Beautiful location, 2min walk to the Avalon shopping area, which has everything you would need great restaurants. Only 5min walk to Avalon Beach which also has an ocean pool. There are some great lookouts and hiking tracks nearby too. There was on-site parking for 1 car and plenty of easy street parking if you have a second car. The airbnb is located on the 2nd floor of Jan's house, with a private stairs entrance (would not be accessible for a wheelchair user). The airbnb had all the amenities you would need including a full kitchen and there was a washer and dryer which was handy! The airbnb was relatively clean, some areas could have a more thorough clean though. Good communication. Thank you Jan

Unbelievable location that has everything you need for your Newcastle stay. Everything is within walking distance (or tram). The place was neat and tidy and perfect for a toddler.

This gorgeous 2 bedroom unit right on the beach was exactly what we were after for our long weekend away. Easy access to the beach down the stairs, keyless entry to the unit, a carspace, very clean - lots of extra towels etc and well equiped unit with lots of kitchen and bathroom extras. Walking distance to cafe’s and restaurants. View from the balcony was gorgeous and private.

Had a great stay! The location was excellent, with stunning ocean views and easy access to restaurants and amenities. The host provided clear and precise instructions and was very responsive throughout our stay. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend staying here. The apartment is well located near the town centre and beach. Paula is a great host and has offered a home away from home. The apartment has everything you need and the stand out for my guests and I was how incredibly clean and comfortable the apartment was. Definitely a place I would stay again at when I’m travelling back to the entrance.

Great place! Exactly as described and depicted in the photos. Parking was a bit of an issue but as expected. Vivienne was incredibly helpful when I accidentally locked us out. Thank you so much Vivienne, for a wonderful stay. The bed is also exceptionally comfortable.

A pet friendly couples retreat with modern styling and furnishings that is an easy walk to the harbour foreshore and a huge number of cafes and restaurants. Sarah is an excellent host who was super responsive and flexible with check in and check out times.

We stayed at Gails place for an extended period , whilst working in the area, greta central location, Very tidy & modern place, Gail was great with communication Highly recommended

We had a lovely weekend getaway with a large group of friends at Copacabana. The place was within easy walking distance to the beach and local shops and cafes. The house was well equipped for meals and entertainment and we make good use of the pool table. Greg and Gretta were great communicators and allowed us a later check out time (thanks!). The only thing to note is the sofa bed, although separate to the main living area, is not very private (located at main entry, open to the staircase and pool table area). I would not recommend this for adults or light sleepers. But otherwise we had a great stay and would book this spot again in future.

Absolutely beautiful accommodation in a perfect location. It’s like your own private beach oasis right on the doorstep of Blacksmiths Beach and Granny’s Pool. The outdoor dining area was our favourite place to sit and enjoy a quiet breakfast and relax for dinner in complete privacy. The amenities are modern and everything you need - we didn’t want to leave! Easily the best place to stay in Blacksmiths!

We had a wonderful stay at Black Zinc, a very comfortable accommodation and so close to the beach. The place was well equipped and very clean. Amazing views and a very tranquil setting.

Our second visit as a group of lifelong friends. We do not have a pet but do appreciate the sense of openness and both the indoor and outdoor communal spaces. When sitting outside, you did not feel like you were being overlooked or impinging on other's enjoyment of their homes. Accommodates 6 adults easily. Good use of labels in kitchen for finding items. Great to have a coffee machine and basic supplies. Walk to Umina shops and beach. Suited us as we are "talkers" and like to be able to sit and chat. Spa well maintained. Great outdoor shaded area.

Lyn's place was lovely, it was in a great location with the ferry close to travel to Newcastle. The house was very tidy with great amenities, kitchen, BBQ & beds. Lyn offered us local information & was very accommodating with anything that we needed. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for something in this area.

We were is Cessnock for a family wedding. Our party included our daughter’s family of 2 small boys (3 and 1 year old) and another family couple who babysat the boys whilst we attended the wedding (6 adults in total). We all immediately felt at home in this well maintained and supplied home. The kitchen impressed us with its layout and ease of use. The two living areas were great as it allowed some separation from the little boys at various times. The 2 bedrooms with ensuites were great although we didn’t realise that an ensuite was hiding behind what seemed like wardrobe doors for a while. We eventually tweaked when we had better look at the floor plan which was clearly posted in multiple places in the house! Overall our 3 night stay was most enjoyable. This house is well suited for extended families such as ours. And there was an excellent coffee shop down the end of Cooper Street. Highly recommended.

Perfect for a weekend or even long term getaway. Location was great, right in the heart of the city, 5-mins walk to a couple local pubs, cafes and convenience stores and 15-mins walk to beach and light rail interchange. Also noticed quite a few buses with different bus routes around the area as well. Check in was a breeze and not that I had any issues but Mel was quick to reply once I had advised check in and check out. The place itself was fantastic, ducted air con throughout, 2 very big comfy beds, large lounge area and huge dining area with a kitchen that had what you need to cook for a large group of people, if you wished. Having access to a washing machine and dryer is always a plus, esp. when there’s a 2nd toilet and the bathroom was clean as well. Would definitely look to stay there again if going back up to Newcastle.

The photos of Kim’s place don’t do it justice. We had a really great stay and the highlight was the balcony overlooking kangaroos in the morning. The views are spectacular. Everything was perfect for our stay. I would highly recommend

The apartment and the amenities are outstanding. We returned here because we had to extend staying away from our house because of renovations. This was our first choice and u cannot recommend it enough. What really does need highlighted is how much of an outstanding history Connie is. She was so understanding, compassionate, super friendly and flexible. She deserves 10 stars.

Extremely cozy and a great area!

A beautiful unit finished and appointed to a very high standard. The unit is especially homely and only a few minutes walk to Avalon village. The location is ideally located also the nearby locality with lots of beaches, cafes and places of interest close by. We loved our time at this unit.

Definitely recommend staying here, we will be rebooking in the future
