Linda and Nigel where really friendly, greeted us as soon as we arrived, really good service will definitely be visiting again

Directions to site were easy to follow, however the final instruction for the site entrance was stated as "Black Sheep", but the sign says "Black Ewe". Assuming there may be more than one site at the location we continued on for a short while before realising the error. In the car park is a small hut for firewood and "Snacks for Ewe", with 2 vending machines inside. The cabin itself was perfect for us. Blu-tooth speakers in the ceiling are easy to connect to and made our chosen music for the occasion even more enjoyable. Hot tub was perfect, and the view of the sky from the decking was spectacular given the good weather. Two juice bottles to welcome us was a lovely touch. Would love to stay again.

We had a fantastic relaxing stay here for New Year. It was exactly what we hoped it’d be and more. The photos don’t do it justice. The cabin is surrounded by beautiful views and the hot tub was ready for us when we arrived. We arrived slightly early and that was no trouble, we were allowed to check in early. Kerry was a great host and always responded promptly to messages. We would definitely return here. Thanks again for an amazing stay 😊

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful chalet! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the peaceful surroundings, the sound of the stream next to it and the cozy, well-equipped cabin. The highlights for us were definitely the hot tub and log burner — perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the area. The chalet was spotless, stylishly decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay - even a doggy welcome hamper! Ryan was fantastic—super friendly and responsive, ensuring we had everything we needed. The location is great, offering a perfect balance of seclusion and easy access to local attractions. We only wish we could have stayed longer! If you’re looking for a relaxing retreat with a touch of luxury, this place is a must-visit. We can’t wait to come back! Thank you Ryan 😊

Just came back from an amazing stay at Terry's Scandinavian Lodge overlooking the lake , so beautiful and peaceful , it makes for such a relaxing stay yet plenty to do and see all within a short drive . The Lodge is stunning and cosy and warm with everything you need for a home from home stay , the hot tub is great to relax in with views over the lake and just hear the sounds of nature . Terry was very welcoming and friendly with lots of knowledge of the area and things to see and do and places to eat , there's also a handy book in the Lodge with all the info. We've stayed at many places and this place is up there with the best , Cannot fault it 1 bit and will stay again without hesitation, highly recommended. 😎

It was a lovely relaxing and peaceful stay. Away from all the crowds with beautiful views. Morning breakfast with mountain views. Lots of nature and hearing to lots of lambs. Great gateway for weekends and bank holiday weekend or a week . Rebecca and Bex are lovely hosts. I would highly recommend this place

Had a wonderful weekend stay at the beehive, can't fault it atall. Lovely location and a great place to relax after a day of walking! Debbie and Roger did everything to make us feel welcome and even prepped the hot tub for our arrival 10/10 would stay again!

This was such a lovely stay, from the views to the cosy cottage. The clean bathroom with all the amenities needed. The hot tub was a nice treat after some cold winter walks. Ruth couldn’t have been more helpful, showing us where everything was, making us feel welcome and suggesting things to do and places to visit! I’d recommend this place to anyone looking to relax and spend some quality time with someone. We felt like we were on holiday even though this cottage was only 1hour away from home. Will definitely be going back.

We spent a lovely week in Gareth’s property while we were working in the area. It had all the features we needed, and even with a few WiFi hiccups it was all resolved in the end. Gareth was easy to contact with prompt responses. He went out of his way to enable our stay to be the best it could

We had a lovely stay, and with it being our first 'off the grid' stay, and neither of us being particularly into camping, we weren't sure what to expect! In reality, we didn't go without too many home comforts. The cabin is cosy and homely, and once we'd got a fire going we were lovely and warm. The bed was super comfy, and the batteries provided were enough to keep charge in our phones. We were able to explore a little and walk into the woodland and down to the river, and it was honestly the break we needed. Having a cup of tea on the bench as the sun rose was honestly a highlight. It was so peaceful and lovely to get away from it all. Thank you for a lovely stay, would definitely recommend.

Perfect place to stay at in South Wales. It has eveything which says on the box with no small prints! Thank you for having us!

Enjoyed our stay here with our dog. Felt very homely, well appointed and just enough space for us. Easy to access, Just off the main road, but felt really secluded and had lots of space. Quick and easy to reach all of the local beaches. Not much within walking distance from the door as we perhaps would like usually, though we were able to do a 1 mile loop with the dog each morning. Footpaths for longer walks seemed non existent, hard to find or knee deep mud. Might be a different story in the summer and it would be nice to recommend any nice routes, if there are any, though an OS map and Gower walking guide are provided. There’s no Wi-Fi, not an issue for us as phone signal was good, but maybe needs to be clearer in the description .

Lovely little chalet a short stroll from Caswell Bay beach. Stunning scenery and lots of nice dog walks. Dog friendly beach out of season. Chalet was compact but had most things we needed (could do with a hair dryer, shower mat and a bottle opener). The sofa and beds were really comfortable. Lovely and clean and would definitely visit again. Other than the beach there isn’t a huge amount in walking distance, but we did walk to Mumbles and back which was a lovely walk along the cliff top.

The cabin was a lovely little cosy cabin with a comfortable bed down by the river. Great for chilling out over a weekend visit.

The most beautiful stay for my partner’s birthday and in a fantastic location for climbers at Dinas Rock. Danielle had decorated the place beautifully for the celebration with wine and chocolates. The lodge is absolutely stunning with amazing added extras including the heated blanket which was perfect as I am someone who is always cold! The hot tub was an absolute treat we were in there for hours! As animal lovers meeting all the furry friends really topped off the stay. Thank you so much for having us. We will surely return for our next climbing adventure.

We had such a lovely stay here, lovely area with lots of beautiful views. Amazing amenities of a hot tub and sauna. Clear instructions on how to get there and work everything. I loved how everything was labeled, Steve was really helpful in making sure we got in ok and had everything we needed. We loved it and I’ll be returning in the future! Thanks Steve

Kim and Neil were the perfect hosts and made me feel incredibly welcome during my stay. The accommodation had everything I needed and served as a fantastic base for walking in the Welsh Hills. I’m particularly grateful to them for supporting my booking at such short notice after another host had let me down, so thanks to them. I was able to still enjoy my trip. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the area and certainly look forward to coming back again soon.

Truly enjoyed our weekend getaway here. Sam was an exceptional host and very responsive. We checked in quite late and it was already dark, Sam was kind enough to leave the kitchen lights on! He also gave us clear instructions with great recommendations to visit. The hot tub also didn’t disappoint and we were able to see the sunset. The cabin is placed in a peaceful and serene surroundings despite having a next door neighbor. It was also fun to see some horses! We will definitely visit again next time!

Afan valley has nearby a beautiful coastline, wild mountains and lush forest. The cabin was made of real wood inside and out, very cosey with a great view from the balcony and the luxurious hot tub next door. On sunny days we hit the beaches near Swansea (Mumbles and Gower) for yellow sands and rocky islands to explore by kayak. Afan is a mecca for off road cycling, and from the cabin, 5 awesome mountain bike trails began, catering to riders of all ability, from fun loops for my 8 year old, to challenging jumps in the bike park. Tasha's Pizza shack opens on Friday and Saturday for delicious homemade Pizza The Cafe on site ran by our hosts Jenna and Rob, with great pub food and a bar with fine Welsh ales. My kids loved the unusual ice cream flavours. We had all we needed - well equipped kitchen, Wifi and TV, hot shower, all bedding provided and clean and tidy throughout. It's a short drive into Neath for supermarkets or nice local pubs. Can't recommend this hidden gem enough!

Delightful comfortable cabin in lovely location on farm. Very clean. Well decorated and maintained. Some lovely welcoming features which were appreciated. The only reason we would probably not return next year is the distance from the centre of Porthcawl where we need to or at least to public transport be as we prefer not to drive each day but for anyone happy with driving it would be very convenient.
