Beautiful property! We'd love to move in! I loved the open-air living concept that blended the living room right into that epic deck. Tip for travelers who aren't accustomed to coastal living - book a 2-night stay or check the tide schedule if you'd like to take advantage of paddle boards etc to play on the water, since the landscape and access to water (and your view from the property) changes as the tide goes in and out. Appreciated the great communication with our host and would love to stay for longer next time!

Mark’s AirBnB is an experience rather than a stay. Is a combination of coastal rural Nz right on the doorstep (short boat ride away) from a bustling town Raglan where there are 5 star restaurants, super markets and everything you would need or expect. And the accomodation itself is nestled on a cliff top with 180 views of the harbour and if Raglan. Private, the feeling of seclusion and neighbour free - the best of both worlds made better by a host that balances your needs with respectful distance. Make a pizza in the wood fired oven and then warm your bones in the spa boat and arching the harbour u til the sun melts away listening to birds evening song. We can’t wait to head back and hopefully catch the big uncle of the 12 lb snapper we caught in the raglan harbour!!! Outstanding place.

What a special place to stay. Beautiful home with incredible views. Every amenity one could need (include a bottle of wine and fab chocolate to welcome us), super comfortable beds, beach towels, a fully equipped kitchen, barbecue, and plenty of seating for our family to socialize in multiple different locations. The views are spectacular (did I mention that already). It was super easy to stroll into town or, even better, stroll down for a swim in the estuary (my personal favorite) or walk on the beach. Our family was coming from all over the world for our reunion and every single person wanted to come back and stay here again. Duane was really easy to communicate with and gave several different sleeping options for accommodating possible additional family members. Would love to stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay here. The view is incredible and we loved being able to access the waterfront and use of the kayaks. Margaret was so nice and was always quick to respond to any messages. The property matched the description and photos.

Great accommodation for our needs!

We had an amazing weekend in this beautiful waterfront property. The house was great and had such a stunning view over the Harbour. It is a real gem of a place and we all had a wonderful weekend. Being able to borrow the kayaks and paddle out to Quail Island was a huge highlight. Thanks so much Howard and Sarah - we hope to come back again in the future.

We felt highly welcome. Vanessa answered a question within minutes and helped out. She asked us if we need anything from the supermarket ( is 45 min. away). Well equipped apartment. Silence. Beach nearly just for us. Perfect. 😀

A hidden gem at the waterfront! A great place to stay, authentic and with beautiful views. You can walk into the water from the house and take a dip. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely try to come back one day!

I really felt at home in Rob’s place. First Rob is so helpful and took time to review everything in the house. He tailored the information book for our family, which those little details are noticed. His home is spacious and in a nice quiet, beautiful location.

Wonderful stay in an idyllic place. So restful ... it matches it's name.. a real sanctuary. Very comfrtable cottage with all that was required for an enjoyable and peaceful stay. Bed linen was high quality ensuring a restful sleep. Beautiful garden and seafront, where we managed a swim at hide tide. Few minutes drive to eateries and good base for karikari peninsula and Cape Reigna. Would highly recommend. Host was very responsive. One note of caution is to ensure you get exact address in advance as google maps sent us on a wild goose chase!

Fantastic views and space for the price! This is perfect for all types of occasions with a group of family or friends. The host was responsive and we were given clear instructions on everything regarding to the house, check in, directions, recycling, etc! Highly recommended!

Paul and Katalina place was a perfect stop,it was in a very private part of their lodge looking out towards Karekare beach and farmland. The bed was super comfortable which was so needed after two bad ones. Takeaways close by for dinner and a beer. Will def be back to stay and would highly recommend A++++

Great spot 100m walk to the beach. Just down the road from the boat ramp. Had everything we needed for a 3 night stay. Super easy communication and instructions.

Rose was an amazing host, topped only by the wonderfully unique experience offered by her seaside cabin! It was a true escape from the mundane, requiring a short drive on unpaved paddocks to access, adding to its charm and authenticity. (When returning after dark, watch up for furry and featherly neighbours!) You are then greeted with a self contained tiny home nestled between Rose's well groomed farm and the untamed ocean. This is a truly secluded retreat with beautiful sunrises over the pacific, dancing birds, meditating goats and endlesdly soothing sounds of crashing waves. The cabin is well equipped with a mini kitchenette (no microwave), heating, luxurious bathroom and cosy bedroom with a beautiful view of the ocean, and external utilities including a fire pit, BBQ and even a canoe (we did not brave it). Rose was an amazing host, greeting us on arrival and teaching us how to access the cabin. Her Sunday only cafe, the Farmshop, is also highly recommended, especially the pizza!

We loved our stay, beautiful surroundings and nice to get to explore them with the kayaks and paddle boards available. Belinda and her husband were above and beyond hosts, will definitely be back!

John was exceedingly friendly and quick to respond to us throughout the process. We were two Americans traveling by the seat of our pants, and even though this was probably the fourth Airbnb we contacted in our search of the area, we could not have chosen a better place to spend our time in the Bay of Islands. LOVE LOVE LOOOOOVE! This was well worth it, as somebody who loves Taranaki (from Auckland) this is the best place to show somebody from another country how beautiful Taranaki is. Gorgeous views, sheltered from wind and rain (unfortunate timing for us with the weather haha) and great walks around the property. Lovely amenities, and eco friendly too!!! Awesome garden too.

A truly magical hideaway at Kereru Cabin, even with a wet and windy first day. The cabin is cosy and perfectly positioned with stunning views over Enclosure Bay. I swam, hiked, kayaked and even enjoyed a Sunday sauna just a short walk away. The space is beautifully set up for a peaceful solo retreat, with everything you need to unwind. The outdoor shower, BBQ, and thoughtful eco touches made it feel close to nature without compromising comfort. I’ll remember those views for a very long time. A big thank you to Sean and Charlotte – you’ve created something really special. Highly recommend!
