Amazing host, amazing property. Hard to leave

I could not say enough good things about Silvio's beautiful, beautiful home. Nestled away far from the bustle of Monteverde and the never-ending tourist attractions Costa Rica offers, Silvio's home is a quiet, peaceful respite. The long, bumpy driveway is a scenic experience in itself, and we spotted almost as much wildlife from our driveway or in the trees around the home as we did on some nature hikes! Photos of both the home and the incredible view honestly don't do this place justice. As other reviewers have mentioned, a 4x4 is definitely necessary to access this place, but well worth it. Amenities were perfect- hot water, reliable WiFi, extra blankets, and the banana bread at check in was also a lovely touch. We regrettably didn't have time to hike the trails surrounding the property, but we did get multiple check ins from the incredibly friendly horses. I could not recommend this property more. Thank you for a lovely stay!!

We loved Carolina's property! The home was perfect for our family of ten ranging in age from 3 to 73. It was clean and beautiful. Manuel stopped by the first day and offered us a "night tour". He was fun and informative, especially with our children, explaining the "creatures" and encouraging us all to relax and listen to the night sounds. The hot tub on the back deck was a hit and well enjoyed. It was very quiet around us and we felt safe at all times. Carolina was very prompt answering any questions that we had. We had a lot of adventures planned but wished we had included an extra day just to enjoy the property. We highly recommend.

Eine wunderschöne und einzigartige Unterkunft inmitten der Natur! Das Zimmer bietet sehr viel Platz und einen direkten Blick ins Grüne. Die Küche ist mit grundlegenden Utensilien ausgestattet - sogar eine kleine Tiefkühltruhe ist vorhanden. Restaurants und schöne Strände gut erreichbar, aber da die Unterkunft auf einem Hügel ein wenig abseits des Zentrums liegt, empfiehlt es sich daher einen Roller, ATV oder Auto zu mieten.

I could seriously go on forever about how magnificent my stay at David’s place was. The home is beautiful, the grounds are out of this world immaculate, and David is an incredibly kind and attentive man. I was a woman alone and felt very, very safe. Monterrey is a sweet, special town and has a grocery store a walk away from your front gates. I feel beyond fortunate to have had the privilege to spend time in his home and will dream of being back in perpetuity. I can’t say thank you enough! All the best :)

I can’t say enough about Jennie and her beautiful home. Our family of five all had enough space to spread out. She provided a lot of recommendations and was very responsive which is nice when you are visiting another country. Her recommendations were spot on and we had a blast visiting this beautiful part of the world.

The photos do not do the house justice. Beth has made every effort to make this house feel like home. There was warm banana bread and homemade lemonade waiting when you arrived. She is a great communicator and goes above and beyond to help her guests. Beth arranged for several local tours with a highly skilled guide. Juan Ramon was top notch.

Absolutely loved this place. It was our “splurge” Airbnb compared to the others we stayed at in Costa Rica. Nelson was amazing and always willing to help us. We felt very safe and secluded in the Airbnb. Absolutely beautiful surroundings and the view especially at sunset was amazing. Our only regret was not having enough time to explore the trails on the property. Great place - will take my family here the next time I visit Monteverde. Thank you Nelson and Jean.

Excelente estadia, lugar cerca de bastantes playas, lugar super privado perfecto para relajarse y descansar. La comunicación excelente, incluso nos permitieron hacer late check out lo cual se agradece mucho ya que íbamos con un bebé.

La maison de Keylin est très bien situé sur la montagne. Très grand, avec toutes les commodités pour un séjour exceptionnel. Le bain tourbillon est fantastique. Nous recommandons sans hésitation la maison de Keylin pour votre séjour à Arenal !

This 3 bedroom house within the grounds of the El Silencio de Campo resort was so perfect for our family! We wanted a comfortable home base with a kitchen to be able to prepare some of our own meals, but also wanted amenities like a pool, bar, restaurant and this house far exceeded our expectations and also has hot springs, free breakfast, and a little farm!! So perfect! It’s just outside the busy area of La Fortuna with easy access to the volcano up the road and shops and restaurants. Luis and the rest of the staff were so friendly and helpful and set up a wonderful horseback riding excursion for us and made great suggestions on hikes and activities. We would love to come back!!

Great place. Felt remote and private. Very beautiful surroundings and view of the volcano. The territory is so large it has its own trail. Was so nice to walk around the farm in the mornings, watch wildlife and don't encounter anyone else. House was in great shape, clean and stocked. A little bit of a drive from town center but privacy and seclusion is worth it.

We had a wonderful stay here. Very pleasant villa, lots of space and light. We also much enjoyed the outdoor tub/ shower. The sounds of the creek were great to fall asleep to. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped. The location was fine, within 15 minutes or so to either Montezuma or Santa Teresa. We would come back!

The view over the lake arenal is just phenomenal! The house has a huge garden with some fruits, herbs & vegetables wich we were allowed to eat. We can for sure recommend.

Très bel emplacement, la piscine, la cuisine extérieure! Seul bémol, la laveuse sécheuse n’est pas accessible. En dormant 3 nuits, nous avions accès à 3 hrs de lavage, sans corde à linge. Je devais aviser le propriétaire pour lui dire d’ouvrir la porte de la buanderie.

House is on a dairy farm, cozy and comfortable. Kitchen is equipped with everything you need for cooking, thank you very much. You do need to buy your food before you go since it is a little remote. There is someone working in the middle of the night next to the house and that might bother you if you are a light sleeper. One of the bathroom does not have hot water at the time and it seems common that kitchen does not have hot water. We are ok since there is another bathroom has warm enough water for shower.

La vue était magnifique ainsi que l'espace extérieure. Nous avons eu beaucoup de plaisir avec nos amis et nos 6 enfants! La maison est propre et la piscine est un beau must! Oscar a bien envoyé les instructions les jours précédents, mais difficile à rejoindre avant cela. Par contre, il nous a bien accueilli et a été super gentil!

Just book it, you will not be disappointed. Absolutely beautiful and peaceful setting. Photos and listing are exactly as described - clean, well-kept, has everything you need. I was so happy getting to wake up on this property each morning and enjoyed star-gazing at night. I would 100% rebook this Airbnb if I were ever visiting this area, again. Thank you for the amazing stay.

Disfrutamos de una casa muy confortable en un lugar precioso. Hicimos un tour en barco por el lago y otro a caballo por la montaña. Solo estuvimos una noche pero quisimos aprovechar al máximo. Recomiendo quedarse más noches porque hay mucho en la zona para disfrutar.

We had the most magical and unforgettable stay here with our three young children!The house is beautiful and very well equipped- we were even given a high chair and a cot. The pool and the fire pit are such a fun addition too. We had dinner outside every evening and watched the monkeys in the trees, and then gazed at that starry sky- such a treat! There’s a beautiful kids playground as well which was a great surprise, with a trampoline, swings, tree house, hammock etc! We visited the goats and the horse everyday and went on the farm tour which we highly Recommend, we got to milk a goat and feed a baby goat! The tasting at the end was also delicious. Playa Avellana is beautiful and only a short drive away, with the most beautiful sunset. We couldn’t have enjoyed our time here more!

L’endroit est un peu isolé, ce qui est parfait pour le repos après une journée de voyage. Nous avons eu un spectacle privé d’aras rouges au petit matin directement du balcon. Le logement était impeccable, et l’ambiance très agréable pour les soupers sur la terrasse! Tout simplement magnifique!
