We have just returned from a stay in this wonderful barn. Pictures don’t do it justice. It’s even more beautiful than the pictures show. Great location and really peaceful. The children loved seeing the chickens and horses. Great location and would definitely recommend for families wanting to go to Whitby , Dalby Forest and the little village of Thornton Le Dale with its lovely cafes.

Great stay, stopped with my kids who are mostly teens, they didn’t want to leave! Plenty of room for us all to spread out, very spacious! Convenient for city centre, shops, train station etc Would definitely stop again, many thanks! Host left us sweets and staples which was a lovely touch.

We had such a lovely weekend! The cottage is beautiful and cosy. It is super clean and has more than you could ever ask for! Lots of lovely little touches throughout the cottage. Its location was perfect for wandering around Masham, and although it’s right next to the road it was so so peaceful! We all had a wonderful sleep in the super comfy beds. We could of quite happily moved in here forever 💖 Would highly recommend and absolutely would not hesitate to book here again. Beautiful beautiful cottage ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thanks so much 🩷

Amy and Oliver - I actually have no words for how amazing this place was! I first put it in my wishlist a long while back and somehow stumbled upon it again to stay for the first time this weekend. My family and I were completely amazed at absolutely everything - every detail and the handiwork you have both put into this place is just immaculate. I’m so grateful I was able to find this place - it was so homely, so clean, absolutely stunning, the most equipped place we’ve stayed in and so much more. My only complaint is that we wish we stayed LONGER! I hope you will continue to keep your home open as it’s an amazing place to stay - we hope to be back (and perhaps with others who haven’t been blessed to see it yet). Thank you for everything you supplied us with this weekend - we were fascinated by everything and we are still talking about the home now that we’re home! LOVED our stay! Beautiful accommodation, surroundings and wonderful animals! Loved our highland cow experience and afternoon tea, loved meeting the goats and sheep also! The hosts were lovely, Cat was so helpful and said to text if we needed anything. The fussy wagon was absolutely beautiful, we loved every minute of our stay and think this will be a yearly trip now! My second time staying in Petra’s beautiful home and I can’t wait to return. It is a home away from home. It is beautiful and peaceful with gentle birdsong throughout. Petra is kind and considerate and attentive. This is an ideal location if your travels have brought you to Wakefield or you need a base for a smooth commute to Leeds. The photos and descriptions are exactly as you will find in the property. There is off road parking at the end of a long driveway, right by the gate to the annex. Walking distance from a corner shop, pubs, co-op local, fish and chip shop, local library and a pharmacy. Short drive from a local train station and 10-15 walk to a bus stop that serves an express route to Leeds. I cannot recommend Petra’s gorgeous home enough and I look forward to returning again soon x

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful Airbnb! The home was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable weekend, including logs for the fireplace and plush towels. The layout was perfect, with three spacious bedrooms and three full bathrooms (two with showers and one with a bathtub), which made it feel extra luxurious. Although the weather didn’t cooperate—there was a cold windstorm and constant rain, which kept us indoors and made the hot tub unusable—we still thoroughly enjoyed our time. The house made staying in a delight, and we look forward to returning in the spring or summer to fully enjoy the outdoor spaces and hot tub. The location was great as well, with a charming local pub nearby that we visited on Friday evening. Overall, it was a lovely experience, and we absolutely plan to book again in the future!
