Wow! I have stayed in so many places and never would have expected to find such a fabulous place so close to SFA where my niece goes to school. So beautiful, so private, a true piece of paradise. The owners really did think of their guests when building their cabins. We stayed in Antlers which is the largest. A true log cabin, it has a large deck overlooking a ravine with a creek at the bottom. The cabins are all far enough apart that you will have complete privacy. They have a cute common area with sport options and a hot tub, again private from the cabins. There are just not enough words to describe how peaceful and lovely this property is. They have even made a trail along the creek. We were here celebrating my moms 80th bday and on the morning we were leaving mom and I walked that trail. Do it! You will not regret it. LOVE LOVE LOVE and hope to be back someday. My family lives in La Porte but I live in Northwest Indiana. It was truly a lovely visit.

Our second stay at Gus's Cabin and will not be our last! Such a special & peaceful place that immediately takes us into relaxation mode. We love the perfect sized cabin on gorgeous private property, beautiful southwest decor, ultra-comfy bed, warm lamps & seating well-suited for reading, & rocking chairs on the porch for all day dreamy views, especially sunsets. Marcia is a fabulous hostess and always very helpful and responsive. Thank you!

The hosts were very personable and accommodating! I felt right at home from the very beginning. I stayed in the Treehouse cabin which was perfect for my solo vacation. Check-in process was straightforward with no extra time wasted so you can get right to enjoying the property. If you’re escaping the chaos of city life Stag Leap is the place to be. Extremely private, top tier cleanliness, and an amazing view to top it off!

Beautiful location that was right on the creek. We loved adventuring around the grounds. The amenities were wonderful. We loved that there was disc golf baskets too! Location was clean and peaceful. I will be recommending it to all my family and friends.

Everything you need for you and your boat when on a fishing trip. I stayed for 4 nights and everything worked, beds comfortable, shower strong and hot. Loved the carport for the boat (nice and wide). And the electricity for charging boat batteries was perfectly positioned. Big refrigerator and freezer, and ample counter space. The area was nice and private and I felt comfortable about safety and security. Changes I would make: 1. The driveway was of dirt and stones; it needed either more stones or paving. 2. The motion detecting yellow porch light was finicky, I would rather it be white bright light that stays on or off. 3. Add a switch or dial to control the wind on the lake please. 😊 Thanks for a great stay.

This place was beautiful, she took our reservation on super short notice. It was peaceful and serene. We fished the ponds and sat and enjoyed the rain while we were there. I definitely recommend staying here we will be back!!

Kathy is an amazing host. She always goes above and beyond to make sure we are comfortable while we stay with her. Her homes are very recommended. Thank you, Kathy, for giving us a comfy place to stay while working away from our homes and families. It truly makes a difference in our day.

Enjoyed our stay, we rented more than one of Jim and Amanda Ross’s properties over the past weekend due to our large group. Very clean and they were very quick to respond to a few questions we had. We would recommend any of the properties they have . We hope to be back soon!

What a wonderful place to stay! It felt like I was staying at my family's cabin. It had everything that you would need to go along with meals from coffee to bbq sauce. Also had supplies that you might have forgotten at home; like shampoo, lotion, toothpaste etc. Being in the middle of the woods with the sun streaming through the trees drinking a yummy cup of coffee on the deck in the morning was dreamy and so relaxing. The host, Andrea, was always quick to respond to questions and was warm and welcoming. The accommodations are definitely 5 star worthy! The cabin is lovely and if you are looking to get away from it all and connect to nature this place cannot be beat! P.S. Our dogs were in heaven!

Fishermen’s dream spot & pet friendly! My small family of 3(& pups), made an impromptu trip to the cabin and left making a great friendship with KC & Lizzie(a beautiful lab pup). KC is a really cool guy and has tons of helpful tips on the local fishing/boating/recreational activities & more!….Thank you KC for your attentiveness & including my uncle Ruben(Marine Vet) on your fishing trip. He will forever be talking about his unforgettable trip when he gets back to California. We will definitely be back to visit!

For this being our first Airbnb experience it was amazing! Everything was clean, smelled good, the scenery was gorgeous and it was so peaceful and quiet. We had friendly neighbors in the other cabins as well which made the experience that much better. We did meet Deebo the cabin kitty. He was very friendly. I highly recommend these cabins we had everything we needed and then some. If we are in the area again we will definitely stay again.

The house was prefect for our weekend stay. The location of the house provided good access to multiple boat ramps on the lake. The house was very clean and well taken care of. We will definitely be staying here again.

Our stay at Warren’s Bear Cabin on Sparks Lake in Nacogdoches, TX was wonderful and we highly recommend it. The “neat as a new pin” and very well appointed Bear Cabin is lakeside (great for fishing/hiking along the bank or just relaxing on the deck) in this bucolic setting), nestled on the slope of a rolling hill overlooking Sparks Lake; secluded and peaceful. Warren was an amazing host, very attentive and responsive. We will definitely stay again (if available) when in Nacogdoches; a rare and enjoyed find.

The cabin was very nice. The location is perfect for those fishing on Sam Rayburn. Would love to stay here next time we are in the area.

The cabin is small but we all had enough room. I would have like a few more amenities. Namely a toaster oven or at least a toaster since there is no oven and hand soap. Overall we had a good time fishing, kayaking and playing card games at night.

I would only recommend adding more towels & washcloths to the room. Had to go buy pods to wash for a 2day stay. Maybe adding a floor lamp would also add lighting to the main room. Thanks will definitely stay again!

It was great fish didnt cooperate. Leslie helped with some sessoning for the steaks. Real nice trip. You might want to bring a pot or two if you plan on cooking. Will surely be back again. Thanks

Beautiful small house with everything we needed. Enjoyed the lakeside peace and the sounds of birds. Just the quiet we wanted. Im not sure we would stay again only because the other cabin on the property is a few steps away. It was not occupied our first night but had folks in it the second day. They were fine— no problems— but Id worry about noise if a louder group/family was staying there. This would be an ideal set up to rent both cabins for two families to have weekend together. Great patio and the views are great. Cabin had everything we wanted and very pretty.
