Great spot with great things to do for all ages and abilities

We had a fantastic stay at Rob and Ann’s wonderful home. It was absolutely perfect for young children, thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed, thanks to Rob and Ann checking in beforehand to see what would be helpful for us. They were so friendly and welcoming, making sure we had a smooth and enjoyable stay (and left us a delicious cake in the fridge!). The garden was a real highlight! Every corner was wonderfully creative, full of little surprises to explore, keeping our 5.5year old entertained for hours. It felt like an adventure playground designed with so much care and imagination. The house itself had everything we needed, making it a truly relaxing and stress-free stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot for a trip and would absolutely love to return!

We had a lovely time staying in this home, the views were amazing and we’d 100% come again. A good feature was a folder containing everything we needed to know and some recommendations on places to go and eat.

A lovely, well designed home, with some really sweet theming and little touches. There were lots of awesome things for our two kids to play with. Hopefully we'll stay again when we plan another Alton Towers trip!

Just wow. Such a beautiful cottage in the perfect location to explore the peaks. Katie’s recommendations in the welcome book are fantastic. The cottage felt like a home away from home and the village is so quiet and peaceful. Sitting in front of the fire playing chess after a day of exploring was a particular favourite of mine. We even saw the ISS from the secret garden! Katie is super helpful and on hand if you need anything. The most perfect getaway! 🫶🏼

The cottage is in a beautiful location, with lovely views. You can get onto footpaths and bridleways directly from the door, with no driving. Cosy, warm cottage with everything we needed. Very close to drive to Bakewell, supermarkets, pubs, Haddon Hall, Chatsworth. Perfect, relaxing

Stayed at Nicola's fabulous home with friends for a long weekend. Nicola doesn't usually rent out her home so you'll see few reviews but it's a high spec and beautiful house with everything we needed. There's a great outdoor space for sitting and dining with a pizza oven, bbq and hot tub. All very peaceful overlooking fields and the pond. Indoors, there's a large open plan kitchen with snug, bar and dining area. The kitchen has a marble worktop so we were asked and did take great care not to have any spillages. Bedrooms were great with 3 double ensuite and one having a separate bathroom next door. Communication was great with some fantastic recommendations for dinner and Sunday lunch (The Cow at Dalbury and Sycamore Inn at Parwich respectively). We did struggle to get taxis for dinner but Uber did cover the village. A lovely rural area with options for some walking direct from the house. A great house with a great host and would thoroughly recommend. Thanks for letting us stay.

Hosts were wonderful, friendly and did everything to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Quiet and peaceful location whilst also being close to the city centre. All around a great place to stay, would definitely recommend

Amazing stay at Jo’s. Great comms beforehand. Excellent, private location in Beeston. A few mins walk to supermarkets, shops and tram stop. Appartment is exactly as listed with everything you need, including tea and coffee. Always responsive and helpful. Have already booked again.

Daniel was very helpful, very quick to respond to questions, went out of his way to assist in a booking issue with Airb&b, accommodation was fantastic, new apartments with very high specification including appliances, would totally recommend

We spent a lovely 3 nights here with our 2 children (8 & 4) and our dog. The apartment was perfect, had everything we needed. Beds were super comfy & the whole place had a really homely feel to it. The hot tub was great, we also booked the pool on 2 of the days which was really easy and the kids loved having it to ourselves. We used the games room which had some really good equipment in it. The location was a few mins drive into Bakewell. Overall a great family friendly place to stay which we all loved and would happily stay at again.

My partner and I booked to stay here for our anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed it! The air BnB was very clean and we had every single amenity you could think of including fresh bread which we had for breakfast! There were also board games, books and lots of toiletries which were such thoughtful extras. Heating was on regularly so it was nice and toasty, and we both slept so well for both nights of our stay as the bed was so comfy - we both came away for some peace and quiet so we honestly couldn’t have wished for more! Lisa was also very quick at responding and gave us all the information and more for check in, would definitely recommend staying here ❤️

Meghan's property was lovely, and exactly what we needed. Was nice to be able to sit out in the garden and enjoy the weather when not out and about. Was located in a very quiet location and would definitely stay again if we came back!

Nice clean and pretty spacious flat. Good base for visiting student children on Sheffield.

The homestay was really sweet and located on the most beautiful piece of land and surroundings! Kate was really friendly and responsive with any questions before and during the stay! Would for sure come back ~ A great hideaway place with wonderful surroundings and lovely interior ~ also the bonus of heated blankets, something we never knew we needed in our lives!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. Despite having some car troubles on the way there, it was a 10/10 experience all round! Sarah was accommodating and friendly and gave us lots of recommendations for walks and places to visit. The area was beautiful and only a short walk from the village centre. We would definitely stay again, thank you Sarah ❤️

Weekend away for my sons 13th birthday we had a fabulous time we were sad to leave and will definitely return!! Apple pod is a cozy cabin the boys loved the tree house type bed space and we all cuddled up on the king sized bed to watch a movie. Sarah Is a wonderful host friendly and knowledgeable. We loved meeting the Alpacas 🦙 they were also super friendly!!! Perfect peaceful getaway ☺️

We had a lovely stay. The lodge is very cozy, neat and pretty. It has all amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Host is very friendly and responsive as well.

I had the most amazing stay at Cosy Woodcutters near Bakewell! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how charming and peaceful the place was. The cabin was beautifully designed, immaculately clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The setting was absolutely perfect—secluded enough to feel like a true escape, yet still close to Bakewell for exploring. The outdoor area, especially the pizza oven, was a fantastic touch, making our stay feel extra special. Every little detail had been thought of, from the cozy furnishings to the little finishing touches that made the place feel so welcoming. The hosts were lovely and made sure everything was just right for our stay. I honestly couldn’t recommend this place enough for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in the countryside. I’ll definitely be back!
