Grassy Creek Cabooses are a great place for a peaceful getaway. We enjoyed getting away from our schedules and responsibilities to just enjoy life in the mountains. Our daughter and fur-babies loved it, as well!

We wanted to do something unique & different for our anniversary & this did NOT disappoint. From the “main” road you can see the 3 red cabooses up on the hill & our hearts smiled. They recently had storms & we could see where the flood waters deteriorated the sides of the driveway but it was still wide enough for us to pass another small vehicle if needed. Office Check in was a breeze and took less than five mins before we were standing in our getaway train(caboose) which is on a real track! We were the only ones staying this weekend but if others were present, there was plenty of room. Our furbabies throughly enjoyed having a large field in front of the cabooses to run in. The views from the swings were breathtaking especially during the sunsets. Once Inside, we enjoyed the comforts of home (except for a stove). The hotness of the water & the relaxing hot tub added to our experience. Some things were dated but that is to come with the territory. We hope to visit again in the fall.

Very fun and different kind of stay - and we happened to be there on the night of an open house next door at the old train station where the model train club meets. We saw the huge model train set-up in the back room. The caboose was clean and very comfortable. Great hosts, fast to respond.

Cheryl's place was fantastic! The caboose was so cute and cozy. Beautiful surroundings and so peaceful. We enjoyed all the animals. The bison feeding was fun to watch, Cheryl's parents provided a lot of interesting facts about the bison. Looking forward to going back and taking the grandkids!

This was the best airbnb we have ever stayed at. It was such a charming little place and the kids (9, 2, and 6 months) had the best time. The older 2 were so amazed at everything and was happy to be able to play with all the toys around the property. We had everything we needed and more. When our toddler had a little accident outside, Pat and Doris personally came out to check in on us which we greatly appreciated.

Beautiful location, place as described. Jacuzzi was great. Lots of hot water. Good water pressure, good shower. Bed was comfortable. Donnie was helpful and responsive.

The Caboose was just as described - and though compact, as is a caboose, it had great charm… for the kid in everyone. With good weather there is a nice deck with grill to enjoy. Very peaceful with the Hocking Hill trail heads all just minutes away. I would come again.

We stayed with our two dogs at Donnie's caboose over Thanksgiving while visiting family in the area. The location was great and super close to our family. It was quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again!

Deb’s BNB was outstanding, perfect getaway if you’re looking for peace and alone time with a beautiful farm view and the cows are even more pleasant and an added bonus! Highly recommend and will definitely be back to visit again!

The Caboose is an amazing place. We loved all of the incredible details and finding the qr codes and learning the history. Bryan has created just such a magical space. We loved drinking coffee in the morning in the loft and watching the sun rise over the river. The location was perfect for driving into town and exploring Marietta. We had a great weekend and cannot wait to come back!

This place was so cute . I thought it was very clean and cozy. I would definately choose it again . It was perfect for the occassion .

We had the best time! Usually, we use our Air B'n'B as a base and go exploring, but this time, the Hamilton was a destination in itself! Our 7-year-old declared it "best hotel ever." Our 11-year-old tried the rotary phone and the typewriter, having only seen photos of such things before. We loved the attention to historic detail. And we liked playing the included board game "Ticket to Ride," which was right on theme.

What a unique spot for an overnight stay. This was a decommission train car renovated into a lovely tiny home. Checkin was easy, when we arrived we shared some cheese and crackers popped a bottle of champagne. The hot tub was well maintained and ready for soaking, on a clear night the moon and stars were visible in the sky. What a nice touch it was to have cozy bathrobes waiting to snuggle by the fire. We stayed here after a train ride through the Royal Gorge, which totally made for a fantastic train themed weekend. Thank you.

We had an absolutely amazing time at Jarret’s airbnb. Perfect location, picturesque views out of every window, very quiet and private. The kitchen was very well stocked, and the layout and use of space makes it very livable for extended stays. Jarret was an amazing host, offered great advice on some local places to visit which made our trip even better, we will definitely be back! Highly recommended!

This was truly a fun and unique experience for us. We travel to this area often and this was probably the most unique and novel places we've stayed. My 8 year old son has really been into trains (real and model) this year and it was a fun surprise to realize he was staying in a real caboose. I've always thought a caboose would make a neat cabin and it didn't disappoint! Its really like staying in a super cool and unique cabin/camper and the surroundings really make it feel like you're out there when in reality you're only about 5 min from town. The space is thoughtfully appointed and makes the most of what it has. I would recommend bringing a hotplate/propane stove or a charcoal/gas grill if you want to cook your own food just as you would camping. Handcut hollow trail access is just down the road, which is nice for mountain bike riders.

The caboose is super cute and whimsical. It is a rustic “cabin” but had everything necessary. The couch is uncomfortable so don’t plan a long lazy vacation watching movies. But it is a great jumping off place for the activities in the area. The caboose cupola made for a perfect morning coffee spot and afternoon reading nook!

Amazing and tranquil location, and one of the most unique airbnbs we've had the pleasure of staying in! Very clean and quiet, while still being walking distance to a great restaurant and wine bar with live music.

It was so nice to be able to get away yet still stay connected. Cynthia was so friendly and easy to communicate with. She truly made be feel like I was a 'friend' of the family. I will definitely be returning to the Caboose. Well worth what I paid for. This is a true gem with a fabulous host.

We had a great time staying in the caboose. Comfy bed, really neat space and nice outdoor area to sit by the fire and watch the stars. I also thought the pricing was reasonable and significantly less than the nearby Marriott we were originally considering. Highly recommended if you like staying in unique spaces and having much more of an experience than a hotel will ever offer. Would definitely stay there again.

I booked last minute for a birthday surprise for my friend and his dog who are train fanatics. Jon and Heather went above and beyond making sure it was a successful Birthday. From arranging an early checkin To little birthday gifts for everyone including “Buckshot” the dog. Topped off by a delicious home made cake. The caboose was everything I dreamed. Modernized and clean yet still the old school rustic train stuff restored to perfect condition. My highlight was sitting in the loft in the Caboose chair having my morning coffee looking out over the peaceful grounds and Forest. A great get away from it all location, still offering all the hustle and bustle of restaurants, town activities, a ski resort, and an amazing lake just minutes away. This is a hidden gem.

The Caboose was secluded and private, and the pictures don’t even do it justice. Had planned on going to town to eat but stayed and ate because it was so beautiful and cozy. We would recommend this place to friends and family who want a quiet getaway.

Our stay was so quiet and peaceful! The view from the bedroom in the morning was beautiful. We sat and watched the ducks play in the pond every day of our stay. Our host Margot was such a treat! She was very communicative and friendly. We loved every aspect of our mini vacay and would definitely stay again.
