A very peaceful and quiet retreat in a lovely part of the North East. It was so quiet and relaxing spending time in the hot tub and inside the cottage. Although this is no fault of Rachael's and/or the cottage please be wary that if you're over 6 foot you will be ducking a lot! I banged my head twice coming out of the bathroom when going during the night and still half asleep (again, this is nothing against the host or the location - just a pre-warning!)

What a fantastic stay from beginning to end. Hayley was a fantastic host and very responsive. The Nook looks beautiful in the photographs but they really don’t do it justice. The Nook provides a beautiful space to relax and enjoy. The hot tub, the log burner, the beautiful open plan layout, the very comfortable bed and beautiful outlook make for an extra special stay. The town is a short walk away with lovely quaint shops and little cafes and restaurants. If we could we would move in permanently. Thank you for an amazing stay.

We had an amazing stay here. The property was lovely, spacious, clean, in an ideal location and the hot tub was a great perk. Marie and Steve were easy to communicate with, super hospitable /kind and in general made our stay enjoyable and stress free! Would highly recommend.

Beautiful cottage with everything you need for a cosy getaway from the world break. Doorstep dog walks a plenty. We used the cottage as a base to explore various parts of the Lake District, we loved coming back to the hot tub and the log burner.

Our 5th stay with Sue and Phil and we will be. back next year - that should say it all! We love the Old Piggery, it's like a second home in our favourite place. Always perfectly clean and well kitted out. The most beautiful location and we never want to leave! Sue and Phil are fabulous and always have a new recommendation of a day out, walk or somewhere to eat - even after 5 years!

I absolutely loved our stay at Barnacre Alpacas, we stayed in the rose cottage, it was very clean and the hot tub was a bonus. We enjoyed the alpaca walk and talk, that was something I’ll never forget! On arrival the cottage was dressed up for a birthday surprise and champagne and chocolates was left for us. Thank you to Paul and Debbie, we will be back!

Had an absolutely amazing time here! 5 of us squished in nicely for the weekend and had an amazing time. We got the hot tub working and it was nice to be able to having something to do and watch whilst chilling, did find it a little tricky to maintain the temperature throughout the day. We cooked loads and there were loads of pans, pots, cutlery and everything else we needed to cook. Only thing that was tricky was the smoke alarm kept going off despite the doors and windows all being open. Was solved by wafting a tea towel at it but was still a little annoying. The place feels really spacious despite being quite small because of the skylights and windows so that was amazing. The hosts were wonderful and great at replying so we honestly couldnt really fault the place and are hoping to come back again for another little weekend away!!!

Amazing from start to finish. Philippa is the perfect host - we stayed with our children and forgot our stroller 🙈 she kindly left us one to use during her stay. The cottage was lovely and clean, everything there you needed! Comfy bed and very spacious! Views were stunning - a real treat waking up to the Northumberland countryside.

Lovely cottage that had everything we neede! in beautiful surroundings. Debi and Mike were really great hosts who communicated well, as well as going the extra mile by putting birthday decorations up for my husband's birthday! We'll definitely be back!

Had a lovely 2 nights in Diane’s cottage. Had everything we needed (included some welcome sun in March)! The fire was bliss - the dog particularly loved this! We had lovely meals, drinks and walks around the harbour area - we’d love to come back! Thank you Diane 😇

We had such a wonderful time here. The cottage is great with fantastic views. Our dog loved the garden which was very secure, the cottage was exactly as described with good quality furnishings and appliances etc. Kate was very friendly and happy to help. Lots of information provided on local walks etc., there are walks you can do from the cottage or a short drive will open many more options. We can’t wait to return for another peaceful, relaxing break!

A great place to stay for exploring Warkworth and the surrounding area. Loads of space and a well-equipped kitchen if you're self-catering. Would recommend!

Lovely cottage in ideal location with walking distance to the beach. Very clean and tastefully decorated. Kitchen was very well equipped. Extremely comfortable bed so that was a bonus. Nick is a great host and responds quickly. I will definitely be back when I'm next on the area.

This is a beautiful cottage with everything you need for a relaxing stay. It’s in a great location to explore Northumberland but very quiet & private. We self catered but there were plenty of places to eat out in walking distance if you want. We self catered and every piece of equipment you need is in the kitchen, including an air fryer. Our only disappointment was not getting to use the log burner as it wasn’t cold enough !!

What can I say... Absolutely fantastic place. You couldn't ask for anything more. Really peaceful location with fantastic views of the hills etc. We had a strange issue but this was sorted out very swiftly by Malcolm 👍 We will definitely be looking to book again and have another peaceful time just watching the world go by. We had a wonderful stay in this lovely cottage. We were very comfortable and it was brilliantly located.

We loved our stay at The Vault! It was cosy, clean, and had everything we needed. Fantastic location too being only a 10 minute walk in to the centre of town. Alex was very responsive too if I had any questions! Would definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting Hexham/the surrounding areas :)

We had a fantastic weekend away. The house looks exactly like its photos and was extremely clean. Ross and Gillian were very friendly and had preemptively turned on the heating and had goodies for us to enjoy upon our arrival which was very appreciated. Tea, coffee, sugar and milk were provided which was also appreciated. The views from the windows were stunning and we even had perfect sunsets each night. The small patio was perfect to sit outside and enjoy the serenity and a glass of wine. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Fantastic holiday in a stunning location. Eildon was super-helpful and arriving to hone-baked cakes after a long trip was wonderful. The cottage was perfect for us and it is tucked into the most beautiful valley with stunning walks from the door. In addition, there are loads of beautiful beaches and castles etc all within easy reach by car. Thank you so much!

Very private and peaceful and yet just a short walk into town. We found the cottage cosy and comfortable with everything we needed. Recommend the Leo Thai for an evening meal. We love this area and were lucky with the weather. The cottage was ideal for a short break and just what we wanted.
