I had an amazing time staying with Milan. Milan really makes sure you become a part of her family. They are warm and generous - happy to chat with you as much or as little as you want. I only stayed a few nights but feel I got to know them really well and hung out with them a lot. For a tourist, it’s a great way to experience Nepal and understand it better than you otherwise would. Milan provides two meals a day; one of these is a delicious dinner that is better than any Nepali food you can find in Pokhara’s restaurants! Milan’s homestay is located in the “real” Pokhara (i.e. where locals actually live), so it is ideal if you want to experience a true flavour of a Nepali city. Having said that, transport links to the more touristy lakeside are good: Milan’s family will always be happy to book you a taxi, you can take a direct bus, or download the excellent Patau app (a sort of Nepali Uber that offers taxis and cheaper scooters) if you have a Nepali SIM card. Milan has a washing machine which guests are free to use. This is ideal if you have a longish stay in Pokhara, or if you are going to/returning from a trek. Reliably hot showers are another bonus. The house itself and the room you will be staying are really nice and comfortable. I would highly recommend Milan’s homestay - I will never forget my time with her and hope to be back soon. Arjun’s place is very nice and quiet, a bit out Scott of Kathmandu in a fresh area area. It’s the best place for long term staying. The room has everything you need and there are important Buddhist sites in walking distance. Arjun and his family are so very hospitable. The microbus leaves for city center just 5 minutes walk from the house. I will keep going to stay with them in future too. Highly recommended Best wishes Dil

我們是香港遊客，來尼泊爾首站是加德滿都，在暄鬧的城市來到Community Homestay，恍如走進天堂。 房子簡潔舒適，打開房門便是露台式的走廊，倚著欄桿，便可看見皓白的雪山！步上一層吃早點，看著雪山用餐，和燕子穿梭飛舞，人生幾何。 主人一家待我們如家人般，和我們一同製作晚飯、收割嫩葉餵飼牛羊，穿上民族服裝拍照，讓我們體驗當地的生活。 晚上走上天台，滿天都是星，在城市中光亮的獵戶座往往成為主角，但在這裏，它只是上千顆星星的其中一員。 還有很多難以一一訴說，要來親身感受當中的愉悅。 這個Homestay，地理位置得天獨厚，早餐地點抬頭就可望到雪山，另一邊則是顏色鮮明的民居和滿眼不同層次綠的山景。 踏進來的路，就看到主人富心思的花草圍欄，房內乾淨，蓋的毯子軟而厚，有太陽的味道。 主人讓我們融進他們的日常生活，教煮當地食品，拉牛奶罐做牛油，上山體驗割草，席地而坐吃飯等，本來還有歌舞體驗，因家人病了就沒有參與。 日夜溫差大，家人是夜半醒來喝自己之前的涼水出事。戶主知道他發燒，特地煮熱茶，晚上又給我們大熱水壼，很貼心。 之後還在早餐後給我們當地民族服和飾物，幫我們裝扮，送走前又做了當地送別儀式，給我們戴上花環、佩帶、帽子等。 光是閒坐的自然風景，已值得再去，更別說供餐的蔬菜很多是戶主自己種的，調味很好，水果雖不是自種，但很甜，連我這平日不喜蘋果的人，都多吃了。這裡簡單而偏素的三餐，連腸胃都養得好些，難怪有外國遊客會選擇長住一個半個月。

It was pleasure staying at Beganus lake, the traditional home made Napalease food were awesome especially the barbeque fish. Bishwo's restaurant and the property is just at the bank of the lake having plenty of greeneries around. Bishwo's and his spouse Versha were very hospitable and ensured putting all of us at ease and comfort. Even Versha found out time from her tight schedule and took us for a local sightseeing. We will definitely look forward again staying at their place if get a chance visiting Beganus lake. I rate my overall experience at their place is excellent.

My heart (and my belly) are so full! Thank you Aashish, Suju & Ama for allowing me to feel right at home. The vibes were right with the hosts and guests. Recommendations were great! Accommodation was amazing. I’d have happily paid 3 or 4x more and I’ll definitely be back!

It was a peaceful stay , our Host was really helpful always, we asked for Dinner and they prepared it really well it was tasty will recommend if you want to get some taste of Nepali’s home food you can always ask they will be happy to provide. The area is little far from Shree Pashupatinath Temple and main area but connected with bus and other transport services the bus stand in walking distance. Their place is really neat and clean . It was a wonderful stay in (Battisputali) Kathmandu. I visited with my family (7 members). Actually Google map will divert you by route to find the location but the Host was responsive enough on phone so you will find the location easily. Pasupatinath temple is on walking distance. Local shopping is also nearby (5-6km). overall enjoyed staying here.

We have had an amazing stay at Kathmandu Mega Appartement, which is perfectly located with many things to do nearby. Thakur was a great and thoughtful host, making us decide to add a few more nights here after traveling around Nepal.

Uma was very accommodating, she communicated well with us and was very welcoming. We felt right at home being able to cook in the kitchen and visit with family in the area. Would stay here again when in Kathmandu

The apartment is great, very clean, really spacious and we had our own kitchen. It's not too far from the centre (Thamel) but far away enough to feel a bit more peaceful! We were very grateful to be looked after by Kalpana when we fell sick, she cooked us some lovely breakfasts and dinners and got us some medicines etc. Ram and Kalpana have a lovely family and we enjoyed being invited up to share food and see the children. We would recommend to stay here 100%. Thanks again Ram and Kalpana!

Amazing place- everything is outstanding: the view, the hospitality, Fatima's food, the vibe... it is really one of a kind. What a luxury in nowdays world to be able to disconnect from frenzy, immerse in such devine nature and be surrounded by a pristine environment. Highly recommended to the adventurers and to anyone in search of peace. it is a life changing experience !

We had an amazing time at Babu's and Belku's homestay. They welcomed us as part of their family from the first day, offering help and advice with any issues we encountered, organizing trekking (day and week-long), and taking us with them for local festivities. They had great internet, video calls worked very well. The rooms had great views across the mountains next door or the green hill sides of Kirtipur and were exceptionally clean. We spent a lot of time reading and relaxing on one of the balconies or the big sun terrace. Before our trip we were hesitant whether staying with a local family would be too intense but we are so glad we decided to do so. You are free to move in the homestay as if it was your home, engaging with the family as much or as little as you want, but trust us you will look very much forward to participating in the family life, learning how to cook as amazingly as Belku does, learning Nepali with Babu, or just talking about everyday life with them. This is our second time in Nepal and only now we feel like we have experienced it for real. The deep insights into Nepali culture, cuisine, and daily life we got in this homestay you cannot get when staying in Thamel. You can visit Kathmandu with a short taxi ride but we were always glad to escape the busy city to the relaxing green rice fields of Kirtipur. It is not overstated to say our stay was a lifetime experience. We greatly recommend to stay with Babu, Belkin, and Aayush.

I stayed one month at the apartment. It is in a great location, remote from the main roads noise and dust. The room is very clean, it is exactly like in the pictures. The internet is fast, breakfast is great, it is a really nice place to stay if you visit Kathmandu, I would recommend it to anyone.

Dipendra and his family were very welcoming. They were so nice to me from the beginning to the end of my stay. I was so happy that they welcome me during Covid-19 while many other places were closed and some were not willing to host guest but Dipendra and his family let me to stay there during my trip. Their place is very close to the fewa lake and good view of lake, mountain and paddy farm. Restaurant are in walking distance and they provide very delicious food too. Most of the time i ate with them as they were so friendly and helpful. WiFi was very fast and very good hot shower 🚿. Highly recommend Bishnu Homestay

Sunita's homestay was just incredible. We had a really great time, good and lots of local food and warm blankets. Sunita and her son showed us around and we did day hikes to the surrounding villages. We really felt at home and didn't want to leave Maybe good to know: Either you have to take a jeep to Manang (around 7 hours and 30 dollars per person) or you plan to stay there during your Annapurna circuit. The village lies on 3500 m and I would bring enough cash and warm clothes. We took the jeep from beshi shahar and had incredible views. Also be ready to enjoy some days without wifi (they do have it but only in some places and it doesn't work so well). But honestly if you stay in such a location, you should enjoy the smartphone free days. In addition, you should be ready for a bucket-shower which also didn't bother us. It all contributed to an authentic local experience. Lastly, the prices are a bit more expensive in the village, if you eat lunch, so also be prepared for that.

We had such a blissful time at Milla Guesthouse - It was our first holiday together as a new family, with our 9 month old son, and it couldn't have been more perfect. The guesthouse is gorgeous, and our lovely room had everything we needed - we particularly enjoyed sitting up on the roof terrace and watching the sun set over the valley. I travel internationally a lot for work and this was the best guesthouse i have ever stayed at. My husband and I also loved chatting with Laxman dai and Sanu aunty, who were so warm and welcoming. They made us feel incredibly comfortable and took so much care playing with our son. We really appreciated it! We can't wait to come back again.
