We had a lovely stay at Glenview! The location is ideal for hikers- right between the Old man of Storr and Quiraing hiking trailheads. In addition across the street is a walk down to a beautiful beach Brothers Point which has fossilized dinosaur prints (if you can find them at low tide!). The space itself was cozy, large comfortable king bed and large clean bathroom. The record player was a nice touch which we enjoyed in the evenings. Kirsty was very kind and gave the option to provide dinner at a cost to guests which could be helpful as most of the food options are 20 minutes away in Portree. Overall we had a great stay!

Dorothy’s place is wonderful. It’s a very comfortable place to stay and we loved the outside patio. It had all the amenities we needed and Dorothy was super responsive to our questions. The view from the house/patio is breathtaking and we would definitely stay here again

The annex is a beautiful place to stay. Joanne has thought of absolutely everything to make this a wonderful home from home on the Island. It is finished to a very high standard but still comfy and cosy with lovely furnishings. Lots of extra touches like charging points by the bedside, generous bathroom and well equipped kitchen. Information about local walks and very near a great beach. Very dog friendly too.

We had a lovely stay in this little gem of Cheryl and Stephen! Everything was as described and check in was easy. You have everything you need and even a laundry room. The ocean view is amazing and Breakish as a starting point for Skye and Hiking was just perfect. Thank you!

We had a fabulous stay at Sue’s. The apartment was immaculate with stunning views. We ate once at The Applecross Inn and also cooked out on the beach … two fantastic meals ! We will definitely return and highly recommend Sue’s house to our friends.

I rarely give a 5.0 review but Steve and Sheryl were great hosts and their place is amazing.

The cottage boasts a stunning and peaceful view of the Inner Sound. Fantastic welcoming basket from our host and well stocked with all the kitchen necessities. Great home base for all of your Skye day trips. Will definitely recommend to our friends.

A wonderful stay in the most wonderful location. Views from the hide are incredible and only matched by how well appointed the property is. A triumph of sustainable development in a unique location. We would highly recommend!!

Diane’s place is the ideal spot for a peaceful, picturesque getaway to the Isle of Skye. My friends and I used the kitchen a lot and it had everything we needed. The beds were cozy and everything was clean. And seeing the sheep everyday was an added bonus and so fun! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice place to stay on the isle of Skye. Just know that the closest grocery store is 45 minutes away, so just get groceries before you arrive.

We stayed here in March, so it was a bit cold. Had to run the wood fire stove most of the evening to heat the place up. Aside from that, the place had everything we needed, from 3 bedrooms (3 kids each had their own bed) to a freezer to the washer/dryer. It was a 10 minute walk to anything in town, and the grocery store was a 5-minute walk away. Sarah was very responsive to all of my questions, which made the stay even better. This was a great place to stay, and I wish I could say the next time we will be in the country, but I would stay here again!

Wonderful stay. Well situated to expore North and South UIst, with lovely cafe, fish shop, and wool shop, within easy access. Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Very thoughtfully, and tastefully, furnished and equipped. Lovely views of the loch, and very entertaining sheep wandering by. Robin and Michelle couldn't have been more helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our break in their beautiful cottage.

This was our second stay here and we had a brilliant trip. John’s place is well equipped and has everything you need, even for a longer time away. We also made the most of the working space in the spare room which worked great. The recommendations for local days out and food were really useful and John was always a responsive host if we needed anything. Overall a really comfortable place to stay that we would highly recommend.

Felt like home. We stayed at Braes Retreat for four weeks and we loved every minute. The location is great for travelling around Skye as it’s pretty central but it still has that quiet isolation that most people come to Skye looking for. The house has everything you need, it’s very clean and comfy and Iain and Ingrid are great hosts to help you out with any issues. As all the other reviews say, the garden is spectacular, the views are beautiful and it’s generally a really lovely place to stay.

We had an amazing stay at Debbie's place! The accommodation was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. The breathtaking view was absolutely dreamy, even on rainy and stormy days. It was the perfect retreat—we enjoyed playing games, cooking together, and relaxing. The bed was super comfortable, and we felt right at home. Debbie was a wonderful host—very communicative and welcoming. We truly appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout the space. A special highlight was watching the sheep—it added a unique and peaceful touch to our stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to unwind. We highly recommend staying here and would love to come back someday!

Marie's place was great. Beautiful country setting and just a short drive to Old Man of Storr hike and The Fairy Pools hike. Both are must do hikes on Skye. Close to Broadford for great food at any of a number of restaurantsThe accommodations were perfect for two. Well equipped kitchen and wonderful ambience. Very nice furnishings that reflects Scottish style. We would love to return next time we are on Skye.

What an amazing place to come and stay! Not sure where to begin with the praise for this place. Hosts were amazing, everyone we met was outstanding and the landscape speaks for itself. We had some strong winds and rain during our stay and in some way that added to our experiences on this trip! 100% recommend.

Was unable to stay at this place as the road onto Skye was closed and we did not have the time to drive back to Inverness and re-try on the only other route. However, Rachel was fantastic to deal with and I would recommend her place when visiting Skye.

The house was beautiful/gorgeous…very peaceful..Ruth was very responsive..she visited us personally on our first night and made sure everything was great!! It’s a really cute house in a fantastic location. The house is literally situated next to a beautiful loch (lake). We loved the breakfast provided by Ruth. The bedroom was immaculate and the bed was very comfortable..this is one of the best airbnbs we have stayed in..

A Truly Magical Stay on the Isle of Skye. This place is a perfect blend of the majestic and the deeply comforting—a haven where we felt both enchanted and completely at home. We highly recommend this gem! After long days of exploring the green, velvety hills of Isle of Skye, this Airbnb was the perfect home away from home to rest our travel-bones bones with a deep, luxurious bathtub that beckoned us to soak and the heated tile floors throughout. Diana even generously stocked the fridge with sourdough bread, eggs, and coffee. The highlight of our stay was the flowery gardens, babbling brooks, and exclusive access to a hidden beach bungalow. With two comfy beach chairs and a wood-burning furnace, it quickly became our favorite spot to enjoy breakfast and dinner in tranquility. Diana and Alan, were the epitome of hospitality, welcoming us with warmth and kindness, especially as an LGBTQIA+ couple, this meant the world to us. They are lovely. We are already dreaming of our return.

Beautiful, peaceful spot off the beaten path — couldn’t imagine a better place to stay for my first time to Skye. Takes a bit to get most places, but it’s so worth it to stay in this wonderful home (clean, spacious, private) with a spectacular view from every room! Rosie is a terrific host, extremely friendly and made me feel right at home. She had some eggs, bread and fruits waiting for me after my long drive up, which I found to be a special touch. Her dogs and cat are sweethearts as well! 100% recommend.

For stays in Mallaig, this is easily the best listing. The space is beautiful and well conceived with ample natural light and expansive views of the harbor and main thoroughfare. The kitchen and dining area are well stocked and conducive to having meals at home.The host is kind and responsive, always replying to correspondence within minutes.
