I very much enjoyed my stay. The property is in an idyllic location. The peaceful atmosphere made for a very relaxing few days. Agnes always responded to any requests and I would love to return sometime in the future.

We stayed in Anthony’s house for nearly 4 months in total and only this morning as we packed up my husband commented on what a great find it had been. We were looking for a home from home while we were making frequent trips into Bristol to visit our daughters who both had babies in November. The first thing that struck us was how well equipped Anthony’s house was, not only household basics but clingfilm, foil, plastic bags, plenty of dishwasher tablets and an endless supply of tea towels and hand towels (often in short supply I’ve found in other places). We’d wanted a detached house as I’m a bit fussy about noise and in fact the area was remarkably quiet but only a few minutes walk from the Marina which even in the depths of winter was always an interesting place to walk round. Anthony supplied clean linen and towels on a regular basis. Portishead is a lively town and we found the people very friendly.

We stayed over Christmas, including cooking the feast: the house had everything we needed, was warm, well-equipped and nicely furnished. Minor thing: I’m a big chap, and one of the three beds was, for my comfort, too short and much too soft (and creaky!) so I spent a couple of nights on the sofa sorting my back out (which was great and long enough for comfort!) but that was the only challenge: the rest of my family were very comfortable in their rooms and we had a truly great stay, really appreciated. Lovely weekend away in Bristol and a reunion for my wife and I with my adult 2 sons and their GFs while my daughter is studying at UoB and lived close by. Our dog came too! Good to be close to the Downs and walking distance to Clifton and Bristol City centre. The house was plenty big enough and has been nicely renovated. David, our host, was very helpful with all the admin and recommendations for nice places to eat, pubs and local amenities.

This is a great home in a very convenient location. Its absolutely pristine. There are 2 double bedrooms (standard size double beds, not king size) and a small single. Very comfortable sitting rooms, 2 tvs, every mod con. Only thing to consider is there are quite a lot of personal items which are easy to knock into and not ideal if you have small children.

Beautiful accommodation. The views are stunning. The Seymour arms pub is friendly and welcoming however it doesn’t currently do food. A short drive to Cheddar Gorge. Worth a visit.

It’s a lovely place in a great part of town. Worth a stay if you’re looking to stay somewhere in Bristol where there’s things to do/see as soon as you walk about the door.

A lovely place, very comfortable with quality bedlinen. Penny left a splendid variety of snacks, homemade bread and breakfast goodies, which really made us feel at home. Considering its handy proximity to Whiteladies Road, with great restaurants, bars and quality shopping, the apartment was incredibly quiet. Outside parking is really helpful, as its difficult to find free parking otherwise. We found the walk to Clifton village an easy 20 minute stroll

What a place, what a location, what a city! We were 8 middle aged men on our annual university rugby club reunion attempting to re-live memories of a time gone by! A large spacious top floor flat with an open kitchen/lounge downstairs, 3 bedrooms (4 large beds) upstairs, and amazing views - the place was perfect for us. The location was right near a number of pubs and bars with the rest of the city just a short walk away so no need for taxis to get around. Darts, boat trips, live rugby, great food (the Hat Greek Bistro was fantastic), and a little bit! of drinking kept us busy. I used the one gated parking space with everyone else coming by train. If driving be careful of bus/taxi lanes and one way streets! Bristol has so much to offer with such a great friendly feeling, we all had a great time and said a return trip would be a brilliant idea. Charlotte was the ultimate host and made the whole process and stay really easy - thank you. I would highly recommend.

Had a great weekend stay here, the apartment was well located to explore the city from, Martin's guidance on finding the place and getting in was really clear and helpful!

Absolutely stunning place to stay, the flat is perfect and the views are sublime. Heather is a fantastic host, so friendly, kind and helpful. Would recommend this to anyone, we’ve told many friends about this place already!

A fantastic apartment right in the heart of Bristol’s harbour side. Would enthusiastically recommend. Location: Amazing. Within a few minutes walk of the restaurants, bars, museums and attractions of Bristol’s floating harbour. Right opposite the SS Great Britain. Even so, noise was not a problem due to the modern windows and ancient, thick walls. Property: Spacious, modern, clean, all you could ask for. Beds and bedding were very comfortable. Has two showers and they’re both clean and deliver a brilliant shower with reliable hot water. Kitchen was clean, modern and well-equipped. Good, sharp knives and non-stick pans. Has a truly spectacular TV. Living room opens out onto a private courtyard that has decent sun in the afternoon/evening. There are some steps (4-5) to get from foyer into main apartment. Hosts: Great. Very informative and responsive. Managed by a professional company, so there’s always someone to answer queries, in addition to the owners (who also seemed very nice).

Geoff was the perfect host and we had everything we needed during the stay. The apartment is tastefully decorated and well-stocked - including with some delicious home-made muesli and biscuits - thank you Geoff! It has all the convenience of being situated next to a really handy retail park whilst also backing onto peaceful greenery and a lovely lake which you overlook from the leafy balcony - this was a really nice surprise! The apartment is modern and well-laid out and feels really safe and secure. We'd definitely stay there again. Highly recommended!

George is a first class, friendly and thoughtful host who was quick to respond to our messages. Her accommodation is presented to a very high standard and is well equipped with everything you need for a short or extended stay. We had an excellent three night stay visiting family and hope to return soon.

We have stayed at Joanna's flat on numerous occasions. The location is perfect, you have everything you want and need on your doorstep. I can particularly recommend the Portcullis Pub and the Bristol Fringe as well as any of the Deli's and bakeries. The number 8 bus from next to Nero's will take you into the centre of Bristol in about 10 mins or its about a 20 to 30 min walk down some steep hills. The Clifton Suspension Bridge is about 5 mins walk away. For a short break I cannot recommend this place or location enough.

Wonderful place to stay! Beautiful house nestled in a lovely corner of Bristol. The city is an easy walk away, but the flat is nice and quiet. The flat is a lovely rustic little place, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Norman was very responsive to all my questions, and very helpful with working out things like parking. Would highly recommended to anyone looking for a place to stay.

David’s apartment is very comfortable and has everything you need for a break away. The location is peaceful looking out into a small wooded communal area with a small playground for children if needed. Would stay again.

Lovely comfortable flat. Great location. Felt very welcomed there and it was nice that food and toiletries were left for us.

Incredible hosts, let us leave our bags in the apartment 3 hours before check in and then also let us check in as soon as the cleaners left which was 1.5 hours before check in time, would stay again Thank you!

This was a lovely little place with beautiful views of the countryside. Decorated to a high standard and always nice a warm. I would definitely recommend.

Perfect for our night before flying from Bristol. 15 mins from airport parking. Cosy and comfy and a great nights sleep.
