Rose's apartment ticked all the boxes for our recent stay in Newcastle. The apartment was pristine clean, light filled and very comfortable. And its location is the best in Newcastle, with short walks to Darby St, Bar Beach, Hunter Street and the Cricketers Arms literally just around the corner (a bonus surprise and perfect for that relaxing post activity schooner in the afternoon). As regular interstate visitors to Newcastle we have stayed in Port Stephens, Merewether, Honeysuckle and Hunter Street but Cooks Hill generally and Rose's apartment specifically is the pick of Newcastle locations. It is also simple and easy to get to from Newcastle Airport. Thank you Rose for allowing us to stay in your lovely apartment and we have now found our 'go to' apartment for our future stays, of which there will be many.

Incredible location, great air BnB. We were able to walk down to the beach, were overwhelmed by the walkable breakfast options and discovered a new go-to for beers and good food (Falcon). We loved making this little air BnB our home for the weekend. Thanks for having us Warwick and Newy!

We stayed here for two nights to wrap up our two-week holiday, and it was truly the cherry on top! The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the room was beautifully laid out and spotless—such a perfect place to end our adventure. The hosts were fantastic—so friendly and easy to communicate with, making our stay even more enjoyable. Just a little heads-up: Newcastle is quite hilly, so while the walk down to the cafes and beach is a breeze, the trek back up is a bit of a workout—but we didn’t mind the extra exercise! Also, the little basket of snacks and cereal you get was the cutest touch. We were too busy being tourists and eating out to enjoy it, but it was such a thoughtful detail. Honestly, we couldn’t fault a thing. Thank you for making the end of our trip so wonderful!

Bianca's apartment was gorgeous. It had everything we needed plus! The mood created with decorative lamps, plants and luxurious fabrics was warm and inviting. The bed and linen, beautiful to look at and sleeping was a dream. We really enjoyed the privacy of the balcony, it was like another room of the apartment. Comfortable and again lots of plants and special fabrics and cushions. We walked everywhere, watched huge container ships coming into the port. Lots to see, beaches, historical buildings and lots of areas to walk or ride along. Restaurants & coffee shops and of course, unique boutiques and retro shops to explore. We would definitely stay there again.

My partner and I stayed for three nights in this air bnb and had the best time. The unit has amazing views and is in an awesome location. We thoroughly enjoyed waking up here and will definitely be back.

Treat yourself!! The attention to detail at this place is off the chart. The design, and decorations are superb, on top of a modern well equipped stay. The little gifts and treats just make a guest feel so welcome. On a practical front everything you need for a long stay and a secure garage. I have to recommend this one. It's on a hill, that's how you get the great view.

Maree’s place was just what us as a couple needed. Newly refurbished but felt homely and was beautifully decorated. The kitchen was stocked with everything you would need to cook and enjoy the experience. The outdoor area was large and had glimpses of the water. A small walk took you to the lake. Maree supplied snacks, breakfast and fruit and other staples that we were not expecting and were very grateful for. The bed was really comfortable and ceiling fans kept us cool as well. Mike was an amazing host! He was responsive and kind enough to assist with early check in on the day. The space itself is exactly as shown in the pictures. Amazing facilities offered by the building+the location! Highly recommend.

We spent the long weekend at Kylie’s place to attend a family wedding at Redleaf at Wollimbi. The house was perfect for our group of 11 adults ! It also gave us great peace of mind that we could bring our dogs with us . The beds and bedding were super comfy, and we had plenty of space in the living, kitchen area. It was great being able to fit us all around the large dining table for meals and playing games. There were a few minor details that could have been addressed to boost guest comfort : the grass in the backyard was high and hadn’t been mowed for a while and there were not enough places to hang 11 bath towels…. Hooks in the bedrooms would have been handy. Over all it was a very comfortable house to stay at and boosted our enjoyment of our busy weekend catching up with family.

We truly enjoyed our stay. The house and view were just amazing.. very kids friendly with plenty of toys and lovely trampolim. Our kids had the best time. Easy walk to the beach beautiful location and host was very accomodating of our needs. Will definitely be back. Thank you

We had a wonderful stay! Ola and Barn truly thought of every detail, making our experience so much more enjoyable. The kids’ room was a highlight—complete with a toy box full of hours of entertainment! We even had beautiful Christmas decorations throughout the house that made the holiday extra special. It felt like they went above and beyond to create a welcoming, thoughtful space for our entire family. The kitchen was stocked with everything we could possibly need, from all sorts of plates and dishes for our antipasto platter to even the tiniest things you might forget—like a screwdriver! We were so grateful for that, especially when we realized we needed it to add batteries to the kids’ Christmas presents. The little touches made all the difference, and it felt like the hosts were truly invested in ensuring we had a perfect stay. We can’t wait to return and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, thoughtful, and well-equipped getaway! Thank you Ola & Barn!

Enjoyed our stay. Parked the car up and didn’t use it for three days. House was comfortable and the location perfect. Great places to eat and get coffee around every corner. Proximity to the beach was great too!
