This was my second stay and it was as wonderful as the first! The location was close to everything we wanted to do and the lake was just across the road. The road was perfect for long morning walks watching the sun rise. My daughter and her family visited and there was enough room for all of us to hang out in the evenings.

This place is just north of Grand Marais and offers a beautiful view of Lake Superior from the deck. It is quiet and private, and there is a great night sky view of the stars.

Robert was a fantastic host. The place was very cozy and peaceful and was everything needed for a wonderful getaway from the rustle and bustle of everyday life. To top it off, my girlfriend and I got ourselves stuck and he helped dig and push our car put and was even willing to help tow us out if it came to that. He went above and beyond anything I’d expect from a host. And I highly recommend staying at one of his locations if you want a great place to stay and a host who has your back. We’ll definitely be back!

It was a beautiful space, peaceful and quiet just the getaway we were looking for to be surrounded by the beautiful autumn colors and the view of the superior lake with just breathtaking.

We loved our stay at cottage number one. It was beautifully decorated, spacious living room. When we arrived it was warm, cozy and welcoming. We all slept well and enjoyed the views of the lake as we woke up. We had everything we needed and the towels felt luxurious! We would highly recommend staying here and we would love to come back in the future. Thank you to Teresa and Mike for their quick responses to our questions and for their flexibility! ♥️

A Perfect Valentine’s Getaway on Lake Superior I can’t say enough about this incredible cabin on Lake Superior—it was everything I hoped for and more! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully designed to create the perfect escape. The cabin itself was stunning, with warm, inviting decor and high-end finishing touches that made it feel both luxurious and cozy. The fireplace, soft lighting, and plush furnishings set the perfect mood for a romantic getaway. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, making it easy to prepare a special meal without missing a thing. The highlight, of course, was the hot tub overlooking the lake. Listening to the icy waves crash while soaking in the warmth was absolutely magical, especially under the stars. It was the perfect place to unwind. Beyond the incredible amenities, the location was unbeatable—private, peaceful, and with breathtaking views of Lake Superior.

Nancy and Jonathan’s cottage was one of the best air b&b experiences we have ever had. Their place is in a beautiful location, with a breathtaking view of the bay. It’s quiet and peaceful. Best sleep. The inside of the house is pristine. So cozy and homey, without feeling cluttered. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spotless. Kitchen has everything one might want to cook for a whole family. My kids really loved all the board games they provided! And all the fishing books were a big hit with my son. They loved this house and want to come back next year. Also, they really go above and beyond. After a big snowstorm, Jonathan came by and shoveled out both the front and back patios - in under 10 minutes. He plowed out the driveway and cleanup the front walkway and steps. They were quick and inconspicuous. This act was very much appreciated. Beautiful home and wonderful hosts. We couldn’t recommend them enough.

This was my first time using Airbnb and everything was perfect. The Lighthouse is exactly as described. I appreciate that there is off street parking. Todd communicated procedures clearly as well as useful local information. The location of the Lighthouse is perfect if you're going to be spending time downtown, such as taking a class at North House Folk School. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

This was everything described and more. The property was so peaceful and quiet. The house itself is gorgeous and features some local artists. It was very spacious with beautiful views. They owners are so nice and helpful. We got a lot of snow the last night and they were able to give us an estimate of when the plow would be coming through and we're flexible with our checkout time. We hope to be back soon. Thank you!
