre. It is brilliantly located if you want easy access to two lovely towns, and submersion into countryside. Thanks to Clare!

Incredibly relaxing stay at Birch Cottage. Cosy wood burner, kitchen well equipped, plenty of space, and sauna is a real nice touch. Phil is very quick to respond to any queries. Would definitely recommend (and hopefully come back and stay in the future).

The cottage at Glanau was an idyllic, beautiful surrounding for our 1st Valentines. No words do it justice. The fireplace and comfy sofa are mesmerising and afternoon naps are hard to avoid! Thank you both for hosting us and we will see you in the summer!

Peaceful, picturesque, and the cutest animals! Everything you’d want of a country retreat. The cottage is tastefully decorated with relaxation in mind. Robert was so welcoming and made us feel right at home. My favourite part was waking up to watch the sunrise whilst rabbits grazed the lawn through the floor to ceiling windows. My son loved the feeding the sheep/alpacas and seeing the new lambs. Some wonderful memories made!

We had a great four night stay at Sharon’s place. She was a very kind and generous host, and always responded quickly to messages if we had questions. The attic bedroom was super comfy! Would highly recommend. Thank you Sharon

I had a very comfortable stay at Lorna and David’s lodge. Check in was easy and the surroundings were beautiful and very quiet - just what I needed. The lodge had everything required for my stay ; the weather was great so I spent much of the time walking but could happily have spent more time indoors and felt at home. It was nice to meet Lorna shortly after arriving to be welcomed in person and the homemade cakes were very thoughtful! Thanks both for a lovely stay, I hope to visit again in future.

We had a wonderful stay over Christmas. The cottage was lovely and warm. There was so much to see and do in the area. Tracey was very helpful, friendly and welcoming.

Really lovely Air bnb, warm and cosy feel with everything we needed. Great to have the option of a log fire and bath after a long walk! The location is great, short walk to two local pubs and a village shop. Lots of lovely walks within half an hour drive or straight from the door! Gemma was super responsive and helpful, getting us a mattress topper for the bed which was a bit firm for us. Check in out out very easy. Parking on the road outside was no problem either. We would recommend.
