My stay at Macrina’s place will always have a special place in my heart. This is a gem in Aninuan where Macrina, and her staff(Justin, Belen and all others) will treat you with kindness, warmth, and familiarity that will make you feel you are family. Her accommodation also hosts guests who are as special as she is. During breakfasts and dinners, I’ve had the pleasure of talking with people with such wisdom and depth. As a young female solo-traveler, this is the safest I have felt. Here you are not just a guest, you are a part of a community. Macrina’s place isn’t one of those trendy, picture-perfect accommodation. No, what she offers is far more superior than that. Her place has heart. She takes care of you along with the help of her husband and staff. If you value personal connections, a comfortable room, and delicious food, stay at Riverside! We stayed three nights at Sandstorm. We were greeted with a friendly, welcome coffee and juice. The lodge is ideally located a short walk from the Numerous bars and restaurants on the prom to suit all tastes. Anthony, Malou, Yani and Gigi were very helpful with local recommendations and booking tickets. We had a lovely included breakfast each morning which was plentiful and varied. Anthony took us on a boat trip to explore the coastline and reef, back for lunch. It was great to go in a local boat. Yani recommend visiting the Mángyan village and falls, which was a good walk and visit with a local guide. We would highly recommend staying here. Anthony was good to arrange a courier delivery when I forgot my kindle too.

This place is neat, clean, cozy and very homey. The property is well arranged to welcome guests with comfort. 😌 The host is very responsive and helpful too throughout my stay, always ready to assist with anything I needed. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great stay and near to the city center of Calapan. Looking forward to coming back in the future!

2nd time and will book again, I find the place very relaxing and convenient to travelers like us.

We are 6 in group and stayed in the family room. It was really nice and super clean. What you see is what you get. The AC is freezing which is actually great! Since they are partner with Squares Beachfront resort, it was literally a 2 in 1 accommodation. We had access to the resort’s pool and beach. Hotel’s staff were really approachable, kind and smiling. Their hospitality was the best. Tho, it was a hotel, they had a kitchen that you can use with fee of P100.00 per day. All in all, our stay was worth the penny. Answer is the best place to stay in Puerto Galera. Affordable, accessible, superb, recommended, and fantastic. Sabi nga ng mga kasama ko, SULIT! 👌💯

The place is around 45 minutes away from Puerto Galera and approximately same distance from Calapan. The food is great! It would be an advantage to order meals there to avoid inconvenience in looking for a place to eat. It is conveniently located along the highway and the family and staff are very accommodating. The place is so cozy, it really feels like home. The room is very clean and well-maintained. It is worth going back to :)

I’m so happy to have found this place in Calapan, Oriental Mindoro! The unit looks new and I assumed it is, as the owner only started a year ago on airbnb. Booked two nights and our stay was very comfortable. What made me book this place is the aircon in the living room. When we got there, we were wowed by the very homey feel of the house. It’s also fun to have a unit that uses keycode instead of actual keys so you won’t worry of losing the key! 😅 As a person who prioritizes security, I love that the main door uses three locks inside to make sure no one’s going to enter when you’re away. 😂 There’s a separate room for kitchen which is another plus cos the smell won’t linger all over if you cook tuyo or other smelly foods 😅 They have a huge speaker complete with two microphones for if you just want to stay inside and have some fun singing. Their TV is a SMART TV — very easy to use and fast. Fast internet speed—my husband successfully had his online meeting without interruptio
