We were lucky enough to spend a few days in this wonderful cabin and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. The cabin is perfectly equipped, spacious and with plenty of recreational areas, making it feel cozy and comfortable. The setting is stunning, with beautiful views of the lake and a peaceful atmosphere that invites you to relax. We enjoyed long walks around the area, kayaking, the campfire at night and the delicious food we prepared in the kitchen. What we liked most was the attention to detail and the hospitality of the owners. Everything was thought out to make us feel comfortable and happy. We would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a quiet and cozy retreat. We are already planning our return.

The cottage is gorgeous! Came equipped with everything we needed for a long weekend! We enjoyed relaxing on the dock and swimming out to the water trampoline. Lots of wood stocked for campfires which was greatly appreciated! Perfect location - 25 min drive to Limberlost Forest to hike and 10min to the delicious Henrietta’s Bakery! Will definitely return!

- [ ] My family and I had a wonderful New Years celebration at Mevan’s cottage. There were 8 of us plus our dogs and we can confidently say we found absolutely everything we needed during our stay. From wine glasses to two fully functional fridges/freezers, Mevan has put a lot thought on making sure the cottage is well equipped for large groups. We were happy to see the house was decorated for Christmas as it made our winter holiday getaway even more special. The house has a beautiful design with large windows and tons of natural light, it was magical to watch the snow fall through those beautiful floor to ceiling windows. Mevan was quick to respond to our messages and he proactively reached out to us with updates. This cottage is elegant, homey and functional, we can’t wait to go back. The cottage is well located, it’s just a short 2 minute walk to the beach and there are grocery stores, a pharmacy and a nice bakery nearby.

This stay was clean, comfortable and organized. We were warm, relaxed and the amenities were great. Would definitely stay again! Thank you!

The place was amazing . Lots of room and super clean . The kitchen had top end appliances and everything you could need or want to make any meal . The view was amazing from the entire house . You were really close to all shopping and downtown yet you feel like you’re nestled in the forest and very private. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to visit beautiful Huntsville!

With a party of twelve and an animal, it can be really difficult to find appropriate accommodations. Our experience with Chris was the complete opposite! Right from the start, Chris was helpful and quick to respond. During our stay, him and Steven made sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. With ample space inside and a large property, our whole family could relax and enjoy each others’ company together. Thank you so much for making this such a wonderful and easy process!

Fred’s house was great! The house’s open concept was large enough for all of us (6 adults) to hang out in through the cold winter days without feeling crowded. The fireplace added lovely ambience and warmth. The six bedrooms ensured we all had our own space, which was a nice treat for our girls’ weekend. The master bedroom with ensuite was particularly spacious. The whole house was nicely decorated, and overall was a cozy and welcoming place. We didn’t use the sunroom, as is unfortunately smelled of smoke. Fred was a very responsive host. He quickly answered any questions. We had a lovely stay here, and wouldn’t hesitate to fully recommend it.

Beautiful cottage right on the take. The property is very spacious and had fantastic amenities. The town nearby is just a ~10 minute drive away and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic hosts and a beautiful place to stay. Hosts were very informative, responsive and flexible. Home was clean and exactly as depicted in the photos. The location is perfect for a relaxing get away with lots to do in the surrounding area. Overall a great experience and would definitely recommend.

We stayed at the House by the Locks as part of a family vacation in February 2025 and had a fantastic time. This is a unique heritage home that takes "historic character" to a whole new level. It was beautifully furnished, spacious for our party of 6, spotlessly clean, and had a well-equipped kitchen. We used it as home base for doing winter activities at Algonquin and Arrowhead Provincial Parks, and it was a pleasure to return to at the end of the day. Check-in/out was easy, and the host was friendly and responsive. 10/10. Highly recommended!

We stayed recently for a girls trip and were extremely pleased with the house and the space! It was very clean and just as described, the host was very responsive and provided clear instructions for the house and its amenities. We would absolutely recommend this place and stay again!

Rob was great at communicating and kindly offered an early check in (although we didn’t actually end up arriving till late). Good location - few mins walk to Huntsville Main Street (nice tasting beer menu at the Brewhouse). Extra bits like plastic plates and games were great for our boys. Thanks for a great stay!

We had the most relaxing and magical weekend at the cottage. It looks exactly like in the photos. Beautiful nature, create for walking around enjoying the view from the window or just walking down to the dock. The cottage is clean and equipped with everything you could need. They have so much to stay entertained including countless games to choose from. The host was very responsive and accommodating. We will definitely return.

Becky’s cottage is perfect for a family stay in Muskoka. The cottage is incredibly well designed and appointed with tons of small touches that make the stay outstanding. Both the main cottage and side cottage provide ample space for all parties and the outdoor space from docks to patios give everyone tons of space to enjoy the outdoors. We hope to stay here again soon! Derek

Amazing location to stay in. Pristine accommodations. Super clean, comfortable, spacious, walkable to beach , a marina, walking trails , downtown and many close by restaurants. Paula is an excellent host, she thought of everything for our stay, including info for local attractions and restaurants. All the beds were super comfortable with luxurious bedding, lots of extra blankets for cool nights, very clean bathrooms and loads of available towels. Kitchen was very highly equipped and sparkling. She even thought to have full bird feeders on the premises so we would be entertained by the numerous birds! Paula was a very kind and patient host…. I accidentally left the key at a restaurant and when I called to ask to find another she was very understanding and kind. Great value for our vacation dollars!!!!

Great home for our employee's working in town, felt like a home away from home! The home is very clean, perfectly decorated for cozy home feel and close to many amenities. Sarah is a great host, she is very organized and always made sure we were aware of what was going on with the property. We would happily stay with Sarah again.
