Flew in from Toronto, Canada to this beautiful home away from home. Barbara, Graeme (and Rosie) were extremely hospitable and welcoming hosts. The cottage has everything you need. Lovely, comfortable linens and beds, clean and modern bathrooms, fully stocked kitchen, and great and private hot tub. The location is very rural, but easy to find with google maps. The town of Kilburnie is close by with a grocery store, gas station and pharmacy among other amenities.

Brilliant location and Exceptional service , Hosts are very friendly and helpful. Great privacy and beautiful spot. Would come again!

Lovely place. Accurate pictures, though when you get there it feels even nicer than photos can show. Very friendly and responsive. Sometimes it can be quite a vulnerable experience travelling as an LGBTQIA+ couple, but here we felt welcome and safe. Hope to visit again with friends and family.

Gorgeous time away with family for New Year. Cottage very spacious as well as cosy and the views are spectacular.

Lovely and peaceful, with super loch views and a relaxed vibe. Nicely curated and perfect for our elderly golden retriever as everything was, bar a few steps here and there, on one level. The covered deck is ideal whatever the weather. Would recommend.

We had a fabulous stay at your gorgeous cosy house. We loved the festive theme, an ideal space to spend Xmas and New Year. Waking up to those stunning views was such a bonus and we made good use of the hot tub especially after doing the Hidden Heritage Trail which was stunning. We enjoyed seeing in the New Year and a meal at The Village Inn (literally a 2 minute walk away) with the Scottish piper adding to the festive atmosphere. A thoughtful use of the space within the cottage. A few niggles with lights not working & no local electrician available. Lots of local information. The hot tub is well worth the time it takes to heat up. A great spot for a short break.

We had a great stay at Alison&Thomas's cottage. It was as described, well appointed and tastefully and thoughtfully decorated. The well stocked wood burner was so cosy and warm. Great location to explore from and I would definitely stay again. Thank you both.

We felt very much at home in this cosy, lovingly decorated cottage. Every practical need was taken care of, the heating system worked perfectly. We liked our meals at the big kitchen table and the quaint staircase leading up to the bedroom and bathroom. Personally, I found it hard to sleep because the mattress was worn out and very uncomfortable

We had the most relaxing week here. Carole was so helpful and responsive especially when the weather caused some disruptions to the roads. I have 2 young children and a teenager who all want to go back! And the dog 😁

Was lucky to have spent the weekend at the cottage with my wife and dogs. Loved everything about this cottage from the lay out to the nautical theme decor and beach location. The cottage is well stocked and very comfortable with instructions for everything in an organized folder. The garden is a decent size and fully enclosed which was great for our dogs, not to mention the private direct access to the beach. For us the cottage was perfect although for those with reduced mobility there are steep stairs inside the property and more steps down to beach. Dunure is a small village based around a pretty harbor which is only a few minutes walk from the cottage. There is a dog friendly restaurant/bar at the harbor which we didn't have a chance to try but we did visit the cafe, again dog friendly, a few times and can recommend the cakes and breakfast! Hugh and Marion were superb hosts with clear and helpful communications. I would definitely recommend a visit to this property.

Excellent accommodation in the ideal position to explore Islay. The house was spotlessly clean, well maintained and very comfortable and warm.

I had a lovely few days at Lesley's place. It's secluded and quiet which is just what I was after. The views are beautiful and I was lucky enough to have clear skies to do some stargazing. The house itself is well set up and comfortable. Lots of great locations within a short distance and Lesley had some nice recommendations of places to go. I would advise to arrive in good daylight as the track to and through the farm is very dark.

This house is amazing! You feel right at home! There’s a ton to do within walking distance and a very short drive to beautiful beaches! The area is amazing! We loved this stay!

Raymie’s cottage has a wood burning stove which he filled with peat and made ready for us to light. This was very special as we visited in March when it was cold and raining. We loved the atmosphere of the cottage. Raymie is a good host; clear, informative, and friendly. We would have stayed longer if the cottage wasn’t already booked, and would stay again when back in Cushendall.

1st time staying at Islay Cottage, the cottage is very quaint set in beautiful surroundings with a waterfall not 1 minute down the road. The cottage was immaculate and well presented, our favourite bit was the log burner. We shall definitely be back again in the next couple of months. Thank you Fiona for sharing this little piece of paradise with us.

Exceeded our expectations for sure. Enjoyed every minute. Host went out of her way to meet with us. Cottage did not lack anything. Area was quite and in the middle of nature.

We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage! We had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The views were absolutely stunning. It was the perfect escape for me and my 9-year-old daughter; we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. The cottage was cozy, clean, and just what we needed to unwind. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat and very close to Loch Lomond.

We had a great time in this beautiful, cosy cottage in the woods. Very well equipped and we loved the wood burning stove and all the artwork. The cottage is a 5 minute walk from Kilfinan forest trails. We will definitely be coming back

We had the best holiday at Rose Cottage! The house is so quaint and the surroundings are beautiful. Home from home! We couldn’t fault the house at all. Maureen was the perfect host and went above and beyond to ensure we had such a fabulous time. We spent a week there but definitely could have stayed longer. We will be back!
