We used the place mainly as our home base for snowboarding in Rusutsu and Niseko, so I can’t speak about the other activities nearby. The drive was about 35minutes to Rusutsu and 55 minutes to Niseko. We didn’t have problem with the roads even though there’s snow. The place has a washer and although there’s no dryer, our clothes (mainly base layers and socks) were able to dry without problem just by hanging them. Seicomart and 7 Eleven is also just a short drive away if you need anything. We usually leave early morning and come back late at night so I can’t say anything about the neighborhood itself. Heating is a combination of oil heater and electric heater, so there’s a gas smell but it didn’t bother us. Some sensitive people might get bothered by it but our group are not a bourgeois group. Finally, Rika is an accommodating person and is very fluent in English, communication is not a problem.

非常开心本次暂住到博美先生家里， 我们是从函馆前往登别的行程，在博美先生家住了一晚。 在入住前，博美先生积极跟我们沟通入住的行程，时间，并且提出主动来车站接我们，还有线路攻略。 入住当天到达车站已经是20点40多分了，博美先生虽然自己有事情，但是还是准时的来车站接待了我们，晚上热情的跟我们聊天，介绍一些日本的风俗文化。博美先生的英语沟通十分顺畅，他也介绍说自己在做民宿前，有过3个中国留学生寄宿过1年多。 睡觉前跟我们确认了第二天的行程，并且在早上八点多送我们前往了车站，离开时非常热情的告别。 这次入住体验非常愉快，房间十分整洁干净，就连厨房和厕所都是非常干净。而且房间进门就有淡淡的香氛和熏香，是薰衣草味道的，非常舒适。暖气也是提前打开，房间十分温暖。晚上睡觉时，周围环境非常安静，不吵闹。 非常感谢，博美一家的接待，我们也期待下次再次入住。

It’s a nice cabin, everything is just as it says on the website. Location is good for both Hakodate and Lake Onuma. We came in winter so didn’t use the outdoor area but it seems like there is BBQ area, pizza oven and a selection of games for kids. I liked that there was as much wood for the fire as we needed (some places scam you for the wood). The owner was helpful and friendly. One small issue is the WiFi package - it is not limitless WiFi (looks like 50GB per month) and as we came near the end of the month, it ran out… I guess it was a good chance to get kids off screens.

The hosts are very kind and the home is cozy and clean. They offered to take us from the train station to the accommodation and back to the ferry terminal the next day. We checked-in early in the morning and then they dropped us by car at the first attraction we wanted to visit. They put everything in place for the guests to feel right at home and they are involved in what they do. If we go back to Hakodate, we will definitely stay at their place again. And, who knows, maybe one day we will meet them in France. This was our best Airbnb experience so far 😊😊😍

Probably the best Airbnb I have been in so far! The rooms are so liveable and there are more than enough space for socialising (have both living room and dining area) and resting. Though max occupancy is 8, I’d say this place is perfect for maybe 4 or 5 pax? The beds are very comfortable, double blanket are provided, and the rooms are very spacious. The location is pretty convenient to go to both Hakodate Station and Hakodate Bay Area. Wouldn’t mind staying here again if I have the chance to come back to Hakodate

Great host and accommodation! The check-in was very flexible, the communication fast and kind. We were welcomed by a pre-heated house and bath. The house is very cozy with its all-wooden interior. We stayed in a group of four and it was very spacious, but you will also get along well with up to seven people. There is a floor heating on the ground floor. Four beds are equipped with heat blankets, the other three have an AC unit above them, so you won’t be cold in either of them in the winter time. We did not use the kitchen, but it seemed like all the necessary equipment was available. Though the house is close to the Hokkaido Expressway, we did not hear anything when the windows where closed, and only some car sounds when they were open.
