Lovely cottage - beautifully restored, cosy and very clean. We especially liked the sun room during the daytime, and the log burner for the chilly evenings. The area is stunning, and Hartington has lots of amenities - shops, tearooms, nice pub. Dave was really helpful and responded to our queries very quickly. Would definitely stay again!

We had a great stay at Benjamin’s house. Comfortably accommodated 7 adults and 4 children. Benjamin’s communication was excellent throughout. The house is lovely and the photos don’t do justice to the amount of space. Very well equipped. Bakewell town centre is under 5 minutes walk away. Playground and pub also very close. Located on a quiet cul de sac with enough space on the drive for three cars. Would highly recommend.

The property was clean, quirky and homely which was just what we expected. We already knew the location well and there were plenty of shops, eateries and supermarkets. It was just what our family needed to be together in the evenings after a family bereavement. Jane was lovely, friendly and very responsive despite being abroad at the time. There was everything you could wish for provided and a great dining room with drinks fridge for eating together. Thanks Jane for letting us stay in your unique home.❤️

We very much enjoyed our stay. The accommodation was very well presented with all modern conveniences. We appreciated having a dedicated parking space on the drive. The family enjoyed watching movies together on the large TV in the living room in the evening. The location was good with most places within easy reach. Highly recommended.

The house was spotless, very clean and beautiful views. Much bigger than we expected its a lovely home, very clear instructions on how to find it and easy self check in

We had a lovely stay the night before our wedding with my bridesmaids, the hosts were great with anything needed, everywhere was extremely clean and the amenities were great for what we needed and more!

We had a lovely stay at Sorrel House. The property is just as described and was wonderful for a weekend away with longstanding friends. Grinshill is a peaceful village with good walking, and a relatively short drive or taxi ride away from Shrewsbury where we went for food in the evening. Everything about our stay was great and we’d look to book again!

The Hen house is a little gem. The garden and surrounding area is idyllic and the house is charming. We had a lovely couple of days relaxing and thoroughly loved our stay. Brian and Judy are lovely hosts and I highly recommend a stay with them.

Absolutely perfect apartment. Beautifully furnished and exceptionally equipped with all you need for a relaxing break. Very clean and bright. Every inch is aesthetically pleasing and lots of interesting magazines and books to relax with. With two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms it is excellent value. There were so many thoughtful extras provided too. Plenty of high quality coffee, tea and other beverages. Fresh milk, bread, butter and fruit as well as cereals, spreads etc. Sue is a very lovely hostess and made sure we had a great stay. All set in a fabulous village location in the Cheshire countryside. 100% Recommend a stay here.

We stayed two nights at Avril’s apartment and it was great. Easy to find, fully equipped, warm, comfortable. Avril and John were very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. In fact we were spoilt as Avril had left us a variety of essentials such as milk and fruit as well as some treats like a bottle of red wine! As soon as we arrived we were able to make our dinner in the fully equipped kitchen and then settle down on the sofa to watch the tv. Wi-fi worked well too. The apartment is very quiet and peaceful away from any road noise and situated in a lovely large garden. The next day we went walking in the Peak District which is on the doorstep of Chapel En Le Frith. Highly Recommended.

Everything was spotlessly clean and Abby was a fantastic host who helped us with local recommendations for food, drinks and places to hike. The furniture was all very comfortable and the shower was amazing! We could park right outside the property which was within 5 minutes walk of lovely pubs, shops and cafes. The studio was quiet and private and we would highly recommend staying here to take advantage of the beautiful local area.

We loved our stay at Kate's apartment. Firstly, Kate is a fantastic host and communication was spot on prior to our visit. The apartment is well looked after, spotlessly clean and maintained to a high standard. Everything has been well thought out and you will absolutely 100% have everything you need for your stay. We loved that the apartment had a 'home from home' feel to it; our 3 year old and 19 month daughters loved exploring (it's a bit of a tardis with plenty of space!) and really appreciated the toys that were there. The local area is ideal for exploring all that the peak district has to offer. Highly recommend trips to Thornbridge Estate and hiring bikes along the Monsal trail. If you want to stay in and cook then it's no problem as the apartment has everything you need however you won't go far wrong if you decide to eat at Toll Bar Chippy (about a minutes stroll down the hill) or Stella's Kitchen located not far from Eyam. Overall, highly recommended. Would love to return.

We had a lovely stay in Buxton! The location is amazing—just a short walk into town, which made everything super convenient. The two bedrooms were perfect for our group and very comfortable. We did end up using the sofa bed as well; just a heads-up that it’s on the smaller side, so something to keep in mind if your a 6 person group. When we realised we’d forgotten to bring bedding for it, Fiona was incredibly kind and helped us out, which we really appreciated. Overall, a great place and a wonderful host.

The apartment was beautiful and the photos did not do it justice.. ideally located, we walked along the Monsal Trail to Bakewell and in the opposite direction to Monsal Head.. the station cafe was perfect for breakfast too. There are some lovely pubs just down the road in Ashford in the Water and Chatsworth House is also on the doorstep. We had the most relaxing break between Christmas and the New Year. I would highly recommend..

Second time staying here and everything just as good as the first time. Perfect space for a weekend away close to all the amenities of Buxton and easy driving to areas of the Peak District. Items left in the fridge for our arrival, a lovely welcoming touch. It’s so quiet and can park right outside the door and yet in walking distance to all the restaurants and shops in Buxton. We will return!

Amazing place to stay, I will always recommend as we are returning guests and we shall be returning in May and August.self check in which we love due to our social anxieties but the host is there always if you need them for any help. There is a folder about the area and recommendations to cafes/pubs around the area which is so helpful. There is also a few pages about the animals and their names which I loved. On arrival you also have free range eggs which i think is a lovely touch. just a beautiful place with all the very friendly animals, including a sheep which kept talking to my daughter. The place is always spotless and ready for guests, the bed is like a marshmallow I've never fallen asleep so quick. so this place is just a home from home now and I look forward to more trips here. Thank you again

We had a delightful long weekend in Karl's flat. Everything was just as we expected from the listing on Airbnb, Karl was very easy to communicate with and helped us settle in, so we felt right at home straight away. The flat is very comfortable, has everything you need, and really feels like a home from home. I'd recommend it, and look forward to staying there again next time I'm in Buxton.

Great place with everything you need, very clean and even left treats out for the pooch :) within easy walking distance of Buxton center and host was very responsive to messages. absolutely no problems and would 100% recommend.

Fantastic hosts during our stay and speedy communication and responses prior. Tranquil setting in the beautifully kept grounds, very well equipped cottage with such a comfortable nights sleep too. The finer details of posh hand soaps/shampoos etc and handmade jam & lemon drizzle cake added to the above and beyond experience. Cannot fault it one bit and cannot wait to visit again soon. Thank you for such a wonderful birthday celebration x

Really enjoyed our one night stay at Brewer’s Cottage. Everything was as described, check in was easy and the cottage was well equipped and very clean. Thank you Penny ☺️

What a place!! Beautiful accommodation, set close to woodlands and a lake. Private and peaceful. The bedrooms were all bigger then expected, and a large lounge area to relax in. The kitchen offered all you could ask for, with plenty of seating for the 10 of us. As for the welcome hamper, never had one like it before. Local produce. Gin, wine and beers. Cakes and biscuits. Cheese and chutney, and even homemade bread in the oven. The games room in the basement really topped it off, especially with the children, and every night ended with a game of snooker or darts. Plenty of outdoors area to enjoy our first BBQ of the year, and space for the kids to run around and play games. As for the host, Victoria, nothing was tok much trouble. Early check-in, as we wanted to make the most of the weekend. Always on hand to suggest local attractions and bars/restaurants. Even before the holiday, any queries were swiftly answered. A great host, and a great time had by all, would definitely recommend.
