A comfortable stay in a great neighborhood of charming older homes with an amazing view of the lake. Since we were there in the colder season, we were not able to enjoy the lake access and water activities. our host Douglas was very responsive and had detailed helpful instructions.

The house was very spacious for our family of 6. We loved the location, view, and short drive to everything we wanted to do.

The house has old world farm-house charm and good vibes. The layout provides a number of rooms to hang out in so that folks can have privacy. The back yard is like an Andrew Wheth painting, with a few weathered back buildings and a cornfield. While it is sandwiched between a few houses, some businesses, and on a busy road, it always felt private. Bring a small fan to provide white noise to override some of the traffic noise, which was mostly in the morning.

As soon as we walked into the door, we felt at home. This was such a comfortable home to be an especially after a long journey. We would definitely recommend this house to others, and if we were ever in the area again, we would be staying there.

We travel a lot and this is one of the best Air BnB's we've ever stayed at. This house is equipped with literally everything. It is very clean and well kept. There are thoughtful touches like soft sheets, nice bath products, blackout shades, games, and local recommendations. On top of that (and much more) there are also surprise luxury touches like heated toilet seats and floors. This house is so comfortable and feel like home. It is very close to Main Street, where we enjoyed going to a few different bars and restaurants. This would be the perfect place for a large family, several couples, or a group of friends.

What a lovely place! It’s a quiet neighborhood, but right next to the commuter path. Nice vibe and relaxed atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this to friends and colleagues.

Jane responded fast to text messages. very kind, offered to tell about restaurants and local entertainment. I had an issue with the door ( operator error ) called Jane and she called me back to see if i was able to fix the issue, which was a simple fix. I will definitely make sure I reserve there again when I go back into town if available.

Joan's daughter, Rebekah, communicated directly with me through the Airbnb app. She provided detailed check-in instructions, a phone number to contact her, etc. It seems Rebekah lives in Hawaii so please keep note of that for response times, etc. The house was comfortable, very clean, and well-appointed. Joan and Rebekah have a beautiful collection of original art, artifacts, etc. so please keep that in mind if you are bringing small children to the home. Please note that the 1st floor bedroom has a king bed and full bathroom; and the lower level has 2 twin beds in the open area, 1 full bed and 1 twin bed in the first bedroom, and 1 full bed and 1 futon in the second bedroom (including a full laundry and utility room in a closed room).

Scott’s place was very nice! It was updated and clean. With the 3 bedrooms, it was a good home for our multigenerational family to have the space to come together at times and have the space we needed to spread out. The bottom bedroom was a bit chilly due to all of the beautiful, large windows, however, we found extra covers that allowed us to make due. I would suggest if you’re coming in the cooler months to bring warmer pajamas to sleep in. Thanks, Scott!

Enjoyed our trip to Galena and our stay in Elizabeth at the bnb. Only wish the temperature was warmer the weekend we was there but still had a good time

The home was spacious and very clean. The open area was great for our family. We loved the back deck and having a fire in the backyard. Having access to the clubhouse pool was fun for the kids.

Johnathan is one of the best host I had this far. He went above and beyond trying to help watch UFC 314.

This home was perfect for what we needed. We have been to Apple Canyon many times, to visit family, so we are familiar with the area. There was a ton of space for our kids to have their own space, if needed. Kitchen was very clean and well stocked. The deck and loft had a beautiful view of the lake, Perfect for a morning cup of coffee and a book. We didn't use the fire pit, but it looked like it would have been a great way to wrap up the day. I also wanted to make note of how accommodating the host was, as we thought we were going to arrive earlier than listed check-in and they were good with early entry to the home. We then had a brunch on departure day and when my husband called, they were very gracious and told us not to feel rushed to leave. We would definitely stay here again.

Joen and her husband were spectacular hosts! Stayed with my husband and 2 young children while I had a nearby work conference. The place was just as listed with all amenities we needed. The pool was great for the kids while I was away during the day. Plenty of space for the 4 of us to live for 3 days!

Good place to stay if you got a family, was very responsive to anything I needed. Appreciate her and her husband for it all

Joleen was a great host - very clear communication, easy check-in and check-out, and the home was beautifully decorated. Would recommend staying here to anyone visiting Monroe - we will be back for sure!

This was such a a lovely stay! we originally rented to host a holiday dinner, but we're surprised with the oberaltease of the stay and the walkable location. The apartment easily accommodated four people for dinner and an evening in, while also being the perfect location for walkable restaurants and things to do. The apartment overall was such a lovely stay! Hosts were responsive to any questions, and it was everything we were looking for. Would definitely stay here again!

Our stay at Tricia's was wonderful. We came into town, with our dog, to visit our son at school. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Check-in was convenient and Tricia was quick to respond if we needed anything. The neighborhood was very nice with a park and a few restaurants in walking distance. There was a short drive to campus which allowed us to pick up our son and bring him back to hang out. We all enjoyed ourselves and Tricia made it feel like home. The location was quiet with easy access. The pool table was a plus. the beds were fine. Temperature control is an issue but the hosts were responsive. They are right upstairs and are early risers - o problem for us as we are as well. The kitchen is really a wet bar with no stove ore stove top. i understand this but would have loved more cooking options.

Wanted to Stay Longer! We loved everything about this beautiful house. Beautiful decor, lovely lighting, gas fireplace, and sooooooo clean. The beds are amazingly comfortable. We stayed here on our drive back home to Montana after road-tripping to Indiana to adopt our dog. Dog & kids loved the spacious, fenced-in backyard. Stay here if you can. You will not want to leave.
