Ours was a return trip and it was easily as good as our excellent first stay. We are already planning our next visit - for us it ticks all the boxes and really is a very friendly, comfortable home-from-home. Gillian and Steve are wonderful hosts and always there to provide the best advice on what was happening in the area. We can't recommend them highly enough.

The View at this property is unmatched. We absolutely loved our time at this home, we explored Piha and jogged the beach and enjoyed all the local hikes and exploring the waterfalls. The locals were so kind and we loved getting coffee at the Piha store and talking to locals. We fell in love with this community and this home and can't wait to return in the future. Don't think just book it, you won't regret it.

From the moment we drove in to our check-out, everything went smoothly. We had a relaxing getaway, breaking free from trappings of everyday grind. Despite the horrible cyclone, we still enjoyed our stay. The pool was cold so we could only do a short dip, but it was kept clean by an automatic pool cleaner. The summer house itself was really warm and inviting. We were warned that they do get bugs - there’s plenty of insect repellent provided and bug spray too - it’s normal as you were surrounded by nature and trees. They have been really hospitable but not too hovering - just right. Thanks for making a quick, convenient break possible for us!

The cottage was perfect for a peaceful little getaway. It was easy to find, super clean and cosy. We were able to have a walk around the farm and meet all the animals, the eel and Spot the dog being our absolute favourites. Nadia also put together a breakfast basket for us which was so kind and super delicious. We had the best time and would definitely stay here again!

This is the *perfect* place to stay. Only a 15 minute drive to Piha Beach— which was one of my favorite spots to visit (LOVED the Piha Store for morning coffee & lunch), and about a 40 minute drive to Auckland. Everything about this space was beautiful. From the stillness and peace of the rainforest, to the lovely architecture and interior design. We couldn’t have picked a better place to stay for our first visit to NZ. 🤍

Beautiful stay at the Misty Mountain Hut. Loved the tranquil location and outdoor amenities were perfect. Would recommend anyone to stay here :) Thanks Antje
