Her: Because of the dogs and the pool So yes, our kids (aged 6 and 8) absolutely loved this place. It has a very cool and unique design. Great access to the beach and pool. And very convenient access to the Liquid Dive resort next door (we liked going there for breakfast).

We enjoyed our stay at Descansa. It was true to its name and tagline, "rest with us", as we were really able to do so. The place was comfortable for our family of 7 (we stayed at both the Mezzanine and Casa Siesta); it was peaceful, with the beach fronting the property and greenery all around. Phoebe was very responsive and resolved a minor issue for us promptly, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant was absolutely delicious (we tried almost everything on the menu). A very thoughtful touch were the holiday baskets provided for us. Since Descansa has a restaurant, expect resto goers to come and go though during their operating hours. Nevertheless, would stay again and definitely recommend!

Fuego Island was good value for money. Although we would have paid a bit more for more comfort. For example, the room was big enough for comfortable chairs to sit and read. It was clean, the AC was cold (a great relief after being out in the sun) and the toilet was very spacious. The only issue there was the water pressure. But maybe it was due to lack of water supply due to the drought. One thing we really liked was that the place was walking distance from Tubod Marine Sanctuary, where we snorkelled every morning. The Friday Music Night was also pleasant and relaxing. Great stay overall.

It was hectic to find the place during check in because it was like a private compound, but the room was just at the garage part of the last house on the left side. I hope there’s a sign they’ll put next time so the other guests will know. Also, we really thought it was a 1 BR room because of the angle of the photos but it was a studio type. The induction cooker was also cracked so we were kinda scared to use it at first. Just a suggestion to the owner though to buy a new induction cooker and some pots or pans as well. Overall, location was great if most of your trips are going to Valencia by motorbike or trike. It’s also near the public market, sari-sari stores and a 7/11. They were also very kind to let us check in early once we arrived. Thank you!

Our stay at Miss Marites' Airbnb in Dumaguete was absolutely wonderful. Despite our late arrival, Miss Marites was incredibly responsive and made our check-in process seamless. The property is a haven of peace and tranquility, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy our time there. The surroundings are serene, and the atmosphere is perfect for unwinding. Everything was spotless and well-maintained. We truly appreciated the warm hospitality and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing escape in Dumaguete.

Good value for money, would recommend
