Great location, we were able to walk to everything! Emanuel was very helpful and was on the property basically all of the time so we were always able to get a hold of him. His mother, who owns a local soda, cooked breakfast for us and she was the sweetest lady. We even went to go visit her at her soda the next day! Would recommend!

Nous avons été très bien reçu par Diego et son équipe qui ont tout fait pour faciliter notre séjour et s’assurer de bâtir un programme d’activités qui répond à nos attentes et notre budget. Chaque fois que nous avions besoin d’un transport ils s’occupaient de tout et nous n’avions qu’à nous présenter à la porte à l’heure convenue. Plusieurs choix pour le petit déjeuner et c’est très bon. L’endroit est propre et bien tenu. La grande galerie est très confortable et accueillante, nous avons bien apprécié s’y installer pour lire quelques pages après une journée active, profiter de la brise et de la vue. Malheureusement, nous avons rencontré quelques difficultés lors du transport de Monteverde vers Tamarindo. Lorsque j’ai interpellé Diego pour qu’il m’aide à trouver une solution il a tout de suite pris ça en main et réglé la situation directement avec la compagnie de transport, de façon très efficace et satisfaisante. Pour l’endroit et pour le service, je recommande!

Keith is very heartwarming, open and friendly. Knows the neighborhood and always around for whatever you need. The dogs and cats were very cute as well and they put a lot of effort in hygiene because our room was very clean. The view and swimming pool were amazing and we enjoyed watching the stars in the hot tub one night (Keith was very persuasive, and we weren't disappointed!). We would strongly recommend it for everyone looking for a relaxing place with very good energy! Keith's place is a bit outside of Monteverde, but it's actually so easy to get to any of your planned activities. We had a small 4x4, but I think during the dry season another vehicle could suffice as well (it certainly wasn't the worst road we've seen in CR). We went to cafe Om on our way to Samara (after checking out) and had one of the best vegan lunches ever in a very nice setting with the purest ingredients and kindest people, so we would also recommend this if it fits your itinerary.

We absolutely loved our time at Leo & Reina’s. One of the most beautiful locations we have ever stayed in. We felt welcomed and right at home from the minute we got there. This was one of the best experiences we have had and would recommend staying here to family and friends. The grounds were peaceful and serene. We loved the walking trails on the property, the home cooked breakfast we were able to add on, the hammock that we were able to use and most of all how helpful and kind our hosts were. Amazing experience from start to finish.

We had a great stay at Camino Verde which has a central location for exploring the town. The room was cozy and the host very helpful arranging a shuttle to the Monteverde reserve. The included breakfast was much appreciated as well.

The Finca Camino Nuevo is a wonderful place to stay several days, a little remote from the quite touristy Santa Elena with a large beautiful natural surrounding and a nice view. The climate is very comfortable up there. When we arrived we even could enjoy the sunset from the smaller warm pool. The interieur over all of the common room and the yoga/music room is quite atmospheric, havin breakfast and dinner with the other guests is a nice occasion to meet people and to exchange travel experiences. We actually felt immediately like meeting good friends there. Food was just amazing!! There are many activities on site, so it's also nice just to hang out at the Finca for one day. To get to the reserves a car is advantageous, 10-20 min drive to different parks/activities, 5 min to Santa Elena. We had the room next to the Yoga room that doesn't have any view, but all the other rooms have a little terrace with a nice view and a hammock. We enjoyed our stay a lot, thanks to the super kind team!

My friends and I feel so lucky to have found BAUMA for our stay in La Fortuna. It didn’t disappoint. We loved having our own rooms with a common space to interact. The pool was a wonderful bonus. The landscaping was lush and luxurious. And we loved our view of Arenal. The interior was well-appointed, and spotlessly clean. We loved all of the poolside lounge furniture. The beds were comfortable, and we appreciated the AC in the bedrooms. BAUMA is half a kilometer from a small grocery store and several restaurants. The prime location near hot springs, the waterfall, the town, and key sites could not have been better. Communication with the host was excellent, and the staff onsite was helpful and friendly. BAUMA is offered at a great price point, less expensive than nearby resorts while offering luxury accommodations.

Abie’s place was just as described in a beautiful and serene location! The beds were comfortable and the patio was so peaceful to hang out at. The hotel staff was amazing and so attentive to our family! They were extremely hospitable! The amenities offered were great!

We were very pleased with our stay at Bereneice’s place , great location just a few minutes from la fortuna downtown, lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance, nice clean pool and jacuzzi with and amazing view of Arenal volcano , we followed some of the recommendations from Berenice and went to Cava wood fire pizza and it was delicious, overall a great place and a great experience, I had the opportunity to personally talk to Berenice on our way out and she is very friendly, definitely recommend her place to anyone looking to spend a few days in the area!

Logement incroyable ! Intime, aucun vis-à-vis avec les voisins, même quand on est dans le jacuzzi. La vue doit être extraordinaire quand il fait beau, hélas nous n’avons vu arenal que sous la brume durant nos trois jours là-bas, mais c’était déjà très beau ! L’endroit est assez calme si on fait abstraction du chantier adjacent et des chiens qui aboient aléatoire et parfois avec beaucoup d’ardeur. La route n’est pas accidentée, elle est certes sur une partie en terre et cailloux mais très bien tassée. La seule partie compliquée est celle pour accéder au parking du logement composée de cailloux uniquement. Le logement est très propre, le linge de maison aussi, ainsi que la cuisine ! Il comporte tout ce qu’il faut ! Le jacuzzi est immense et la douche extérieure incroyable !

The view of the Arenal Volcano from the hotel is just breathtaking. The hotel is so full of lush flowers, plants and trees that gives you serene feeling. The free daily breakfast with 3 options to choose from are delicious! The location is great, as it is walkable to a lot of restaurants, shops, market, bank, church and a park. We even saw a sloth and iguana during our stay here, not to mention different types of birds chirping around you. Truly a wonderful place, and will definitely stay here again.

We loved Casa del Rio! The staff was very present and accommodating. The location was remote and peaceful, yet close enough to town to walk or get a cheap ride. Our host let us have private access to Rio Fortuna where we took a refreshing dip our first night after a long day of travel! There are many restaurants near by with comida típica at fair prices if you don’t want to dine at the restaurant in Casa del Rio. We will gladly return to this Costa Rican Oasis! Highly recommend a morning trip to La Fortuna waterfall which is a short Uber from Casa Del Rio!

We enjoyed our stay with Yamileth. She immediately greeted us and made us feel welcome. She was very communicative and I knew I could reach out to her if I ever needed something. The place was relaxing, cozy, and had amazing views. There were some nice options of things to do in the area such as a night tour, coffee tour, and their family restaurant. It was great having a few options right next to where we were staying while being in a remote quiet area.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Toto’s Rooms in La Fortuna! From the moment we arrived, our hosts, Silvia and Melissa, were incredibly friendly, helpful, and responsive, ensuring we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. The highlight of our experience was the breathtaking view of Arenal Volcano from our private balcony deck. Surrounded by lush tropical nature and wildlife, the property felt like a peaceful retreat while still being just a short 5-10 minute walk to the central town. One of the best parts of our stay was relaxing in the private hot tub on the deck. We enjoyed dining on the patio while watching the sunset over the volcano—an unforgettable experience made even more special by the clear skies and perfect weather during our stay. Overall, we loved every moment of our stay and would highly recommend Toto’s rooms to anyone who is looking for beautiful, peaceful, and well located stay in La Fortuna. Karolina and Paul

Wow! We absolutely LOVED our stay at Villa Montreal in beautiful La Fortuna! We felt so relaxed, so happy, and made so many amazing memories! This house has everything to keep you comfortable and busy. Plus it’s clean, clutter- free and secure. The host was extremely responsive and also arranged excursions such as canyoning, white water rafting, and zip lining!!! When we weren’t exploring, we had a comfortable and spacious house to enjoy! The kids loved the volleyball/soccer court, pool table, ping pong table, pool, and foosball ! TVs in every room and a fully equipped kitchen :)) The house’s surroundings were beautiful, all you hear in the mornings are birds chirping. Unforgettable trip and we absolutely recommend it- don’t think twice! Great value too, considering how large the property is! You won’t regret it! Again, loved it so much !
