I loved staying at this listing. If I’m ever back in Iceland, I will be staying here without a doubt. The place was very clean and matched the description and pictures. Fridleifur was very helpful, and gave us clear instructions on how to check in. There is a mall and a grocery store, just a short walk away. If you’re planning on taking public transport, the bus that takes you to the city is a 3 minutes walk away. And for excursions, it’s a 24 minute walk to Terminal 1. Several people have mentioned the lack of a microwave but we were able to cook and reheat our food in the oven just fine. We did have trouble with the stove- although Fridleifur tried his best to help us- we just couldn’t figure it out, but if you’re used to European induction stoves you’ll most likely be fine. Icelandic tap water is amazing, so just bring a reusable water bottle, and there’s no need to buy wall plug adapters as there are 2 or 3 in the Airbnb. Thank you, Fridleifur! Takk fyrir :)

The place was very neat and exactly what is shown in the picture. Easy and smooth check in . We stayed for 5 days and it felt like home, quiet , warm and respected place. From the balcony, we were welcome to see Aurora for our first night. For burgers lover, there’s a joint burger nearby ( Hamborgara bullan) which is really good (5⭐️). The city center can be reached about 7-11 minutes by driving. Theres always spot for parking and it’s free. Highly recommended. Definitely will come back and stay longer. My family and I are very thankful for our stay.

We had a wonderful time in this cozy apartment. It was a nice location to be outside the city but have easy access to main roads and shops. We chose this place as it was walking distance to our friends' house. Heba's decor is very pleasing and the kitchen had everything we needed. The space is well designed for relaxation and practicality. It was easy to park our rental car in the driveway.

I had the most amazing stay at Linda’s place !!! The view is breathtaking in million dollar apartments, close to everything ( like a 1 min walk ) the place is absolutely stunning next time I come I’ll only stay at Linda’s 🥰

I can't say enough good things about the studio: spotlessly clean, comfy bed, well-stocked kitchen, huge shower, plenty of storage, and a big TV. It's set back from the street and very quiet. The neighborhood is very safe and I was comfortable walking alone. It was the perfect base for exploring Iceland. Being so central, you can walk to the main attractions easily. It's 5 minutes max to Bus Stop #9 for tours/Flybus and one block to Laugavegur with great restaurants and shops. It could not be better situated for sightseeing. While I didn't meet Roald, I was in constant contact with Sigurthor before and during my trip. He was incredibly patient, responded to all my questions within minutes, and provided great recs. He was unfailingly kind and an absolute delight of a human being. It felt more like staying at a friend's house instead of an Airbnb. I highly recommend the Cozy Studio. Snorri and Svava’s Airbnb was so cozy, clean, and in a great location near the city and next to the water. They were so responsive and friendly! I would stay again!

This was the perfect distance from the bus stop to take us into the city. Because it was right outside of the main city center, it was quiet and peaceful. The area had everything we needed and it felt safe. Just a heads up to other visitors the water has a sulfurous taste and smell. This is a wonderful place to stay and we would definitely book this again!

Lovely home! Even though there is no cleaning fee and guests clean up after themselves, the house was spotless, with fresh bed linens and a well-maintained space. It has everything you need, making it feel more like a home rather than a hotel or a typical Airbnb. We truly appreciated the warm and inviting atmosphere. We absolutely loved staying here and would definitely stay again if we come back to Iceland! The apartment is adorable and the hosts were so kind to leave a helpful binder of information and don’t treats out for us. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home and the place was decorated so cute and homey.

Fantastic place! my wife and 16 year old daughter found this apartment to be incredibly clean, beautiful and central to everything you want in downtown Reykjavik. This was our 2nd time in Reykjavik and we loved this airbnb apartment. The apartment is very spacious with a huge kitchen for having drinks, listening to music or enjoying breakfast. We plan on coming back to Iceland and will stay here again. It has excellent reviews which it deserves.

Eyrún place was perfect for our trip! It was located so well, about a 30-45 mins drive from the airport, 15-20 mins drive to Reykjavik, and close enough to drive the Golden Circle in a day. It is also close to many convenience stores and a Costco. The place was beautifully decorated and clean. Check-in/out & parking was easy. Eyrún was very responsive and nice Overall a great stay!

Wir könnten nicht glücklicher sein. Es war für uns der letzte Stopp unserer Winterreise und die Gemütlichkeit der Unterkunft hätte uns fast nicht mehr nach Hause fliegen lassen. Die Wohnung ist noch schöner als auf den Fotos und das einfache Leben durch die unmengen an Gewürzen, Tees, Kaffee hat das entspannte Erlebnis abgerundet. Man sollte keine Schwierigkeiten mit (wenn auch kurzen) steilen Treppen haben. Für uns eine ganz klare 10/10! Wir kommen gerne wieder, sollten wir nochmal nach Island reisen. Vielen Lieben Dank für Alles und die tolle Kommunikation!

Hannes place was perfectly situated for us. It was easy to get to all our destinations, we had a rental car, and it was quiet and peaceful after our day’s adventures each day. Hannes was great with communication and had great suggestions on restaurants and attractions. The unit was super clean and had everything we needed for our week. We even got to see the Northern Lights right above the unit on our last night there! Amazing! Hopefully we will get a chance to return to Iceland and we would definitely stay here again. Thank you.

We stayed at Þórdís’s for our honeymoon and it was the perfect home base to explore Reykjavik! Close to walk the whole downtown, but tucked away enough that you felt like a local. The place is just around the corner from one of the bus stops that all the popular tour groups pick up at as well as the bus to the flybus/airport. I highly recommend the local public pool by her place (about 3 blocks away) it was the perfect way to unwind after a long day of sightseeing. We cant stop talking about our trip. Thank you Þórdís!

This was a great place to stay during our time in Reykjavik. It’s very easy to get to everything the city has to offer, but it is far enough away from the city center to be a peaceful quiet place to stay. We had everything we needed and more here. I’m so glad we were able to stay here, and would highly recommend it!

We had a fantastic stay at Orri’s place. It is in a terrific walkable part of town with lots to do. Orri was super responsive and accommodating host. Would highly recommend this apartment and hope to return!

We had a wonderful stay at Bridget's home. We utilized the transportation to and from airport, that Grace provided and she was the highlight of the trip showing us great spots and a tour around before dropping us off and even on the way back to airport stopped and let us go into the Viking museum. We even extended our stay and they still drove us to airport and we appreciate their flexibility. The apartment was in the heart of town with great water pressure and plenty of hot water and extremely clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again if in Iceland.

This was our favorite place we stayed while in Iceland. The most picturesque setting, quiet, and a great location. We looked at hotels and then found this - so glad we stayed here instead. The horse farm is beautiful and they clearly have a very professional operation, we were super impressed with the facilities, and loved the horses, dogs and farm cat. Someone was there to greet us and show us around, which was helpful. We liked being just a few minutes from Hella, where there was a market and vinboudin (ABC store), as well as a few restaurants and coffee. We explored as far as Vik and back, and that whole area was our favorite part of the trip. We spent 2 nights but could have spent another. Just a fantastic spot! The pool, hot tub and sauna were one of the main reasons we booked this property and we used them every day. We thought they were incredible and the views from the hot tub were just gorgeous. Do not hesitate to book!

Really enjoyed my stay at Halldór's apartment - very cosy and well decorated. 20 minute walk to anywhere in downtown Rekyjavik, and an even shorter walk to the coast. Halldór made himself available for check-in, and was helpful thereafter. Bonus points for plenty parking spaces being available on street. Would recommend!

Great stay! Wish the weather wasnt so cloudy during our visit, we never did see the aurora outside our bedroom window. Maybe next time! Fun to watch the horses playing at the house across from the airbnb. And great location for food , Selfoss is very reachable, good center location for driving around to see Icelandic sightseeing
