The location is perfect when wanting to see the whalesharks. You can see the boats when looking outside the window. At the same time it’s quiet and clean - overall it „does the job“. The greatest advantage is Luigi organizing the whaleshark sighting, which made us skip the line - very convenient. The only slight downside: our toilet was broken and we had to flush with a small bucket. But that was just a minor inconvenience and did not compromise the overall experience. Def recommended!

Tolle ruhige Oase mit Zugang zum Meer. Es gibt dort eine kleine, tolle Auswahl an Frühstück und Dinner. Alle waren dort sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Sehr zu empfehlen. Wir hoffen bald wieder zu Besuch zu sein.

The short: Nice and comfy, gated place to stay in moalboal. Worth its value especially compared to other places in the area.. There are some bugs, to be expected in this type of environment but they didnt bother me at all, but I wouldnt stay here if you’re squeamish about a few ants in some corners. Host also transparent, responsive, and friendly. I’d stay here again. A bit more detail: - Compound is in a private/wooded area but a close enough 5 min. drive to restaurants/shops - Directions were made clear in advance making it easy to find even at 11pm - Self check in was a breeze - Beds and sheets were spacious, impeccably clean, and plushy/cloud comfortable - AC/fan was ice cold - Bathroom also clean and shower was spacious w/ sufficient water pressure. Here is where I saw some bugs but they were just minding their business. - Amazing water view in the back with direct access to the water - Also has small restaurant on site

The Huts are beautiful, it’s peaceful and quiet. Great ocean front view! The staff are amazing, they cook really good! If you have any questions or need anything, the staff will definitely help you out. I’ll definitely rebook this place!

This is a very nice place to stay if you are looking for a budget friendly yet very accessible to public market, mall, and church. The host is very accommodating, also his family. Very clean and spacious. They always took initiative to their guests. I highly recommend this place. Looking forward to stay longer next times. Will come back for sure.

Just wanna say, INCREDIBLE PLACE! a hidden gem in southern cebu! if you're planning to do a southern cebu tour or waterfalls hopping or just staycation with yourself, partner, friends or family, this place is so beautiful and worth it! The price is cheap considering its clear water beach, no people at all, very friendly staffs, free breakfast, free kayaking and snorkeling and all other things 🥹 I wish my boyfriend is with me during my 3 days stay, he will love it here 🥹 I actually wanna gatekeep this place so its still gonna be a hidden gem but I also don't wanna be selfish 🤣 I will be back for sure and I will bring my boyfriend and family with me 🥹 I don't wanna go home but its time to go home 🥹 Take note: For food options, there's not a lot, there's just Lucky 99rs near for value meals and their food is okay. There's also some bbqs at night by the road. There are locals whose ready to cook for you fresh fish or seafood anytime ❤️

Location! To see the whale sharks, Hecel's place is great. It is located off the road, with a community front yard and just steps from a nearly private beach. It seemed like only locals new about this spot and after the whale sharks closed, we (2 adults/2 kids 10&8) had the beach to ourselves. Luigi's help makes this stay ideal for those who don't want to book a tour and have to drive in the middle of the night. He takes care of the whale shark bookings and helps you get in the morning to meet your time slot. We would not have been able to book it without his help! We stayed for 3 nts/2 days, and got to see the whales sharks twice because we stayed here! A few things that didn't meet "normal" American standards, but not a big issue: a leaking bidet faucet, ceiling paint falling down, a rusty bathroom door knob so you didn't want to fully shut the door, and the TV had one channel. The wifi was great for device streaming. Also, it is noisy in the morning, but is common around Cebu.

The place was worth it to stay in. It was nice and cozy. There are a lot of beds to accommodate me and my friends. Also, the necessities were provided. The host was easy to communicate with and the caretakers were there to help us check in.
