We have just come back from spending nine unforgettable nights at Penzhorn Rest Cottage and it exceeded all of our expectations - even better than the photos! Zonja, our host, welcomed us warmly on arrival and was so accommodating to make sure we were happy throughout our stay. Her hospitality has honestly blown us away! The highlight of our stay was the daily sight and sound of the river with nightly hippo visitors which added such a magical touch to our stay, immersing us in the beauty and awe of the African bush. Whether enjoying a coffee while reading by the river or relaxing in the ‘bosbad’ every moment felt really special to us! Zonja’s meticulous eye for detail was evident in the small touches around the cottage which made us feel right at home. This is a haven for nature lovers seeking a luxurious yet authentic escape. If you decide to book this listing you won’t be disappointed! We left feeling rejuvenated and are already looking forward to returning!

Kim proved to be an exceptionally host, and the unit itself was tucked away in a beautifully serene estate—perfect for a peaceful getaway.

We had at great stay at Nontando’s place — the views of the lagoon from the balcony are the best, it was a lovely place to have our morning coffee. The amenities are great, with an amazing gym, games room, and restaurant, which were really helpful for our longer term stay, especially with young kids. Nantando was really responsive, making sure we had daily access codes that are required to enter and exit the compound — security is very tight! She also provided information on how to access the pool/lagoon, floating bouncy castle and kayaks (for a small additional fee paid directly to the estate). She also provided toys for the kids, extra fans, got things fixed quickly, and provided anything else we might need, including some great recommendations in the area. And while we enjoyed our stay here, it is her kindness that we will remember even more.

What a beautiful place! While sitting in the pool you can watch hippos, elephants etc. by the river. The apartment is super equipped, very clean and Christine was a wonderful hostess with an open ear for all situations. Thank you - we hope to come back sometime!

Shane was a great host. He was very communicative and responsive. His place had everything we needed and the pools and lagoon were awesome. We enjoyed the inflatables and canoes. We also had a toddler with us and Shane organised a mattress for the baby at no extra cost. Thanks Shane!

Stan and Corné The best accommodation we have ever stayed at. Did even switch on the television once as the view was amazing. We saw more animals sitting in the pool then what we saw on the game drive My Family and I just want to thank you for everything. We all really enjoyed staying at your place. I can honestly say that it was the best holiday home that we have ever stayed at. From Breathtaking scenery and relaxing feel throughout the whole house and entertainment for the children and adults. Little Jock is a fantastic property on the shores of Crocodile River. Easy access to town, shops and Kruger National Park. The views and animal watching from the garden are to die for with elephants, warthogs, impala, oryx, crocs, hippos during our stay. The hosts are gracious providing recommendations for safari tours and local restaurants. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone visiting Kruger.

One of the best locations we’ve stayed at. Beautiful views and extremely peaceful. The pictures do not do justice to the home. Gina was extremely helpful and she had recommended a bunch of activities to do. We will definitely be back to stay !

We had an amazing stay in this beautiful house on the Crocodile River. The views of the river are incredible from the house and the bird blind just down the driveway has a 180 degree view of an active bend in the river. We spotted hippos, elephants, giraffe and countless birds from the bedroom. The house was even larger than expected, had daily housekeeping and comfortable beds. Anton was a terrific host and had great advice for exploring the area. Being able to use the resort amenities like mini golf, pools and several bird blinds on the river was a plus. The indoor braai where we could cook inside in the AC during a summer heat wave was one of the highlights of our trip. It’s a special place very close to the Kruger National Park Crocodile Bridge gate.

Sherilee’s beautiful lake house is situated on the banks of the Da Gama dam. It has everything that you can want from an AirBnB from backup power to WiFi. Ashton was also extremely friendly and proactive as the house’s caretaker. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to have a holiday in Mpumalanga. We hope to be back soon for another wonderful stay!

A surprise awaits you in Carolina. Great place. On town edge, close to nature.

This was just what the dr ordered. Beautiful little cottage with the most beautiful surroundings. Dee is a most gracious host. very friendly and helpful. The cottage has everything that one needs - fully equiped kitchen, comfortable chairs and a little oven that makes the living room nice and toasty. This is highly recommended if you want to sit back and relax!

What an amazing lodge Abendruhe is! Every need is catered for and Gunther and Anita are the perfect hosts. Always available and ready to help. Worth doing a game drive with Gunther as besides seeing a lot, he has a wealth of information and knowledge and is willing to share with interested guests. Game can also be seen from your well kitted out chalet throughout the day. Will definitely be visiting them again if we are in that area, no other place to stay!

this is such an amazing Lodge. The view from our Cabin ,the Pool the Honesty Bar and the Water hole and Animals coming through. It's Peaceful and the evenings are chilled. Our Family really needed this Break and it was Amazing. I definitely recommend this Lodge.

My stay in Sashay was amazing he is very responsive, communicative, and the instructions for the self check in were extremely easy to follow. There are great facilities open to the use of guests, you can use the gym, the lagoon, the beach, the kayaks, the paddle and everything around. The property is equipped with everything that you need and is extremely tidy. I recommend staying here and will make sure I come back
