A real gem of a spot, Sarah is a superb host, adding in little details that make your stay that much more comfortable. Absolutely will book here again. Everything you need to be totally self-sufficient, so convenient to all amenities. Can’t recommend highly enough!

Ian and Ailsa were so kind and took initiative to help us when needed. They respected our space and they were very quiet. Ian and Ailsa were so warm-hearted toward us. They made us feel welcome but most importantly safe by meeting us at check-in to introduce themselves. Our little family appreciates the yummy snacks, lovely bedding and coziness Ian and Ailsa had to offer! Highly recommend the stay everyone! 🥰

Wonderful hosts and very nice place! We were just in town for one night and this was the perfect place to relax and unwind. Hosts were very accommodating and friendly! Would definitely stay again!

Christine's place was ideal for us as we had family down the road. Very quiet, everything provided, loved the cereals and snack treats. Access to a lovely backyard with outdoor seating. Very clean and tidy with lovely linen. The separate lounge was a real bonus. Unusual entry through the garage, but that was very easy. Christine was excellent to communicate with and all instructions and advice were clear and easy to follow . Loved our 3 nights there and will stay again. Thanks Christine

i've stayed at Brendon and Sali's places a few times now and we've become good friends. They will always be my first choice for accomodation when I come back to Auckland. The Cottage is well-located to take advantage of everything The Bays have to offer.

Such a great location. Easy to find. Quiet, which I loved. Prefect place for our family of 4. Just enough space, very well presented. Had everything we needed. Plenty of little extra touches made our stay that much better. Thank you Lucy, for having us. Would t hesitate to stay again next time we’re back up that way.

Mikes place was great, comfortable and a great location close to public transport, Newmarket and the city. Mike was a great host, friendly and caring, he even lent us an umbrella for the rain and Hop cards for the bus. Highly recommend

This is hands down the best Airbnb to stay at while visiting Auckland! The view from the deck is absolutely stunning—you can watch the most beautiful sunsets right from the comfort of your stay. The place was spotless, fully stocked with everything you might need, and incredibly comfortable. The hosts were absolutely lovely—super welcoming and checked in a few times to make sure everything was perfect. They were always ready to help out if needed. Highly recommend this spot for anyone visiting Auckland!

This place is a real gem, very comfortable, and amazing being surrounded by beautiful tropical trees in the city! Loved the spa pool and the cute glasshouse for movie-watching. Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic stay in this spacious and peaceful guest suite. The location in Herne Bay is stunning; beautiful homes, gardens, and streets make for a wonderful area to walk. Check-in was seamless and easy, and the hosts' were very responsive and friendly. The suite itself was very comfortable, clean and well-equipped, making us feel right at home. It’s also in a perfect spot, with great cafes, a supermarket, and bay beaches just a short walk away, plus easy access to the CBD by bus or Uber. Honestly, it’s hard to think of anything that could be improved; we’d absolutely stay again. A big thank you to the hosts for an amazing 'home away from home', we highly recommended this fabulous suite to other guests.

We loved the homely atmosphere of this accommodation, so clean and cosy, and can relax either in a bathtub or on the deck. Great host, great space! 👍

Kyra's place gave an instant feeling of home and a place to relax as soon as we opened the front gate. Beautiful gardens, light filled home full of greenery, open windows with a view towards the city and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Fully equipped kitchen, BBQ and a selection of records to play. We would move here if we could! Kyra was friendly and super responsive, we booked at very short notice for 3 days and everything was ready and in place for us to enjoy our stay. Thank you Kyra and Adam :)

Had a lovely stay! Sarah is a brilliant host and gave us great local eating recommendations. As advertised, the space is cosy for family of 3 adults, but perfectly comfortable. The hill is steep, but this is offset by the location: ~2 km from city on the trail & easy access to buses & trains! We'd love to come back 💙

We stayed at Natasha's place for 2 nights (and also my birthday weekend) and it was perfect! If you're looking for a peaceful and serene place to stay, this is it. I thought the stairs to the bedroom would be an issue, but no, it was actually fun. The bathroom was very clean, the kitchen has utensils and everything. Natasha even offered a milk upon our arrival. She kept on checking if we were okay during our stay. The bedroom gets hot in the day, but since we're out exploring during the day, it was not an issue. I would love to book this place if I visit Auckland again.

After years abroad, I returned to Auckland and ended up booking Bronwyn’s place. First off, the location. I didn’t have a car when I first arrived, but it didn’t really matter. Ponsonby Road was just a five-minute walk away, and if I went the other direction, Richmond Road was just ten. Shops, buses, cafes - everything I needed was right there. Now, the place itself; spotless, modern, and way more spacious than I expected. It’s got that five-star hotel flair, but with free laundry and no sneaky parking fees. If I had to say anything about the hosts, it’s very simple: the best I’ve had on Airbnb. Hands down. Whether it was fresh linen, swapping out water bottles, or putting up with my slightly excessive texting, they were always accommodating. That said, I always had complete privacy. That balance - between feeling looked after and left alone - is hard to come by. But they nailed it. It’s rare to find a place that gets it all right.
