The little miners cottage was an absolute delight to stay in… especially after seeing Sybella Court’s Restoration Australia on ABC following along with all the trials and tribulations to get it to being beautifully restored with so much character. The small lounge and bathroom extension works with the heritage building so well and the landscaping was delightful too! The “kitchen” facilities are tiny but for our overnight stay was enough. The fact that it is a dog friendly stay is an added benefit which we would love to be able to make use of once we get our new puppy.

It was a memorable stay! Wonderful seeing the wild kangaroos, and different species of birds eg. crimson rossella, Australian magpies, wild ducks, etc... The place was so peaceful. Ellen was so accomodating, helpful and hospitable( given us a taste of her homemade jams, & freshly picked plum fruits from her garden)

A great place to stay! Ellen was wonderfully welcoming and helpful, the house was incredibly comfortable, and Castlemaine itself was a delight to explore.

We loved our stay at Judi’s Bed and Breakfast. We had everything we needed plus more! Our 7 month old was very comfortable and also enjoyed the amazing spa. Food was delicious (freshly baked bread, cheese cake, banana bread and fruit galore) with an array of drinks (tea, coffee, juice, fresh milk, cold water and port!). The beds were comfortable and cooling perfect. My husband was obsessed with the little putting green and my son loved the scenery/animals.

A gorgeous retro farmhouse in a stunning location. Loved sitting on the deck listening to the birds and enjoying the view. Great hosts. Highly recommend.

Thank you both for such a gorgeous stay. The barn is equipped for everything we needed and it was warm and cozy. Truly wonderful! The outdoor gardens and the upstairs balcony certainly gave us the experience of being in the country. We all enjoyed it. Inca and Bernie had lots of fun, especially with Tillu and we loved having Tillu and the chickens to adore. Thank you again!

An amazing very well appointed cottage with every item you could need. For a small two person studio sized cottage it offered enough space both inside and out to chill. Amazing is the best way to describe it. Peaceful, comfortable and fresh & clean. I could only recommend this place highly, for a couple looking for a quiet retreat and peaceful couple of nights it was ideal. Heather was responsive and the whole process was easy. Well done Heather on a great set up!

Very nice accomodation if you like to be in a peaceful settings and you love horses. We went there with our two daughters and they loved feeding and brushing the horses. Sharona was extremely communicative, proactive and always answered any questions we had. A wonderful place for a country escape

We had a wonderful stay Thalia Homestead. It was a very peaceful retreat to head home to after busy days exploring the region. The views around the property were beautiful, we experienced both sunrises and sunsets. A true country escape.

We had an unforgettable stay at Noonanmeena, a stunning passive house set on 20 picturesque acres in Redesdale. The property is beautifully situated, backing onto the Coliban River, with easy access to Redesdale town center, just a short drive away. It's also conveniently located—only 25 minutes from Heathcote and 20 minutes from Lake Eppalock. The house itself is fantastic—spacious, comfortable, and perfect for families. Whether we were relaxing on the deck or taking a dip in the pool, watching the sunset was an absolute highlight. John was an exceptional host—welcoming, accommodating, and great to communicate with. Thank you for making our long weekend truly special—we can't wait to return!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mia Mia. The place was peaceful and comfortable, plenty of room for 4 adults and an infant. We particularly enjoyed walking around the property at sunrise to spot the kangaroos, bunnies, birds, and a fox! The house is in a great location, quick drive to local towns with plenty to do.

Incredible property with amazing views

We had an absolutely wonderful time in Kathy's cottage. She is an incredibly generous host, with her overflowing breakfast basket and antipasto platter and she was also so kind and attentive to the children allowing them to feed her animals and roam the garden. Guildford is a lovely little town with warm, friendly people and we felt so fortunate to have spent a few days based at Kathy's while exploring the region. Thanks Kathy!

We had a magical weekend away at Arda Cluggan with friends. The property is perfect, with acres of paddocks to explore and views for days. Our host Susan was also easy to communicate with, kind and responsive. I’ve already recommended the property to friends and family and we will definitely be booking again. Stayed with friends at this very comfortable home in the township of Maldon, a haven for lovely architecture and history, as well as the quirky. Excellent places to eat, although we loved equally to say home for meals at Steven's little cottage too. Everything was there that we needed to cook up a storm of food and fun in the kitchen and at the bbq with friends. The beds were so cozy, comfy, the rooms themselves delightful with plenty of storage for an extended stay. The dining room and sitting room were also homely comfy with a fascinating and enjoyable collection of ornaments to enjoy and wonder about their histories. At night the skies are dark, nice for a bit of astro-photographical practice and in the morning, birds galore. Lots to see and do around Maldon, but you will need a car for many of these, including the wonderful Castlemaine only 15 minutes drive away.
