Beautiful and comfortable house with a very nice Japanese style in a calm and walkable location. The host was very friendly and picked us up at the train station and then drove us back after check out. The house is at 5 minutes of a supermarket and 20 minutes walking from the old town of Takayama.

I wish I could give this property more than 5 stars! 
In my 10 years as an Airbnb user, Yuri is by far the best host we’ve had. She is communicative, respectful of privacy, and generous. The house is exceptionally clean (even by Japanese standards), well-stocked, and spacious enough for our party of four. The photos simply don’t do this property justice. It is professionally managed by a team that clearly cares about their clients. We will definitely return! (As a side note: We’ve recently started staying in hotels more often due to the inconsistent quality and cleanliness of many of the Airbnbs. However, properties like this one and hosts like Yuri truly embody the spirit of Airbnb.)

白馬でのスキーのために利用しました！ 雪の季節のため駐車場が心配でしたが、あらかじめ除雪されており問題なく２台停めることができました。また、部屋も写真通り綺麗で、雰囲気ある空間のため、心地よく利用させていただきました！ ありがとうございました😊

I very much enjoyed my stay at Shiyu’s guest house. Cosy and furnished so you can cook your own food whenever. Like most old Japanese houses, it will feel cold over winter, so you will need to be fine with turning on the heaters each time you get home. But once you know your way around it, it gets easier. Also it is a really good deal for the price. I will definitely go back staying at Shiyu’s whenever I come back to Takayama! Many thanks again Shiyu for all the recommendations!

The house was very nice and tidy. The host was very helpful with getting us from a to b from start to finish. Location wise it is very close to chair lifts and also local restaurants. Would highly recommended this for a group of friends or a large family. We fit 7 but you could probably fit 1 or 2 more. Thanks

We had a lovely stay at the lodge. It was perfect for our ski trip - being close to the mountains and convenient for ski rentals. The team made it easy for us throughout our stay including getting to and leaving the area. The common area was cozy and perfect to relax in during bad weather.
