Jason and Scott are truly Great hosts. Their cottage is amazingly lovely, clean, with a wonderful view and complete amenities. All we need are readily and conveniently available. Instructions are clear, and the place is indeed very guest-friendly. We had a homey and very special experience. The SPA is also a great deal and the view is breathtaking. We will be back, and hopefully longer stay. Thanks to them for sharing their place; we, as a family, just made another priceless memory.

Some of the other reviews are so harsh - this place is accurately described and you know what you’re getting when you book. In fact, when we arrived it surpassed our expectations completely. There aren’t really pictures of the bathroom facilities which had us worried but it’s really smart and modern with a proper shower cubicle with nice hot water and great water pressure and a separate modern toilet. We loved all the quirky antiques which kept us entertained. The grounds on which the carousel sits are beautiful - there are seats, tables, benches and a huge lawn and you can even play table tennis in the beautiful conservatory. Really well located in Te Anau - very easy to get places.

Such a fun, quirky place with an amazing view! :-) We had a lovely time staying in the wagon and watching the llamas, can happily recommend.

A peaceful retreat away from everything. The glamping tent was in a private paddock away from the main house. It had everything we needed to cook, from burners to a BBQ. We had access to a private part of a river right next to the tent. The stars were glorious and lit by an almost full moon. Sally and Ian were wonderful hosts, very welcoming and full of local knowledge. The stay is in a handy location for the Coroglen Tavern as well as Hahei Beach. Highly recommended!

Simply a special place. Disigned for watching the sky change colour at sunset. Opening up the windows to bring the outside in is a treat. The fire place would have been a awesome for the evenings but this summer everything was dry and the region had a fire ban. Will have to come back and try again. Quiet & private. A couple of Eastern Rosells birds joined me for my morning coffee daily.

Eine besondere eingerichtete Unterkunft. Es gibt genug Platz und alles ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Arielle und ihr Mann haben uns viele Tipp gegeben, um die Zeit dort zu genießen und die Umgebung zu erkunden. uns hat es sehr gut gefallen.

This was a sporadic trip to which we booked a day earlier. Zoe was prompt in her responses, provided precise directions on how to find the place and the scenery from both the beach and eastury was incredible. We absolutely loved the clamping tent, it has now ruined traditional camping for us 😉 we are already looking at dates for when we can return. Thank you Zoe!!

We had an incredible stay at Hidden Gem, Whanarua Bay. This spacious place truly exceeded our expectations. The accommodation was clean, equipped with everything we needed, outdoors bath delightful touch, fabulous bbq area, pizza oven, brazier, washing machine a great convenience, toilet and shower facilities made the stay even more comfortable. The setting is safe, secure and perfect environment for relaxation and rejuvenation. Immersed in breathtaking views of nature in complete tranquility, such a peaceful and scenic spot from the hustle and bustle. Thank you so much Alistair (down to earth, great communication, responsive host) and siblings for sharing your family paradise. Highly recommend! We definitely will return.

I would so book The Kowhai Retreat again. Its perfect! It was even more perfect to stay after our wedding 😍 Its private with beautiful views!

This little RV on the hill exceeded our expectations - with stunning views, warm outdoor baths and everything we needed for a weekends stay, we could not have had a better experience here! The photos don’t do this place enough justice!

This Airbnb was absolutely perfect! It was the perfect little taste of glamping. We had beautiful views of rolling hills and could stargaze from the spa. It was incredibly peaceful and comfortable. I would definitely recommend and would 100% stay again.

Fantastic spot to stay near Takaka - the caravan is beautiful and comfortable! Robynne and her husband are lovely hosts and we very much enjoyed our stay here. Will definitely be looking to book here again next time we visit Golden Bay!

Absolutely gorgeous caravan right on the beach which meant we had an amazing sunrise right on our doorstep, which is worth the stay just for that experience alone! Other than that the amenities were all spotless and labelled clearly on how to use with thoughtful extras like tea and coffee left for us. All round lovely stay

Fabulous pod, very clean, comfortable bed and great shower. Lovely campsite on the beach, excellent sunset photos. Great pizza van in the evening if required. Fantastic stay and would highly recommend a visit.

The whole experience was great! Amazing views, perfect for a weekend getaway! Couldn’t get enough of the view! The location is perfect, close to a bigger town and the main beaches in the area. Sally was an amazing host as well 😊 Strongly recommend!

This tiny home was such a treat to stay at. It felt so peaceful and private. The pets that roam around are all very cute and sweet. It really is like another little world and the surroundings of the property are gorgeous. Having the beautiful springs just down the road was awesome as well we’re able to see them easily on our way back to Nelson. Lolly and Simon have really made this place so cozy and I’m so happy that we found this little gem.

We felt so comfortable and well looked after and appreciated the privacy and all the extra things you've had prepared. In reality, this place looks even better! We can highly recommend this accommodation and will definitely tell friends about it.

This was the most special place we stayed in our 3 week journey around NZ. The location next to the babbling brook next to the rolling hills of sheep and grass are what fairytales are made of. Breakfast was lovely. A great place to stay if you plan to hike tongariro. This place is worth the price, highly recommend.

Christine was a wonderful host. So friendly and very welcoming off the bat. Her cat was super friendly and adorable too. The place is exactly as described, and the pictures do it justice. It is an adorable little cabin, with the most beautiful dahlias.
