We had a wonderful stay here! The house was clean & had everything we could have needed for the week, even a few things we didn't think of ourselves. The hot tub was amazing. Highly recommend staying here! 💯

We had a great time, John thought of everything you could need. Place was as described however it was bigger then we had expected. If your gonna be in the area it’s a must to stay at John’s. Even his staff was friendly and helpful, when looking for fish markets and with any questions we asked about the area. We couldn’t say enough good things! The place/grounds are beautiful. Thank you John!

Everything was wonderful, easy to get in, and our host John was very helpful and friendly. Hotub was clean no trash in the yards felt just like home. comfortable beds the walkway to the beach was very private enjoyed that as well. Overall our stay was amazing and would love to be able to stay there again. We had so much fun <3 provided us with some detergent to wash clothes I thought that was thoughtful.

I have never stayed at such a peaceful airbnb. The home was as described, this was the perfect mini getaway!

To say this house was a dream come true would be an understatement. From the moment we drove up the long driveway and laid eyes on the picturesque setting of the red house nestled in the woods, we fell in love. My 17-year old daughter walked in and said the pictures online did it no justice and she is exactly right. The house was immaculate, with every feature you could possibly imagine. The technology throughout was unbelievable. Google Home in EVERY room. TVs with surround sound. A game room that kept us busy for hours. A karaoke machine. It was a much needed getaway. Our dogs were in heaven with the acres of land to explore on walks. I have never felt so relaxed. I just can’t say enough. I love the city of Cape Charles but honestly did not want to leave this house. The host, Dave, was so great with communicating, even before we arrived. We will definitely plan another visit here! I would say the only downside was getting carpel tunnel trying to beat high scores in the arcade room. ?

Beautiful location right on the beach! We took our shoes off when we arrived and didn’t put them back on until we left! It was so nice to hear the waves from the patio.

This is a marvelous space. A charming and well maintained space. Very airy. Feels homey but not dusty or too lived him. Can’t wait to come back.

We had a wonderful stay. It wasn’t a fancy place by any means lol but it got the job done! We enjoyed being right on the beach and all of the local restaurants near us. Would stay here again.

We are in the middle of a move still, sold our house and are airbnb hopping until we can find forever. This place was a nice layover for the winter months. The place was kept clean, although slightly dated. When you walk in, it really feels like coming back to grandmas house for a sleepover. We had two minor leaks and those were quickly remedied. The host is responsive! One leak happened on new years and had our maintenance man out the same day. There is no dishwasher, so the dishes are in the condition the previous tenant leaves them. This is of no fault to the host, however I did find I had to rewash many dishes before we could use them. There was a huge selection of dishes to choose from though, and we were able to get around the cleanup without putting the brakes on our evening routine. We didn’t get to explore the city much, as we all caught the viruses circulating this year, so we stayed cozy in this place for the months.

An absolute oasis! We unfortunately had a very rainy time during our stay, but had a blast fishing and swimming in between the storms. And just a short drive from the beach when the sun did shine! Kayaks, pool floats, a grill, all the little details were provided. Dawn answered any questions we had while staying and was accommodating when we couldn’t stay the required length! A couple things to note: The small wood dock pictured is no longer there. A little bit of a bummer but just some muddy shoes when fishing and harder to get in and out of the kayaks. The conventional oven does not work. A ninja air fryer oven is provided but is obviously a bit smaller, so a sheet pan dinner or something of the sort is not an option. I would also recommend bringing tinfoil for the baking tray in the ninja (especially if you want to make cookies!) as it is more of a wire rack. Both of those things still left us with an incredible vacation but just wanted to note for guests! Would book again!

Leslie’s place was a nice roomy cottage on the lake! In a great location with a really pretty view out back-we went out every morning and evening to see the ducks and cranes! The house had everything we needed and the couches and beds were very comfy. Leslie was very responsive and gave us some great advice while we were there! We will probably stay again in the future!

We had a terrific time at Jimmy’s cottage on the beach. You are just steps away from the water and can settle in right there with beach chairs or walk for miles on a fine sandy beach. There is always a ship or two to watch. The cottage has everything you need and has a great layout for privacy with one bedroom and bathroom on opposite sides of the house. The cottage is clean, has everything you need for relaxation and if you want, cooking something up. There is outdoor seating, a table and chairs, a grill and a hammock to while away your time in the sunny afternoon. Jimmy is incredibly friendly and responsive to any issues or needs you may have. He even let us check in early the first morning as the cottage was available. The towels and linen are super comfy as are the beds. It’s a great place to unwind and relax. Terrific seafood at Willoughby by the Bay which is just down the road at the end of the Spit. It’s a dive but the food is five star. Jimmy’s cottage is wonderful!

I preface by saying we are super hosts of a boutique Airbnb with luxury amenities. We understand just how much work it takes to maintain a property & provide a great experience to all. The location is fantastic. Very quiet street within a working class neighborhood. Neighborhood kids and puppies running around their front yards, happy as can be. Police actively patrolling the area. We felt very safe and I really enjoyed the back patio, overlooking the creek. What a treat! Walkable to the gorgeous waterfront. The house layout was great, rooms large, beds comfortable. Toiletries are not provided (no shampoo/conditioner).Piping hot shower water, nice cold AC. Towels were clean, plentiful, but stained. Like many parts of the home (kitchen towels/utensils/ sponges/tile/etc), it’s just time to replace. Again, it’s not necessarily dirty, that specific flooring is notorious for transferring its print, but your feet will look grimy. Great choice for a budget family option. Would stay again!

This was such an amazing place to stay with immediate access to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel and all that town center has to offer. The place itself was spotless and comfortable with so much historic charm. And each bedroom had its own bathroom, coffee maker and thermostat. Best of both: hotel convenience with Airbnb charm and privacy! We will definitely be back!

Had a great day, very cozy. Was great for the family. Was very impressed with how well equipped the kitchen was for cooking meals. Will stay again.
