What an absolute gem of a little getaway, Fiona is a great host and the shepherds hut is absolutely perfect for what we needed. The addition of homemade bread, milk, butter and jam in the fridge is such a lovely and thoughtful touch. Nothing will prepare you for how big and relaxing the hot tub is, we absolutely loved sitting in it and listening to the wildlife. The hut is really private and has its own little garden, we had breakfast lunch and dinner outside as we were so lucky with the weather! We will absolutely be back, thank you for having us!

We didn't want to return home as we had had the perfect stay. This lovely little shepherd's hut surrounded by beautiful farmlands, was just what we'd hoped for and it didn't disappoint! Our hosts Peter and Rachel, were very responsive to our needs, although, gave us our privacy and let us explore the surrounding areas. The hut had lots of little touches to it that made it feel homely and cute, although, functional and great use of a small space. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the hut had heating, wifi and a range of options on the tv after a tiring day of adventures! Excellent stay, would absolutely return, thank you! We really enjoyed our stay. The hut has beautiful surroundings which we enjoyed from the hot tub. We walked to a cafe and then drove into the local town and went to a really nice pub. The hut was clean and had everything we needed. Thanks Fiona 😊

We really enjoyed our stay here! Our dogs absolutely loved the space and it was perfect for them to really stretch their legs. The cabin was super cozy, we stayed during a bit of a temperature drop so it was around -3 at night but the log burner was so warm we didn't even need a jumper on! Along with the temperature drop came some snow and we actually ended up getting stuck on the hill on toward the entrance but Mark answered his phone immediately and rushed down in his Land Rover to give us a tow up and nothing was too much to ask, we felt super accommodated. Thanks again :)

Me and five friends spend New Year’s Eve at Fiona’s huts and we had the most amazing time. The place is even better than what you see in the pictures. It’s cozy, comfortable and well equipped. Fiona has been a completely star, helping us with transport and more. Hopefully we will come back!

We booked this lovely place on a whim and without much research because the photos looked nice. It did not disappoint, the setting was lovely, it was in a secluded bit of the garden but felt very private with a nice outlook. The hut was cleverly designed and very cosy. Sitting on the front porch with a cup of tea was wonderfully tranquil. The best part of the trip was the evening meal prepared by Sarah (at a small extra cost). She set this up for us in the summer house and it was as delicious as the setting was perfect. We only stayed one night and we were permitted to leave our car on the driveway whilst we explored the local area. We went for a stroll in the local woods and fields, the secluded nature of the village suited us very well. Highly recommended for a romantic mini-break. Thank you so much to Sarah and Frank.

My partner and I spent an idyllic few days in one of Madeleine's Shepherd's Huts. Everything was perfect for us, from the small kitchen to the wood burning stove, the bathroom to the sweet 'cubby hole' bedroom. We walked out daily and returned home t a warm, welcoming space (underfloor heating!). Neighbours in the other hut were close but entirely unobtrusive. Would happily return.

To start with, the location is stunning surrounded by nature, birds chirping,Tall trees, beautiful sunsets, so peaceful and cosy overall. Our Dog Cookie loved playing and exploring the fenced area. Sue was very welcoming, the hut was kept clean and warm with the heater turned on for our visit, along with some fudge and an apple drink🤤. As recommended we visited, The makers space and The cheese shed, they were good spots to grab some food. Overall we had a great time, and would definitely recommend it to everyone.

I booked this place as a birthday treat outing for my special one. I love this place so muchhh, we played with chickens, their pets gave us hugs😃! A dreamy place, we did a lot just in one day stay. We did book hot tub, which is worth every penny 💎👌🏽! We don’t drive, we reached their easily via public transport on weekend days, their place got good transport connections! Logement cosy et confortable, parfait pour notre visite à Goodwood. (Nous étions assez peu présents à la cabane) Literie au top. Le logement est petit mais agencé de manière fonctionnelle. Très bonne communication avec Victoria qui est adorable et réactive dans les échanges. Nous recommandons !

Before our trip I had asked the host if they could provide us with a box of chocolates for my partner and I for our anniversary and when going to pay they demanded that it was a treat on them. This is just a small act of kindness that we received whilst here at this stay. They were very responsive, and helped us with some recommendations about the local area and things to do. I really appreciated their warming welcome and this made the trip really enjoyable. The place is absolutely spotless and comes fully equipped with all sorts of utilities such as kitchen equipment that allowed us to cook multiple meals, an indoor fire to keep warm during autumn, and a large outdoor area to sit outside and take in the fresh local country side air. The whole place had been crafted by hand from the host and you can really appreciate the attention to detail. It’s very cosy and felt like home. We recently stayed at Andreas Shepherd's Hut in Cruxton, and it was a delightful experience. Nestled in a serene rural setting, the hut offers an idyllic escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The accommodation was charmingly rustic yet comfortably modern and the interior was well-appointed with thoughtful touches that made it feel cosy and welcoming. The bed was really comfortable and the small kitchenette was equipped with everything needed for a self-catering stay which we made the most of both mornings and evenings. The hut's location was perfect. Surrounded by apple trees and rolling hills, it's ideal for leisurely walks, relaxing outside with the fire pit or enjoying the private space alongside the river. The lack of light pollution in the area allowed us to view the Milky Way when stargazing one evening which was the perfect addition to our stay. Andrea was super accommodating, ensuring that everything was in order and even dropped off a homemade Dorset apple cake!

Had a lovely stay at John and Joan's cabin. Great location with some lovely walks onto the doorstep. Felt very rural but still within easy reach of the local amenities. Wood fired hot tub a real highlight! Would recommend.

We had an amazing time at Chloe's cabin, it was such a peaceful and beautiful setting. The little touches, like pre-heating the hot tub, and providing us with a little breakfast hamper were really appreciated. We would highly recommend staying here for a nice relaxing break!

Amazing stay, 5 stars!!! We immediately felt right at home as soon as we got there, the cozy hut had everything we could’ve asked for, they really thought of it all! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again!

We love staying at Hut on the Heath. Private with a beautiful view in wonderful nature surroundings. Waking up to roaming deer, breakfast outside and cosy fire evenings after a days full of walking, seaside tripping and castle exploring. We’d love to visit again soon.

Where to start!! Jayne was an amazing host. From the moment you arrive at the blue hut, to leaving. You felt completely relaxed and happy. Jayne had left some bubbles, marshmallows and biscuits to make s’mores which was 10/10. My boyfriend and I loved the stay! All the amenities you could ask for from the hot tub to the bbq, farm shop down the road and the amazing views. The bed was so comfortable and the shower/ bathroom was spotless! We would both really recommend Jayne and the stay at the blue hut! Thank you Jayne!
