We recently stayed at Carter’s Hideaway near Fairy Stone State Park, and it was an excellent spot for a peaceful getaway. It was just the two of us, so we only used the main cabin, which was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The location is private and quiet, making it a great place to unwind. While the pool wasn’t open for the season, we still enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and easy access to Fairy Stone State Park and Philpott Lake. We’re already planning to come back this summer with the kids! Both cabins will give us plenty of space, and we look forward to fully utilizing the pool. This is an excellent rental for families or groups looking to enjoy nature with the comforts of home.

We can’t thank you enough for our wonderful stay! This was our last mini trip as a family of three and it was a gift to my son for becoming a big brother. He loves cabins and asked to stay in a real one. This place was absolutely gorgeous! Very clean and had everything we needed and more. Everything was open and not crowded at all. The Wi-Fi worked great too! We can’t wait to come back with both boys and enjoy some fishing! This cabin is nice for a small family and definitely a romantic getaway for two. Its primitive and rustic look is perfectly balanced with modern day luxury. We felt right at home. Thank you again and this place now holds a very special place in our hearts! My 4 yo said it’s his favorite we’ve stayed in!

A gorgeous cabin that was away from the world so you can just relax. Lots of good mom and pop restaurants within 20 minutes of the cabin that were amazing just like Rebecca advertised. We will be booking here again. We had an amazing time.

Has everything you need. Great views and the locals are extremely friendly! The home itself was very comfortable for a relaxing stay. Our internet was out due to winter storms. But the host did everything he could to get it working, which we very much appreciate. The views are absolutely wonderful and the hot tub is such a bonus! If you come here, take the time to visit the Chateau Morrisette Restaurant. There is no relation to this Airbnb, but has the best food and serve I’ve ever experienced. Love that this house is not too far from everything in the area, but far enough that you’ll barely hear any cars or neighbors. Another great place is the Crossroads Cafe just a 5 minute drive. Thanks for our stay!

A gorgeous, cute little cabin on a beautiful creek. We loved the view and had a lovely time. The bed was super comfortable and the hot tub was fun and relaxing. Made for an amazing weekend for me and my husband. The restaurant recommendations were perfect. We had fabulous meals at The Palisades and Harvest at Mountain Lake. Would love to come back and stay at the four fillies lodge again in the future

Ashera and Luke were about the best hosts and now friends you could ask for. Their beautiful, well built rustic cabin was cozy with all the amenities we needed. The property is breathtaking, with a space for every need or want. We stayed for a respite from home in WNC and overwhelming emotions and energy from Helene, and our hosts were more supportive than we ever could have asked for. We will definitely be making this a regular getaway and sanctuary. Absolutely loved the stay and our hosts.

We had such a peaceful and enjoyable stay at the Rock Ridge Ranch. The host was amazingly accomadating and the cabin was a slice of Heaven. The space was cozy and close to restaurants and grocery stores. Look forward to returning in the future.

Linda was great and very responsive, and the place is nice. Very clean. Good location to jump off to other places. It was as advertised and we enjoyed it very much!

This was a cute little place to stay. The host offered very good instructions to find it. The gravel road was fine to drive on, no issues. The location is very private. A little disappointed with the hot tub, but that was on us. When we booked it, we didn't notice it was a little inflatable hot tub. Also - there is no direct access from the house to the hot tub. One of us did not bring sandals and it was a mistake not to since you have to walk on rocks to get back to the house. A heads up for future guests - there is a cleaning fee, but all it seems to cover is vaccum and laundry. You have to do everything else, such as remove your trash, sanitize hot tub, and wash your dishes (no dishwasher). Host provided locations for local dumpsters. Host provided lots of info and was very respectful and responsive.

This is a great spot up in the mountains to get away from everything. It was a bit of a drive to get back to civilization, but I loved the views and the peace and quiet. I especially loved that the place is pet friendly. My husband and I are already talking about going again in the near future

My wife and I were passing through on business and stayed two nights here. It was everything we hoped for with privacy, peace and quiet, and spectacular views. The home was very quaint and cozy and we felt right at home! Only negative was the driveway was very steep as described, but with a truck or all wheel drive vehicle it was no problem, just don't get in a hurry! We had a great time and would definitely consider staying here again!

This is the 5th time I've stayed at this cabin, and I sincerely LOVE this place!!! My sister and I got to enjoy an inverse snow-globe experience on our stay...although I wouldn't advise anyone without really good 4WD to attempt it in the winter, it was an absolutely dream stay for my birthday!!!! Hosts were on point with everything as usual, and I can't thank them more for maintaining such a wonderful little oasis!!!

My husband and I booked the Bear Den as a peaceful get away and it was everything we could’ve hoped for! We grew up in the Blue Ridge mountains, so it was amazing being a ten minute drive from the Parkway! The cabin was absolutely beautiful and so cozy. Michele was such an amazing and responsive host! We felt right at home! We got to explore a lot of Fancy Gap and Galax. There were so many beautiful views and neat places to visit, and lots of tasty food! We will definitely be back!

Perfect place to stop overnight on our trip to North Carolina - 4.5 year old kiddo and 4 dogs loved the space! Fenced area was huge! Very let friendly! The house was clean and overall our stay was short, but wonderful! We already cant wait to make a trip back for a few days next time.

It’s no wonder Patty & Tom have such stellar reviews! Their cabin is one of the best Airbnb’s we have stayed in! Close to all Floyd has to offer, everything was meticulously thought of: fully stocked kitchen, extra blankets, water & snacks, and little touches -as a woman I really appreciated. I worked from the cabin the entire week, as the desk was the perfect spot to hold meetings and enjoy the view of the snow falling as well as the fireplace in the living room. Our bedroom was cozy, the period furniture all about the cabin adding a sense of whimsy. Each evening we cooked in the spacious, well equipped kitchen and enjoyed our meals at the dining room table. Best of all, Patty and Tom are gracious, kind, and the kind of hosts that Airbnb should strive for. We look forward to visiting Patty, Tom, and the Cabin again!

Had an excellent stay at Fabis place! It was spacious, great location and Fabi was very communicative and an excellent host! Definitely reccomend!

Absolutely beautiful cabin and land. If you are looking for a very private get-a-way cabin, look no further. We did have power issues due to a winter storm, but Katherine was extremely responsive and helpful in working with us through everything. We will definitely be booking this in the future!

Absolutely beautiful property had a total of 6 guest and was still very spacious. Very secluded however make sure all passwords and codes are written and codes are written down ahead of time due to lack of service.

The place is great and well stocked. I thought kitchen and dining area were small. We like to cook there and not go out. Otherwise the cabin was very comfortable and much thought was given to the layout. We didn’t use the fire pit as we could find no wood. Maybe I was supposed to supply my own? Unfortunately the road being paved leaves your car extremely dirty and you have to wash off your back window each time you drive in and out. That isn’t something that can be helped but perhaps a heads up would help guests. The lock needs a new battery and took over 15 minutes to get into initially which was difficult late at night. Overall great spot for a short stay, close to VA Tech

We enjoyed our stay at Anna’s place. A beautiful setting out in the country. Included all you needed. A short drive to downtown Blacksburg, home of Virginia Tech and many restaurants and shops.

I didn't have any problems with my stay and there were no problems with anything. He was very polite and communicative. We weren't rushed out when it was checked out or anything. I would definitely stay here again
