A very peaceful and quiet retreat in a lovely part of the North East. It was so quiet and relaxing spending time in the hot tub and inside the cottage. Although this is no fault of Rachael's and/or the cottage please be wary that if you're over 6 foot you will be ducking a lot! I banged my head twice coming out of the bathroom when going during the night and still half asleep (again, this is nothing against the host or the location - just a pre-warning!)

I absolutely loved our stay at Barnacre Alpacas, we stayed in the rose cottage, it was very clean and the hot tub was a bonus. We enjoyed the alpaca walk and talk, that was something I’ll never forget! On arrival the cottage was dressed up for a birthday surprise and champagne and chocolates was left for us. Thank you to Paul and Debbie, we will be back!

Angela’s place was fabulous, we have young children and Angela went above and beyond to make our stay great, would definitely recommend to others, Angela is a wonderful host! The cottage is also very well equipped and clean!

Absolutely fantastic!! The cottage was gorgeous.from when you first walk into the beautiful kitchen with its niche fixtures and fittings and the lovely sitting/living room the very homely two generous sized bedrooms and the amazing shower/bathroom. It really was beautiful. The outside decking area with loads of seating and the best bit a massive hot tub which Ellen checked every day to make sure it was all as it should.fantastic host! Ellen was always there if anything was needed even tho it wasn’t,everything was nice & easy!! The Northumberland coastline is a joy to walk over! And only 10 minutes walk from the cottage!pubs and restaurants are around 10 minutes drive but at least it’s along nice country roads. Gutted to of had to leave but would definitely love to visit again!!

We enjoyed a great break in Peewit Cottage, which was spotless and had everything you need. The surroundings were well looked after and amenities great. The little touches, including the welcome pack (best we’ve had and included the dog!) and Prosecco and strawberries to enjoy in the hot tub were thoughtful and lovely. All the information you need is provided prior to arrival or readily available within the cottage. We used the cottage as a base to visit local attractions, all easily accessible by car. Glen was both very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend and somewhere we would return to. Thank you, Jacqueline!

Mark’s and Michelle’s home is by far the best place we’ve stayed in. Everything’s exactly what was in the description— all the amenities are well cared for and the attention to detail are well thought of. So you can also expect a luxurious and pleasant getaway for a reasonable price. Thank you again to you both for your warm hospitality! We’ve had perfect and relaxing weekend rest. We’ll for sure come back— a little longer stay next time.

We had a lovely stay. The house is beautiful and well presented. Location is great enough out of the way to relax but close enough to lots of different things to do to keep the kids busy. Well equipped with everything you could need to make the stay easy and comfortable.

Lovely cosy quiet cottage with good garden space to sit out and for dogs to play . Fabulous location minutes from the beach . Spotlessly clean , comfy bed , good shower , and the tea, coffee , milk etc on arrival a thoughtful touch . Alison was a lovely host , friendly and helpful .

The cottage was wonderful. A charming stay in the lovely town of Amble. We explored lots and Diane’s recommendations were excellent!

First time I have used AirBB and I was really pleased I did. Jane's place is absolutely fab. The location is great for the town centre and the harbour. Had great food all three nights. Went out in the car to various locations and castles in the area and went walking. The cottage was exactly as described and was clean and tidy. Will be going later on in year or definately next year. Thank Ypo Jane for letting me stay in your loverly cottage.

My third stay at Nicks place was brilliant. Looking forward to going again soon.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. The property was spotless, beautifully decorated, and exactly as described. Jan was incredibly thoughtful and responsive, leaving little touches that made the stay feel extra special. The bed was super comfortable, the kitchen fully stocked, and the outdoor space was great, perfect or morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. The location was ideal, peaceful and quiet, yet close enough to explore the local beaches, restaurants/pubs, and nearby attractions. This place is a gem, and we feel lucky to have found it

Lovely stay at seashell cottage. Large property , Clean and tidy . Thank-you to Jen for putting up the Xmas tree and making the house look so festive . Also thank you for all the extra goodies that were left. They were unexpected but a lovely surprise. The house is situated within walking distance to the beach, the Marina and the town . Had a wonderful meal in the Harbour inn which is just down the road from the house. Plenty of unrestricted parking also on the street . Across from the house is a field which is a great bonus for the dogs. The field runs down to the dunes and onto the beach . All in all a good place to stay and ideally situated for exploring other areas in Northumberland.

What can I say... Absolutely fantastic place. You couldn't ask for anything more. Really peaceful location with fantastic views of the hills etc. We had a strange issue but this was sorted out very swiftly by Malcolm 👍 We will definitely be looking to book again and have another peaceful time just watching the world go by. We needed a place to stay while our bathroom was being remodelled, and it needed to be close to home so we could check on the progress of the work. Violet Cottage fitted our needs perfectly. It was clean, comfortable, well stocked with essentials (the chocolate biscuits were a bonus) and was simply everything we’ve come to expect from an Airbnb Superhost. Grant was very responsive when we had questions and generally made sure our stay was entirely to our satisfaction. For out of town visitors, this place is close to the city centre, close to the river and close to a lot of facilities, both for basic needs and entertainment. We highly recommend Violet Cottage.

Our stay in this property was wonderful. It was fully equipped with everything you may hope for whilst enjoying a family stay away. Tahir made himself avaliable if we had any issue and communication with Deborah and Tahir was reliable and helpful. The rooms were spacious and the property was heated well. It was a perfect location and a place we hope to visit again sometime in the future.

Have just spent 4 nights at Elmhurst. Beautiful, traditional cottage with all of the home comforts. Wood burner, well stocked with logs. Very well equipped cottage. Chris really is the best. Highly recommended.

Priory Cottage was beautifully presented, with everything we needed for our stay. It was lovely to have a welcome basket as well as tea, coffee, sugar, condiments and cleaning items which is not the case at every property we've stayed at. The place was warm and cozy with a great bathroom and comfortable bed. Mark and Emma were both very friendly and welcoming when we met them and recommended a lot of places to visit which was great as we hadn't been to the area before. We had a lovely week in Northumberland and will definitely be coming back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in spite of the cold and rainy weather. The house is warm and cosy and provides a welcome haven at the end of the day. The house offers all you need for a very comfortable break. The bedding is clean and crisp and the towels are fluffy. All the kitchen equipment is in pristine condition. Very comfortable, the beds and sofas offered a home from home experience. Our doggies also enjoyed their stay.

We had a lovely stay at Gardeners Cottage. It was clean and comfortable with great views of the countryside. Tim was polite and communicated well with us. It’s such a beautiful part of the country and the people are so friendly. Hope to stay here again soon.
