We had a fun time at Chris’ lake house. It was very clean, quiet, and had all the amenities as described. Hot tub (with its private surround) was enjoyable during the winter temps. Ample kitchen supplies since there aren’t any restaurants around. Make sure to get groceries beforehand!

Me, my daughter and her family spent a couple nights at The Stargazer recently. We really enjoyed our time there. The house is charming and the grounds are beautiful. Though we were there in early spring and the temperatures were still mild, there were still great opportunities to get out and enjoy some fishing and disc golf. The hosts provided extra touches, such as a basket of snacks, a s'more kit and a jar of mini candy bars that my granddaughters loved. I was able to bring my dog, and there were bowls provided as well as towels for him if he couldn't resist getting in the beautiful creek. The location is a little remote, but there were plenty of fresh condiments in the fridge and cabinets in case something was left behind. The fact that it was a little remote helps make it tranquil. We hope to visit again when the weather is warmer and will also rent the tiny home there that can accommodate my son and his little family. Great stay!

Peaceful stay! Really nice hot tub + sauna and super comfortable bed! A great addition was the built in speaker you could play throughout the place. The place matches the pictures and the other reviews.

Went for a group trip with friends and were hoping to see snow - and we did! It was a beautiful area, although those of us who drove in at night had a harder time finding the location than those of us who drove during the day. It is a switchback entrance but once you find it, it is easy to spot, and there are plenty of spots to turn around should you miss the entrance. We stayed warm throughout our trip and enjoyed local hiking and visiting local stores. Ashe County Cheese was certainly a highlight for a lot of us. We didn't have any issues, though there was a slight hiccup after the snow, and host was very responsive and we got the matter resolved quickly. Liked it so much we might return with our family next time!

Rick and Pat’s house was amazing! We loved every second of it, from the large peaceful yard filled with deer, to the outside fire pit, comfy beds and super clean, lovely house! Loved our whole vacation and didn’t want to leave. Owners are very personable and communicative (quick to respond)We can’t wait to come back again to this amazing home! Cute little cottage! Loved being near the river and the porch swings were perfect to relax on. They had decorated the home for Easter and it was adorable!

Loved the peacefulness and relaxing atmosphere. Loved seeing the cows everyday. Clean and beds were comfortable.

Bakers cottage was so peaceful. It was nice sitting on porch listening g to the birds and the stream of water. We felt right at home. We left our iron and iron board and they made sure one was there. It was very clean. Tonya was so easy to work with. She made our stay enjoyable with a birthday treat. We will be back because it’s one of the best Airbnb we have stayed in.

We had a fire at our local home, and our family loves to have Christmas in the mountains. So with that we hunted up available for the family to be together for Christmas, and we found Dale's place. We all lived the creek out back we sat on the back pourch and visited.

Beautiful place! Felt right at home! The beds were so comfortable! Having their friendly pups around was a bonus! Tricia is a great host and very responsive to any questions we had! Definitely recommend! Happy we found this place!

The house was exactly as described. The host gave recommendations for the local fare. There was an issue with the smoke alarm but the host was very responsive and had someone there within the hour for a fix. Overall great experience.

Hands down our favorite Airbnb we've stayed at. Very peaceful and relaxing. Gorgeous view of the neighboring waterfall. The shower and tub are were amazing. Fully stocked kitchen and a great CD collection! A great place for a much-needed reset on life.

We had a delightful stay. The locale was very quiet and private, which we enjoyed. Know that it is fairly remote and that the road up to the cabin is not a public road and is somewhat steep. We were in a sedan, which navigated the road fine, but I would have been concerned about traction if there were heavy rain. You'll also want to stock up on food on your way toward the cabin. If you're looking for a peaceful and remote place that is comfy, this definitely would fit the bill. We really enjoyed the hiking trail on Buffalo Mountain nearby.

What a beautiful and peaceful space. We had such a wonderful weekend on the lake. The Boat House was just perfect for the 2 of us. The lake is just so lovely and the house was exactly as described. We felt so comfortable and right at home. We're already working on planning our next visit!

This was our second time staying there. The place is great. It’s nice and peaceful and we even had 8 deer in the backyard our last afternoon there. I highly recommend this stay.

Shelley's place was everything we were looking for, and then some! We used the space as a home base for the NASCAR races and wish we could have spent more time at Shelley's place and in the mountains hiking! We will definitely be back, with family!

Recomiendo 100% este lugar.

Can’t say enough about this place. It is absolutely perfect for a weekend stay and if you have 4 people it’s the absolute perfect size. Lots of different things were already provided including snacks and drinks and the house itself was beautiful. Would definitely recommend a stay here to anyone who is going to be in the area. I know that I’ll be back!
