This Airbnb was truly a unique experience. The accommodation was perfect for our girls trip. It was close to town, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Albita recommended bringing ear plugs for sleeping because the wind and I’m very glad we did. The wind was so loud but added to the experience and as loud as it sounded, the balcony was still so peaceful. The views were incomparable and we saw rainbows both mornings. The host was very helpful and made us feel welcome and safe. I would recommend this location to anyone staying in Monteverde.

Stunning and private place. The house is beautifully designed for feeling immersed in nature and has a wonderful layout. The pool was long enough for swimming laps which was great. Love this place.

This Airbnb was absolutely perfect. The location was stunning, with incredible views of the lake and volcano. The place was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. We had everything we needed. The host was great—super responsive and helpful, making sure everything went smoothly and answered all our questions. It was also just a short drive to the lake, perfect for swimming and exploring. Overall, an amazing stay. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with beautiful views and a great host, this is the place!

The pictures of this place don’t do it justice, the views are spectacular! This property is perched on a mountain with great outdoor space to sit, and with a restaurant in walking distance that offers good food, cocktails and a really nice staff. We pretty much ate breakfast and dinner there almost every day. There’s also another restaurant at the bottom of the hill, along with a general store for snacks, beer, etc. It’s conveniently located near zip lining, hanging bridges and the Arenal National Park. If you want to add some time by the pool, you can buy day passes at The Springs Resort & Spa. We hiked and did jungle excursions in the mornings and hung out by the hot springs and pools in the afternoons. The only thing that I would have changed is that I would have liked to stay longer.

Amazing home. We enjoyed the great view and relaxing on the deck. The kitchen was easy to prepare meals in. Beautiful home. I enjoyed dealing up early to the sun and the sound of howler monkeys. If you like sleeping in I recommend bringing an eye mask. Definitely need the right vehicle as the road is dirt and pretty rough but only 10-15 minutes into town. We enjoyed being outside of town and the view is great. I’d recommend this home to all my friends

We had a lovely time at Casa Mariposa - the house is located in a very tranquil area just a short drive away from La Fortuna (if you have a car, very much worth it!). Everything was impeccable when we checked-in and the house was very well furnished with all kind of electrodomestics in case you are planning on cooking there: air fryer, blender, rice cooker, toaster... between others. The outdoor area was lovely to have and so peaceful. If you are lucky enough, you may be able to spot the Arenal volcano; we could not see it during our stay as too cloudy, but I guess this is the perfect excuse to come back ;)

Ein echtes Juwel in mitten des Dschungels. Habe diese Unterkunft zu Beginn meiner Urlaubsplanung gesehen und kam nicht mehr davon ab. Es hat sich definitiv geholt hier her zukommen

This home is beautiful and the location on the beach is amazing. There was a learning curve to get the air conditioning working properly which was likely user error on our part. Bring a soft cooler to carry cold beverages down to the beach so you dont need to run up and down the stairs.. Despite the minor criticisms above i would highly recommend this place. Thank you for allowing us to stay!

It's a wonderful place to stay more time than the one we chose. It's a quiet place, with a great scenery and lots of wildlife. I will recommended for a week vacation away from everything.

Teako House was a really great stay, incredible value for the money, and a truly local experience in a real tico neighborhood that is located in a lush peaceful valley. The apartment was simple but surprisingly spacious and upgrades have been made since these pictures so I found things a bit more spruced up than I expected! From the little terrace you can see the surrounding teak farm and watch the clouds roll by (literally, you're in a cloud forest sometimes!). And the host Juan Carlos is a super nice local surfer and business owner who is stoked to offer up recommendations, etc. if you want them. I had to get some work done during my stay so I particularly appreciated the fast wifi and gorgeous relaxing nature view from the dining table that I used as my desk.

We had an excellent stay here while in Monteverde. The views were unbeatable, and everything in the unit itself well maintained! Yami was an excellent host, very responsive and always ready to give recommendations. It was a very tranquil getaway, would certainly come back!

Beautiful location with Marina, mountain and stunning sunrise views over the ocean. Pool was a good temperature and home was clean and spacious!

Sergio has a fantastic place that is perfect for our extended family. The house is quirky and a challenge to navigate—there are a lot of steps everywhere. However, every room is a gem, and everything works. Sergio was an ideal host - such a difference from company-places with remote staff that don't care a damn. We all had an amazing time. We hope to be back soon!

Not only is this my favorite Airbnb I’ve stayed in, it is also one of the most beautiful and thoughtfully decorated homes I’ve stepped foot in. If design and ambience are important to you, you could truly ask for nothing more than what Pura Verde has to offer. The location is about 40 minutes from any major “tourist” excursions, but the drive is easy enough, and worth the distance for the serenity of this home and all the hospitality that the small town of Nuevo Arenal has to offer. Danielle is a sweet and communicative host. She responded immediately to all of my questions and concerns. I always try to plan vacations to someplace new, but it will be hard not to return to Nuevo Arenal to stay in this house specifically. Thank you, Danielle! 💛

We enjoy a lot to spend holidays in this place, is peaceful, beautiful and confortable, I really recommend Villa Corazon. Looking forward to come back soon.

We really enjoyed our stay. Having access to the beach club was a big bonus. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, paricularily Mario, Maria and Freddy.

A slice of paradise! One of the most fantastic experiences I have ever had! The bungalow was exactly as pictured and the property was immaculate. It is a nature lover’s paradise. I was specifically visiting the area for bird watching, and while the property is not specifically set up with bird watching in mind, it naturally lends itself to fantastic birding! My sister and I loved our stay. The hosts were great and very responsive. I would go back in a heartbeat! Truly a once in a life time experience!!!! (Tip: I would highly recommend having at minimum high clearance vehicle (small SUV or bigger), and 4wheel drive if it has been raining. The roads are dirt/gravel getting up to the house. There were sedans making the drive but I felt more comfortable in our suv. I sent the host a picture of our potential rental car and they were very prompt in letting me know if it would work for the drive to get there).

Giselles place was beautiful! Nicely put together and beautiful indoor outdoor concept. PLEASE TAKE NOTE: it is in a VERY SMALL town. Roads are not paved, I recommend 4x4 vehicle with some clearance since most roads are not paved and bring snacks/groceries the neighboring towns and things to do are a bit of a drive but if you don’t mind this place is a GEM! Errol and Giselle were extremely friendly and helpful!

What an amazing place. The nicest Airbnb we've ever stayed at. Super luxe and beautiful, peaceful but still just a 9 minute drive to San Guanillo for beaches, restaurants, etc. Only 30 minutes to Nosara's beaches too. We stayed here with another family and their kids and loved it. So much fun by the beautiful pool, watching amazing sunsets each night and enjoying the beautiful house. Steven, the property manager was so attentive, suggesting great restaurants and activities and getting back to us right away. He helped us find a chef to cook a few dinners for us while we were there too. 100% recommend and 100% will stay here again when we return to Costa Rica. Tuanis!

Surprisingly well decorated house! Glenda, if you are the creative force behind the design and decor of this place, you are to be commended! There were 5 women in my group and the “aesthetic” was of their dreams. Amazing that so much function and cool vibe was able to fit under that one roof. Fully functional kitchen, hot tub, and grill were great amenities. The logo towels were a nice touch. So many good things. Great job.
