Our stay was wonderful! The home was clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities we needed. The host was exceptionally responsive and courteous, and the check-in/out instructions were clear and hassle-free. We especially appreciated the property’s thoughtful design, despite traveling with elderly parents (who walk with heavier steps) and an infant who sometimes fussed at night, the thick walls and floors provided excellent sound insulation, which put our minds at ease. It was reassuring to know the space accommodated our family’s needs so well. We’d love to return in the future and highly recommend this spot to others.

In my 10 years as an Airbnb user, Yuri is by far the best host we’ve had. She is communicative, respectful of privacy, and generous. The house is exceptionally clean (even by Japanese standards), well-stocked, and spacious enough for our party of four. The photos simply don’t do this property justice. It is professionally managed by a team that clearly cares about their clients. We will definitely return! (As a side note: We’ve recently started staying in hotels more often due to the inconsistent quality and cleanliness of many of the Airbnbs. However, properties like this one and hosts like Yuri truly embody the spirit of Airbnb.)

Our group of nine thoroughly enjoyed the recent stay at this chalet. The accommodations were perfect for our needs and provided a comfortable and relaxing environment. Every detail seemed carefully considered, making our trip truly memorable. We appreciated the chalet's amenities and the beautiful surroundings. 완벽했던 숙소와 함께 감동적인 경험을 했습니다. 1.위치 - 시마노오마치역에서 도보로 충분히 이동 가능합니다. 도보로 20~30분정도 거리로 짧지 않은 거리지만 가는 경로의 길이 아름다워 지역을 즐기며 이동하기 좋습니다. 2.숙소 - 숙소는 안내와 일치하며 네 방향으로 개방되어 있는 창문을 통해 멋진 풍경을 감상하기 좋습니다. 내부 구조가 재밌게 구성되어 있으며 집기도 깨끗하게 관리되어 있고 화장실과 욕실이 1개이지만 분리되어 있어 6인이 방문하여 사용하기에 큰 불편함이 없었습니다. 3.호스트 - 완벽한 호스트입니다! 숙소에서 1박 좋은 경험을 하고 다음 여정을 위해 기차로 1시간 가량 이동하던 중 여권이 들어있는 가방을 숙소에 놓고 온 것을 알게 되었습니다...! 패닉상태에 빠진 저희 일행은 한참 방법을 생각하다가 우선 호스트에게 연락을 하게 되었는데... 기적같은 일이 벌어졌습니다. 호스트께서 시마노오마치에서 마츠모토까지 무려 40Km의 거리를 차로 이동하여 저희가 놓고 온 짐을 전달해주셨습니다. 너무 감사하고 너무 죄송하고 너무 감동이었습니다. 이 이벤트 하나로 우리 모두 이 여행과 사람에 대한 큰 감동을 받게 되었습니다. 다시 한번 감사드립니다. 그리고 이 숙소를 알아보시는 게스트 분들은 고민하지 말고 선택하시기를 바라겠습니다. 모든 분들께 평화와 행복이 가득하시기를 바랍니다.

Our family of four had a wonderful stay for 3 nights. Location is fantastic, a short 8 min walk to the JR Nikko train station, which is the starting point for most local buses and the direct shuttle bus to Edo Wonderland. The house is located in a quiet area with trees behind and lovely views of the mountains from the upstairs bedrooms. It is a 15 min walk to the main restaurant area, however we usually just grabbed food at the nearby convenience store for dinner. One night we ate at the nearby Hanamusubi Izakaya - would highly recommend. The house was quite spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. Bathroom and kitchen are well equipped with modern facilities. The sitting room was peaceful to relax in. Heaters in each room were great for the cold mornings! Michele was a wonderful host, he was very friendly and helpful - we were glad we got a chance to meet him in person at check in. Clear check-in instructions were provided and there is the ability to pre-store luggage.

We had a fabulous stay at Taketombo house. We were a group of three families with 6 kids. The house is at a picturesque location with a rice fields in front and mountains surrounding. The place was spacious for three families with clean rooms. Just sitting at the porch watching the nature itself was relaxing. Nick was very responsive, and interactive. Would definitely want to come back and stay here.

The apartment was much nicer than what the pictures showed. A very nice place to stay for someone looking for a relaxing accommodation after a strenuous day or long drive.
