4.5 stars easily. Lucy was a super awesome host. Very responsive and allowed me to check in a day early. She warned us of ants from the recent wild cyclonic weather. The yard was nice and big and green. The house was awesome. Heats up easy so recommend having the fans and aircon on. The amenities were good. Some needed cleaning due to ants. The deck being enclosed or open was awesome. Allowed us to keep our dogs crated and safe and in view. Beds were comfy too. I’d honestly LOVE to come back here again. It was such a lovely stay. I really enjoyed it. Only reason for the half star loss is just because even though the dogs weren’t allowed inside, I’m assuming someone before us did because there was fur all over the rug (before our dogs even left the car and they were never inside per host request) and dirt in bathrooms and laundry. The ants can’t be helped after the recent floods and what not. The back door onto the deck is a bit hard to move and we were worried we might break it.

Beautiful area to stay in. We woke with a family of Wallabies on the property. So peaceful and a nice stop on our trip from Sydney to Brisbane. If we could, we would’ve stay longer to enjoy it more.

Place was great, had everything we needed for a family holiday. Very special sitting on that deck watching the waves roll in. Quick access down to the beach for a surf or a fish. Thanks again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Chantelle’s beautiful abode. Chantelle’s communication style was great and we felt right at home. Would definitely stay again when in the mid north coast region 💛

Beautiful house on the edge of the bush but still close to town. Great for a couple of nights and good with kids. Mobile reception is a bit hit and miss. Deck to the backyard is beautiful and kitchen is well stocked.

A breathtaking view and serene atmosphere. The experience is kind of like glamping, as in we did most things outdoors, with the comfort of the amenities available within the tiny home. The road into the property is a tad tricky to figure out, despite the host’s detailed directions. Maps app gets confused, so study up on the exact location before you get there. My humble car made it up the drive, but I’d be reluctant to do it in wet weather. The road is very well maintained, it’s just the layout of the land that can be challenging for a city/sedan driver (and a couple of women who usually leave the off-road stuff to the blokes🤣). It was a great adventure and provided us with some great belly laughs. All worth it for the location - it’s very special up there. I’d return for sure. Take lots of firewood and steaks👍🏻👍🏻. My husband and I stayed in Studio 2 for three nights and loved it! The studio was even better in person. Cliff greeted us when we arrived and showed us around. He had the air conditioning on for us because it was hot outside. I had chosen studio 2 because it has a cooktop to cook our meals, an oven and a regular size refrigerator. It also had pots, pans, a rice cooker, plates, bowls, glasses, cups and cutlery, dishwashing liquid, etc. I had hoped to use the gravity water purifier on the bench top, but it took way too long for the water to filter through so we ended up buying water from Stuarts Point Grocery Store which was fine. We enjoyed eating our meals outside. The bed was very comfy. We slept with the window above the bed open to feel the lovely breeze in at night. It was very private, peaceful and quiet. The only noises heard were the rooster, the peacocks and other birds. We greatly enjoyed the heated pool and walking around the property surrounded by the rainforest. We love it!

Hi cliff and Julie just want to extend a great big thankyou for your hospitality friendliness it made our stay with our small family just that extra bit special would highly recommend Yarrallen retreat for anyone who is looking to reconnect with nature in a safe and structured family friendly environment ( 5 Stars!!!!!! ) will definitely be back !

We enjoyed our stay at Doris’ place. The house was well equipped with everything you need. There was plenty of space for 4 adults and 2 children. The pool was great. The house is in a good spot, a couple of minutes drive from everything you need. It felt like a quiet and peaceful part of town. If we head back to Nambucca Heads, we’d definitely stay again.

Julie’s property is an amazing and beautiful place that captures and celebrates the natural surroundings. We enjoyed the walks through the rainforest and around the billabong…just a few steps away from our accommodation. The accommodation was very well presented, easy to access, peaceful and perfect for our short stay. Close enough to the beach and coast, but far enough to feel removed from it all. We loved it and would highly recommend

Val is an outstanding host, she is great to communicate with and very lovely. Val was extremely understanding of the needs of our old Labrador, Honey and was far more accommodating than we could ever have expected. We all felt right at home in the space and warmly welcomed. The location is stunning, perfect to watch both the sunrise and sunset as you overlook native forests and pastures with horses. The little one bedroom cottage is immaculate. It has a full kitchen which is easy to use, and the whole house gets lots of light throughout the day. Another bonus of the location is how close it is both to Numbucca Heads and Scotts Head, both of which are about 20 minutes drive to the beaches. If you are looking for privacy, an amazing host and a nature filled experience this is definitely the place to visit. We already look forward to our next stay!

Beautiful and quiet modern studio just a few km’s off the highway. Loved the welcoming fairy lights and ambient firepit! Neat and stylishly decorated, a great place to stop with our dog, and break up long drive. Secure,private grassy yard with a high fence. Would stay again when passing through the area.

We enjoyed our stay at Sierras place . It was well priced and the view to the beach was amazing. The space was cosy and comfortable just perfect for a couple and a short stay. It was an easy walk to the cafe and the club. Scott’s Head is a stunning destination and we loved it!
