This is a beautiful, remote getaway. This is not a place to go if you want 10 restaurants in walking distance; this is a place to get away from the rest of the world and relax in gorgeous natural surroundings. Everything was in great condition; we made full use of the kitchen to bake bread and pizza, and played down in the arcade for a good chunk of our weekend. I particularly want to call out the host's flexibility: we visited during a winter storm, snowing us in such that we couldn't get out until late the final day of our stay. The host was completely understanding and we felt no pressure to leave given the unusual situation. To that point, note that the driveway is very steep and relatively narrow; if you're arriving in the rain or at night it'll pay to be extra careful. But it's absolutely worth it!

This place was gorgeous , and very peaceful; it really feels like if you were at home! I love how everything was accessible and convenience for our stay thanks for sharing your home with us!!! It is a very sweet place to be the surrounding also looks and feels safe, will definitely choose the same place again!!!

Sometimes an Airbnb is just a place to stay while you're away. THIS PLACE was a refreshing blessing that literally added to our trip! Having 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms allowed us to all stay comfortably together and yet in our own spaces. The owners have tried to anticipate whatever a guest may need and it was so appreciated. (For example, there is a high chair in the dining room and a baby changing area in one of the bedrooms. There are multiple USB charging ports throughout the house which were so convenient for charging devices! ) There were plenty of linens and the beds were extremely comfortable. Everything was impeccably clean and well cared for. The house was very relaxing to be in and truly felt like a home away from home. Thank You, Bob!!! :-)

Great little place. Worked well for myself and two teenagers even with just one bathroom. Good location relative to Liberty University.

The apartment is very comfortable and cozy feeling. Beautiful, peaceful surroundings. The kitchen and bathroom were both well stocked with anything we might need. Very nice outdoor sitting and eating area as well. We had such a relaxing time!

The place is a nice location where downtown is drivable or walkable depending on preference. The kitchen area was clean as was the bathroom. We enjoyed the vibe and would stay here again!

This is a peaceful downstairs apartment with private entry and beautiful backyard with swimming pool. Mrs Jane was always available to answer our questions. unforgettable experience! We were in town to visit our daughter for the holidays. We had a wonderful stay. We were able to walk to local shops and restaurants. The space was cozy. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen came in handy for our family tradition of baking and decorating holiday cookies.

This place was absolutely gorgeous! If you have an eye and desire for a beautifully crafted and maintained historic home, this is the place for you. Perfect for dog lovers and lake lovers! I’ve rented various condos at Smith Mountain Lake and several different ones at Stripers Landing, but Shannon’s place is now my new favorite. With a great view, plenty of space and the option to bring the pup - it’s such a treat. Highly recommend.

I loved staying at Mariners Landing in this lovely condo. It was perfect for a peaceful couple of nights away in the "off season" though any season at Smith Mountain Lake is beautiful! I enjoyed the amenities including the indoor pool, game room, and beach area, and had a fabulous meal from Bruno's Clubhouse. The condo was beautifully decorated and I spent a lot of time on the lakefront balcony. Definitely recommend a stay here!

My husband and I absolutely loved this little space! Perfect for a couple nights away. We loved how there were a fair amount of restaurants and things to do within walking distance. One of our favorite restaurants (Dish) was right around the corner. The place was super cute and clean. The bed was comfy. Being a texture person, I especially loved the sheets on the bed! My only very little complaint was there weren’t any hand towels in the bathroom. But other than that 10/10 recommend and we would love to go back! Thank you Jessica for having us! ☺️

We loved our stay here! Such a pretty area,appreciated the comfortable chairs on the balcony overlooking the mountains and lake. Very peaceful and quiet this time of year. The unit was bright and sunny,very clean,and the decor was lovely-beautiful and calming. Nice to be able to access the indoor pool and hot tub,just across the expansive lawn at the clubhouse-and the dry sauna and steam room there as well was a bonus! The fireplace is not operational but the remote controlled candles in it did provide a cozy ambiance in the evening. The bed was very comfortable. We look forward to staying here again in the future!

I stayed at Matt & Krista's condo for a month in the off season (March). The view of the mountains and lake is gorgeous and pictures don't do the sunrises and sunsets justice. It was peaceful and quiet with the condo in excellent condition. It had everything I needed and was very clean. Parking was right in front of the condo and the homeowners office staff were also wonderful when I needed them to help me retrieve a package from the mailroom. This was my first time staying in the mountains and I am so glad to have found this little piece of heaven on my first trip. Highly recommend!

Convenient, comfortable and great view. Chris was helpful, flexible, and very responsive. Visited during an epic cold spell and missed the full potential of the lake access which I would live to enjoy next time

Great stay. Cute condo right above restaurant and store. Brought my SUP and used it a lot. Lots to do at Mariner’s landing. Great food and service at The Landing, Bruno’s and Bottles and Bites. State Park 7 minutes away is excellent for hiking. Lots of friendly neighbors! We’re ready to go back!!
