Great stay tucked in Alpine Lake. Very quiet with plenty to do within 30 minutes. I love staying in Alpine, this was my first time staying at this home and I have no complaints!

Beautiful place! Went on a girls trip and it fit exactly what we needed, cozy, nice views and relaxing. Only things I feel the need to make people aware of are that the hot tub is off the side of the house and you have to walk over gravel to get to it so bring flip flops, and that there are a TON of bugs in the house, we had ladybugs and stink bugs all over, fine for us but if it’s not something you can handle then bring traps. Overall amazing trip!

Mark was friendly. The cabin was very clean all around. It is tucked in the woods with good privacy and a relaxing sound of the creek in the back. The location was perfectly in center of many amazing hiking places. My family enjoyed it everyday and we highly recommend it.

My spouse and I, along with our lab/beagle mix, stayed here between Christmas and New Years. The cabin was great! Photos don't do it justice. You can hear the creek from the back porch, which is fully enclosed and was perfect for our dog. The hot tub was clean and worked perfectly. The kitchen area had everything we needed to cook. The bedroom and bathroom were spotless and comfortable, with clean linens and towels. The area around the cabin is great for walking--just beware of ticks if it's warm out. It was unseasonably warm, so we had to pick several off our dog after taking him for walks. We saw plenty of wild life during our stay, and the area is peaceful and calm. But you're not too far from Cheat Lake either, which has stores if you forget anything, and great pizza if you don't want to cook. We ended up leaving a day early because we didn't want to get stuck in a snow/ice storm, but that's a risk you take in the mountains in winter. Overall we highly recommend!

This cabin in nestled in the back woods but it was perfect for our family. our son loved the hot tub and the stream in the back yard. the cabin was extremely clean. its a great weekend getaway stay.

This is a great cabin. Relax in the ample outdoor space and listen to the creek. Plenty of space. Modern construction gives security and comfort with the essence of a rustic retreat.

House was really awesome and in a beautiful location. Hot tub, billiards, and fire pit were all really fun to use! We got lucky with the temperatures being perfect but on a really hot weekend the upstairs could get pretty hot without AC, a mini split pack would probably work really well. Overall though, we had a great time and it was a restful fun weekend away!

This was my first time using Airbnb and thankfully Mark and his cabin made it an amazing experience! Leading up to the trip Mark was quick to respond to any questions that I had and gave clear directions to the cabin. The cabin itself was beautiful and the views were amazing. I highly recommend Mark and his cabin to anyone looking for a quick getaway not too far from the highway.

Great place clean and peaceful

Beautiful cabin in out of the way location surrounded by lovely yard and sweet neighborhood. Excellent hiking nearby for 3 days. The cabin was outstanding - every convenience was provided at a high standard. The hosts were immediately responsive when we had an issue, and provided helpful pre-trip advice. Thoroughly recommend for as a getaway from a busy life to unplug and have quality family time.

We were looking for a restful and relaxing place for spring break. Everything at the resort was closed except for the pool and the gym and hiking. That was perfect. The pool and the gym were so nice! The cabin literally was a 5 minute walk. We enjoyed sitting on the deck with propane fire table and comfortable deck furniture. The house was very clean and comfortable. The host was friendly and helpful. We loved it!

The wood paneling, doors and A-frame are beautiful features of the house. The wood-burning stove in the living room was ideal for a cozy winter stay. The kitchen was stocked with all kinds of amenities- coffee drip machine, Keurig, air-fryer, spices, etc.. The sheets were perfect-100% cotton- as were the towels, and they have a memory foam mattress. I hadn’t been sleeping that well before I arrived, and my first night there I think I slept like nine hours. The decks are beautiful, with the front deck stocked with plenty of wood. Jake was always responsive and kind. We played guitar there, cooked, sang and caught up on much needed sleep. The cost was very reasonable. I would definitely go back in a heartbeat!

We stayed for a weekend getaway and could not have been happier with the location! Super clean and the perfect space for a small group.

We loved the cabin- it was very quiet and peaceful. The entire inside was extremely tidy and well stocked- the kitchen had everything we needed to make a thanksgiving dinner- the bathroom was updated and modern- the rental has great amenities (washer/dryer, dishwasher, access to indoor pool, wood stove, etc) and Ida was very helpful and responsive to all of your texts- if you are looking for a place to get away from the hustle and bustle for a few days this is it! So many thoughtful touches made us feel right at home and we really had a great time relaxing with our family over the holiday- would definitely stay here again

it's a cute cozy cottage on the side of a cliff. Honestly I loved it! it was exactly what I was looking for and I can't wait to be able to take off more time and come back!

We just got back from another great anniversary trip with our 2 Vizslas. Bob shared his dry red wine this year. We now have had both sweet and dry! He came to check on us during to the cold spell and we assured him that the wood burner was keeping us warm. The dogs played outside, we played board games that were provided and we enjoyed cooking with the stove. It was our annual February get away that we take each year to Just have a few days to just enjoy nature and recharge. Thanks again Bob! See you next year.

My staff and I stayed at Camp Ara for the fourth semester in a row now and have a had an absolute pleasure each time. Nan is a great host with a great property and communicated with us frequently throughout the duration of our stay.

Beautiful cozy cabin. The perfect home away from home. Loved the coffee/gift shop when you first come in. I loved it was pet friendly as I brought my dog.

Beautiful place to stay. It was great getting to have a real fireplace. Traffic was kinda loud but it didn't bother us. We had a great fall weekend. We enjoyed sitting outside by the fire and later watched scary movies for Halloween on TV.

Cabin was perfect and just what we needed for our weekend away. Kids loved the pool and roasting hot dogs and making s'mores at the fire pit. Pool and cabin were clean and had everything we needed. Guests in nearby cabins were friendly as well as the staff at the coffee shop on site. The cabin is set right off a main road so it could be a little noisy sitting by the pool when a big truck passed by but we had no problems with noise in our cabin and when sleeping like another review mentioned.

This cabin is super cute and quaint. It was the perfect spot for my two friends and I to come back to after spending the weekend in Laurel Caverns and Ohiopyle State Park. Cabin 1 is pretty small but we knew that, and didn’t need much else! It is next to a main road and if you are a light sleeper, the cars/trucks driving by might be bothersome but it didn’t bother us at all. There is a fire pit and chairs, also a picnic table right outside the door. The pullout couch isn’t your average pullout couch and in my opinion would be difficult to fit two people on, but luckily only one person slept on it was not a problem for us at all! I would definitely go back and stay here anytime I am in the area!
