This Airbnb exceeded all expectations, offering everything we could possibly need and more. The space was impeccably clean, well-appointed, and stocked with thoughtful touches that made our stay incredibly comfortable. The location was absolutely stunning, nestled in a peaceful and scenic area that provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation. From the cozy amenities to the host's exceptional attention to detail, this place truly felt like a home away from home. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable getaway!

Cottage in Shapleigh a.k.a. CampTallPines exceeded our expectations. I was looking for a nice place as a mid-point to meet my adult daughter who lives in northern ME. I invited my mother (86) to join us. The cottage was recently renovated, the kitchen was perfect with all new appliances/gadgets, the bathrooms were beautiful, the beds were very comfortable and furnished with duvets covers and overall the cottage was homey with a beautiful mix of old and new. As for the outside, Christina and Liz have created a magical place for kids, young and old, to enjoy. We enjoyed a 55 degree day and walked to the lake, visited a maple farm, sat by the fire pit with wine, watched March Madness, and just enjoyed quality time together. It was perfect!

What a wonderful weekend stay! We arrived to the house with it fully prepped for us - heat already on (it was a cold weekend), bathroom set up, towels present, etc. We felt immediately comfortable. It was about a ~15-20 minute drive to any restaurant/main area. The outdoor hot tub was definitely the highlight (also set up for us prior). Watching the snow fall while comfortably sitting in the hot water/jets was fantastic. Kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, oil, spices, etc. - everything helpful for home cooking. Alexa was friendly, responsive, and flexible with us. It’s clear she’s experienced with hosting and making our stay a seamless experience. I could not recommend her home more (and would definitely go back in the fall for some quality beach time!).

Nice and cozy cabin! Super responsive host with great touches to the cabin. Didn't get to enjoy the hot tub because it took too much time to get it fully heated and unfortunately weren't at the cabin for several hours leading up to when we wanted to use it but if you have the time to tend to it, I'm sure it's lovely. Fully stocked kitchen which was great for cooking a group meal.

Great location and cozy home with great ambiance, decor, and all of the necessities. The spiral staircase and upstairs rooms felt much smaller in person but no major issues! If you're bringing dog(s) that may have noise sensitivity like ours sometimes do - note that the walls to nextdoor Airbnb are quite thin. The dogs also had difficulty on the stairs - one learned to go up and down by training and the other one had to be carried up and down 😂 Hosts were great!

This was the perfect spot for our trip up to NH, and little did I know it would turn into our engagement trip! Susan was incredibly helpful, providing clear instructions and responding to questions promptly. We’ll definitely be back! The yard was secure and ideal for our 7-month-old puppy to play in. We also enjoyed taking walks around the area! Susan went above and beyond by leaving a bottle of wine in the fridge, turning on the lights for us, and ensuring the cabin was spotless. It was truly the perfect place for our stay!

Great view and cabin was actually clean. Peaceful week on the lake. The area was fun. Found the alpaca farm open in the weekend close by and got to feed them. Picked the best apples we've ever had at Libbys U Pik not far from cabin. Shopped at the Limerick market and found Shaines of Maine icecream. Tried Black Rasberry and Grapenut yummy on both. They had lots of other specialty items. Fried chicken was great too. Also shopped close by at the Ye Old Sale Shop and found some wonderful vintage treasures. Had a great time at the cabin and surrounding area. Would totally come back this summer to get on the lake in the kayaks when its warmer and have another great week. The porch is the ultimate lake porch. The cats and ourselves thoroughly enjoyed the lake view all week Thank you for a wonderful vacation.

Amazing cabin, private but close to skiing, restaurants and activities! Marce and Josh’s cabin was perfect for an extended stay in the valley. The hosts are very friendly and hospitable and ensured we had a great stay. Appreciated the well stocked kitchen, the fire pit and how pet friendly the spot is. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Our stay was amazing! The backyard was orivate and beautiful. So clean and cozy inside as well! Traditions restaurant was nearby and delicious with fresh ingredients! We can not wait to book again.

Great location, spotless clean , comfortable. Most of all it is the beautiful setting in the woods close to lake. Great for adults and families. Highly recommended.

Thank you very much Joan for a nice week for me and the kids. It was just what the doctor ordered, and a good change of scene where we could put away the devices and pick up a board game and relax! The weather did not quite cooperate as it was extremely cold and windy, with a heavy snowstorm to start the week. Luckily Joan was very communicative and flexible around the storm and ensured we were able to get up there safe and sound to hunker down as the snow fell down. The kids (13 & 10) and I got in a good routine of cross country skiing and exploring the lake together, playing some board games, and enjoying the jacuzzi! We ended up housebound for a good chunk of the trip so it was nice to have such a cozy place to have as our home base. Take care and hope to be back someday! Jeremy

This was the perfect place for us (2) to get away from the city for a long weekend. We were drawn to it by its private location amidst trees with a view of the river, the full kitchen, and its great value. Everything* was very clean, well decorated, and the amenities were comfortable. It was perfect for our party of 2, and the space is efficiently utilized, though cramped in a couple places. The screened-in game shed was one of our favorite spots to spend time. We would sit out there in the camping chairs, talk and listen to music, and breathe in the fresh air while watching the river. Though not formally part of the amenites, the farm at the beginning of the dirt road has cows, goats, ducks, etc. and that brought us a lot of joy to pass by them when coming/going. We checked out feeling very relaxed, peaceful, and happy. *I had read many other reviews mentioning dirty dishes, so I wasn’t too surprised when we found some.

If you are looking for an idyllic lake house experience, this is it! We could have spent our entire trip just sitting on the porches—upstairs, downstairs, one screened-in porch, and the lovely dock. We used the kayaks and the paddle boat multiple times. The house was perfect for us because we are a close family of three, but if you need privacy from other guests, this wouldn’t be the ideal house as one bedroom opens into the other. The beds are soft and comfortable as is the sofa. Paula and Tim were extremely responsive and helpful. We would absolutely return to this house. It was difficult to leave the gorgeous leaves.

Alfa and Eric were great hosts. the cottage was adorable and lots to keep us busy even on our rainy night. We are looking forward to booking another ling weekend in warmer weather to enjoy the beautiful lake a bit more. Thank you so much for sharing your cottage with us.

Dianne’s place was just right for my small family of three! The place was clean and well kept and had all the amenities one could need and even more than we expected. There was some construction going on at the house next door, which was a bit disappointing, but just a reminder that the house is in a community and not to expect complete silence at all times. Dianne was very responsive and kind, and all in all we had a very lovely time.

Great stay at Alyson’s place. So nice to have access to the amenities at Eastman - we took the little ones sledding! Nice to have kids toys and books on hand too. House was perfect for what we needed and we’re thinking of coming back in the summer!

We rented one of the cabins at Lakehurst Cottages for a week in August. We were nervous because we were bringing up our boat and had a bad experience at another lake last year. Jim and Janet were so reassuring as to where we could keep the trailer and the location of a convenient boat launch. It all worked out great! Our cottage was a delightful 1 bedroom with sliders all around. There was everything we needed to cook meals. They have a fire pit with wood if you want to make a fire, or chairs to sit in by the water. Downtown Alton Bay was 4 miles away and we enjoyed walking around during an annual festival and craft fair. The town docks are plentiful and convenient if you have a boat. There is so much to do at Lake Winnipesauke and this cabin was in such a great location with great hosts - and guests!

Barbara's place is perfect for what we needed right in New Hampton. She was a very accommodating host, the place was perfectly clean and well apportioned. We loved it and will be back.
