What a delight it was to stay with lovely Isra. He and his wife/family have created such a rustic, relaxed and peaceful oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok city. We enjoyed the experience of arriving by cross river boat, were greeted with a delicious home cooked meal overlooking the water with all sorts of vessels and loved hearing Isra's interesting life story & meeting his enthusuastic young friend, Dai. Isra was always happy to help, gave us some great tips for exploring Ko Kret & his family (shout out to his wife, younger brother and gorgeous nephew who were very kind) prepared an incredible Thai BBQ on our last night. The resident cats were also very loveable and playful. Our only regret is not timing our visit with the weekend, to visit the local markets & brewery, but we were still able to ride around and see the Mon potteries & the incredible old rice mill building. Thank you, Isra. Your smile, vision and sense of fun will stay with us.

I’ve loved my stay here. Su and Koi have just been incredible hosts and I’ve been so blessed by their hospitality. I wanted somewhere a little quieter, out of downtown Bangkok and this has fit the bill very well. It’s provided a nice place to relax and enjoy the breeze and the views on the river. Breakfast is included every morning, including several options of food as well as coffee and juice. Taxi cost from Suvarnabhumi airport is about 700 baht if you take the tollway. If I am ever back in Bangkok I know I will be coming back here to stay again, both for the location and the excellence of the owners.

Had a short but lovely stay with Isra. Extremely kind and helpful host. Such a cool place as well (read information carefully, as this place is not for everyone), absolutely loved the slow life at Baan Golite. Isra was helpful in arranging transport so we could explore the rest of the island. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. Air-conditioning worked well, and the bathroom was large and clean. There's some noise from the long tail boats and nearby mosques, so bring some earplugs if you're a light sleeper. Otherwise it's an extremely peaceful spot with only sounds from nature!

I finished my stay in Chalinee's very nice apartment, after extending twice. It was a very pleasant experience and Chalinee remained a very gracious host right through to the end. I would recommend staying in any property offered by her.

Great place to be at, beautiful views & great amenities. About 30 mins from central spots in the city which can be helpful if you need quiet time in the big city. Most beautiful sunsets seen from this condo. In case you have vehicle, you may need to find alt spaces to park at but it's not a bother. A good practice is to check with your host in case of any queries / issues as she's responsive and helpful.

Na Vayla Paplern is a pearl. Cool, luminous and rare. It's honest and warm beauty hugs you once you reach the green leafy welcoming entrance, and continues to entrance you in these jaded times of cookie cutter monotony. Pros: Where else will you get such spiffy, neat rooms? Such real welcoming smiles? Such a real ambience - far away from the glitz of monotonous downtowns with a canal flowing next door! Such a breakfast my goodness, such a fresh breakfast every single morning. Thai, Korean, Japanese curries and what have you; crisp fritters, flaky doughy creations, mangoes - yes, yes, in mid February that too- and light freshly made confectionary! Such a generous, kind and helping couple, the owners Tuck and Plaen. Cons: Can't think of any! Those of you who wish to smell, feel, and eat real Bangkok, look no further. 'Cause the day Conde Naste features these two wizards - what with the two super cool vegan restaurants too that they run in Bangkok - they may just be booked out!!

Superbe séjour au logement de Une, situé au calme le long d'un fleuve. Assortis d'un charme fou, tout en bois et confortable. Les hotes sont très agréables et réactifs, le petit déjeuner servi ravira vos papilles. À une petite dizaine en minute en scooter des temples du centres. Restauration à proximité.

Fully enjoyed my stay at Baan Boon Homestay. P’Sani (and family) are all wonderful and super responsive and helpful. They cook great breakfast and are very communicative of cleaning days, check in/out, etc. Super convenient to have laundry readily accessible. The house is tucked away a little bit but if you find the parking lot (Homestay sign is painted on the wall), you’ll find the place super quickly!

This is a really great value in a super location, run by a really nice family. A few things stood out compared to other airbnbs I’ve stayed at in Bangkok over the last six years: - the WiFi is reliable, - the shower has hot water, good water pressure, and a filter! - the bed is comfortable by western standards, - the breakfast every morning in the restaurant downstairs is a really generous (and tasty) thing for the family to provide, - the laundry service, at 60 baht per kilo, is much less expensive than the wash & fold places I’ve usually used in town, - the location is a comfortable walk to Terminal 21, so very convenient to public transportation, and it’s also close to a lot of fantastic restaurants and cafes. Overall, it’s a good value for a comfortable stay in a great location, suitable for both short and longer visits. Enjoy!
